Icarus left the pipe organ playing as he walked up to a large stainglass window.

 

"statistics of the Stalliongrad plague" He said to it. 

 

The window immediately displayed a large list of every death confirmed to be caused by the plague. He scrolled until he came to a very specific name. Spring Bloom.

 

"My darling.... My light....my future wife..... if only I had known more, if only I had been able to save you. I should have been there for you, I should have cured you." He said, a tear rolling down his scarred face as he closed it and looked at the list of millions of names. 

 

"I'm so sorry all of you... I wish I could have saved you.. you all had families, lives, dreams....And I failed you all..." Icarus started to cry, but stopped himself and put his mask on.

 

With a quick turn he walked across the main chamber and to his balcony, witch oversaw the dark grey clouds filled with purple lightning that compromised the pocket dimension. He stared out into the sea darkness, lost in thought.

StarShine ordered a cider and drank it. Her heart unsure what to do. She just looked infront of her.

Sole handed the cider to her and sighed "well, I don't know what it might mean. I'm not really the smart kind of being. But I have met starswirl, and it may have only been once but he was really clever. So I wouldn't be surprised if it was something crazy." He said with a shrug, before realizing he just told somepony that he met a pony that's been dead for over 1000 years. "Did I say I met starswirl? Silly me, I must've drank too much." He said, trying to change the subject

StarShine gave him a look and fixed her glasses "Dude.. Excuse me.. I know your lying. You've met him.. It doesent matter.. I'm just so confused!" She whined.. She looked at her clock necklace. "WHOA! TIME IS 15 minutes ahead" somepony must have teleported ALOT! She focused and fixed time. Her clock returning to normal. She sighed and drank her cider.

Sole sighed, glad she wasn't asking more questions like most ponies would right now. "Well I hope you figure it out, cuz I've got no idea personally." He said with a grin as he shrugged. He had no clue how to run a tavern, but he'd manage somehow until his friend came back.

StarShine smiled and said " Just be a bartender. Stop fights and be awesome!" She giggled and dug into another book. It was another time spell book. She didn't want to admit it but she kind of wanted to become a Time Master deep down.

*After using a couple dozen runes on his leg, finally the bleeding stopped as well as his pain, but the wounds were still open and scabby...it would take days for the magic to fully complete its work...but for now, she was satisfied that his pain was under control at least for the time being. She then shook her head realizing she had receieved a message that had followed them from their last teleport sequence*

My fellow ponies, I am sorry, I am a doctor an I was trying to stop your friend from injuring his leg even worse.  I also apologies for angering you, but I have gone through far worse than any of you can imagine, as you hopefully saw from my face. In any case I am sorry, If he wants later, Tell  you'r friend I will fully heal his leg, for free, if you ever see me around just tell me.

 

*She snorted and shook the message from her head, annoyed but relieved not all was lost of making enemies at the Tavarn*

 

What was taht all about? *Nights asked her just as he was finishing the sandwiches*

 

Some odd, scarred...stallion named Icarus...claims to have experienced far worse things then me and Skylar no doubt too... *she took a plate and handed it next to Skylar as he rested, shrugging off the dark pasts that she had as well as he did that she didn't want to bother to have to compare to...it just wasn't in her at the moment* But at least he was nice enough to offer help...I just didn't know to trust...which is why I came here and-

 

Used Polaris healing wounds, they work ok? *he came over to inspect Skylar's leg*

 

For the most part...His leg appears to stop hurting, of course if he makes any effort then the bleeding is only gonna start up again... He has to sit still till he heals

 

Well knowing Skylar *he giggled* that shouldn't be too hard *he nuzzled her cheek affetionatly* So I take it your visit to the tavarn didn't go so well?

 

Oh Nights! *she pressed herself up agains this stallion chest* It was horrible... a mare flirted with Skylar, then a pirate points a sword at his face.. I jumped in to defend him and-

 

You did what?? *he snorted, backing away from her* You are a Princess!! Why would you throw yourself into line of danger? You should know better! As your Guardian I-

 

My Guardian this, my Guardian that! *she stomped a hoof on the ground* When will there ever be a time where I can defend myself huh? *she turned on him in a huff* Besides I had Skylar with me! He was handling everything just fine and so was I!

 

*Growls and turns into his dragon form, feeling frustrated to have to once again get into this arguement with her* Regardless how you think you handled things...my love... I am still your Guardian, you know how I feel about you getting in harms way! Your too important!

 

To you? Or the world...

 

Now that's not fair and you knwo it *he shrugged* Of COURSE you mean everything to me! But it is also my job and destiny to protect you...why won't you let me? Do you not trust me enough?

 

Oh Nights...*she turned to face him, placing a paw on his leg* It's not that I don't trust you...it's that... there are times I don't think you believe in I can help myself anymore...

