Has anybody else bought/listened to this album?

It's the first album I have purchased, not pirated. I actually bought the deluxe edition three times (though two of the copies I bought will be gifts).

I don't know if I would say this is his best album but it's one of my favorites. Much better than his previous stuff... This really takes it back to the first LP, with connections to ''Stan'', ''The Real Slim Shady'', and ''I'm Back''.

The only thing I am not really digging is the featured artists doing the choruses. Quite a few songs on here are like that.

My favorite right now is probably Rap God, Love Games, So Much Better, Legacy.... Pretty much all of them. I like every song on this album, which is rare for me.

What did you guys think of it?

I bought a deluxe copy of it as well. It's a pretty solid album. This is my first Eminem album, and I'm liking his music so far.

My favorites on the CD are the moment are

  • Beautiful Pain
  • Desperation
  • Wicked Ways
  • The Monster

I was never really a huge rap fan, but Eminem is a definite exception. His songs are catchy, and are full of emotion. His songs also have some pretty decent lyrics. This CD has such a different sound than the music I normally listen to, and quite frankly it's nice to listen to something new once in a while. I'm glad I made this purchase. I'll have to check out some of his other albums as well.

I would recommend the Marshal Mathers and Slim Shady LPs. They are considered his best work by many.

Personally I really don't like MMLP2. Sounds similar to his last couple albums which have been pretty bad. His main singles are getting repetitive. He needs to start doing his own chorus's again instead of getting Rihanna or Skylar Grey to do it.

  • 4 weeks later...

I have always liked Eminem's work, first song I heard was, "Not Afraid" on his "Recovery" album. But, I really like his new songs as well.

I've noticed he hasn't really worked with other rappers in a while, not sure if I want him to or not. I do plan on purchasing this album though.
