Anyone else here a fan of Rihanna? I'm new to this forum, so please forgive me if I'm offending you by asking this!

 

But for me personally, I love her music. Her voice might not be the strongest currently in the music industry, but she's getting better with each album...I thought Loud was her strongest album yet, and I'm very excited for Talk That Talk to come out in a couple weeks! My favorite songs of hers are "Fading" (from Loud, but not released as a single) and "Disturbia" (from Good Girl Gone Bad).

 

Again, I apologize if anyone here doesn't like Rihanna - no offensive meant!

I was the kid that never got an ipod. But rather than finding my own music, I decided music wasn't important.

Whatever people consider "Good music" or "Bad music" has never been anything other than labels given to songs.

I do what most people would call "adaptation."

Rather than lay on the ground pretending my ears are bleeding when my friend's Country music plays; I sit back, relax, and pretend I like it too, and maybe picture working on my uncles farm. When someone turns on some rap, I pretend to understand what they are saying, and envision living in South Cali.

Classical? I pretend to think of my inner thoughts and relate to the song in some way or another, sometimes even B.S. an impromptu lesson.

I can adapt my "tastes" or my "judgment" to whatever friend I'm with is listening to. I feel it's more important to keep the friendships you build through music, than to lose them because you don't like the same kinds of music. Friendship is magic; and we all know what happens when we lose magic. We turn human.

 

If you like Rihanna, I'll like it too.

I guess her music is okay. Some of it are catchy, but I do not listen to her voluntarily.