 

*Smiles at her point* That is fair my little mare... *he lifted her head to look up at him* maybe we need to find a balance...or compromise at least? The next time you go to the tavarn, please at least let me accompany you this time. No one has to know I'm a dragon...I'll stay in pony form at all times... Only when I feel something is wrong...will I have to take action...you know I'd only do it if I felt the situation called for it...don't you trust me?

*Begins to drift off into sleep as he lays there, feeling totally exhausted from the days events, the rest of his bandage flutters off in the wind and blows out of the cave exposing the bloodied and bruised leg now healed partly by the runes, he shuffles looking uncomfortable on the stone floor, he keeps looking at the pendant as he drifts off into a disturbed sleep, coughing a little, his head slumps forward into his hooves*

 

*As he sleeps he begins to dream of his mare. He finds himself in a familiar hospital room, at first his vision is blurry but as it clears he notices a brown mare with bright pink eyes gazing down at him, smiling gently and brushing his mane. She doesn't speak  but instantly he feels a warmth and comfort filling his body, he whispers in his sleep* Cally.... *Smiles gently as the dream begins to fade and another enters his mind* 

 

*Again he opens his eyes, this time he is lying on a flat stone being cradled in some ponies arms, he stirs gently in her arms and hears a soft familiar voice* Sssh you Silly stallion  I'm here for you now, you don't have to worry anymore *Callette leans down and plants a long deep kiss on him closing her eyes and blushing slightly, he sits up, still cradled in one of her arms and kisses her back, gently moving his lips against hers and holding a hoof around her back, the scene goes on for several more minutes before the dream of their first kiss fades* 

 

*Opens his eyes ever so slightly and stares into the fire, feeling to weak to move but his mind felt at peace, he felt as if she was watching over him even though she was hundreds of miles away, he smiled to himself, blinking a little trying to keep himself awake*

 

*He lifted his head weakly , sniffing as he caught the scent of hot grilled cheese sandwiches next to him, he leans his head over to the plate and starts nibbling, gulping down little bits at the time, closing his eyes and enjoying the taste and the warmth of the meal traveling down his body, after hes finished one sandwich he gives a small burp , blushing a little he looks up at Night lights, catching the last part of the sentence, speaks in a hoarse voice* I agree with you friend... it's a dangerous world out there for a mare... seems like she wasn't the one who needed protecting though... *He puts his head between his hooves and sighs, his pride more wounded than his leg*  -_-

The lightning rumbled loudly as he stood on the balcony. Icarus stood breaking his thoughts and moving inside.Icarus ran a hoof down his face, feeling his his complexion. He relised that the look he had had befor all of this would never be seen again. That he would die like this, horrid and ugly. But he was fine with this. He had saved many lives, and helped many more. And even more personal to him, in her last moments, his mare friend had told him her last words. 

 

"No matter what you look like, I always loved you for who you were Icarus, though my time has ended, yours is still ticking away. Don't waste it" He echoed her last words into the cold walls of the castle. 

 

He walked over to the pipe organ and sat down. It fell silent as it sensed him. He began to play a very famous song "Toccata and Fugue". 

The song came to it's close  a while later. Icarus stood and walked to his bed chamber. He carefully unclothed himself and layed on the be and got under the covers. He looked to the half of the bed next to him, the half his beloved was to sleep in before her demise. Icarus sighed sorrowfully.

 

"It was for the greater good" He mumbled to himself laying down in the bed, knowing that sleep would not come to him tonight.

'What the sam hell have I done?' Seth thought as he rode a train to the equine capital. 'I literally shot people in my own bar out of rage!'

'Of coarse I did! I just let my rage ensue my actions and attacked the ponies. I'm a diplomat for wolf sake.'

 

'Well, if you are sure you are as twisted as you are, then why not talk to somepony who knows what you felt.'

Walking to the back most car, Seth opened the door. With a swift leap, Seth jumped out the back and rolled to a stop.

Volt slowly carried the dead corpse on his back, a simple white blanket over him..

he walked up three flors, beetween pipes and wires, in the cold of the loliness

 

"bring your friend... you dead friend... trough the place he lived in... and where he died... "

"oh.. it is you... no.. the everfree is near.. i will.. i will just burry him there.."

Volt stopped looking at the calm water on his left... the dam he loved was like his mind.. a side filled but calm, simple trillions of liters of calm water, the other side was a powerfull fall, with rage and hate and power...

 

"and i am the only one who decicide what valves to open... it is your mind, it is your dam.. don't let him... "

 

"you produce electricty only when you let the water fall trough the turbines... controlling your life is ok.. but you must let go your instincts sometimes... or the water level will overhelm you.."

 

Volt shaked his head... he was almost on the edge of the dam, he could see the Everfree

 

"inside should be fine.."

 

he digged a ditch, he didn't realized the time flowing,

 

"you can go to the same river, but you will never realy go to the same.. because the water you are touching now is not the same you touched before.. and that's the life friend...i thought i could always had a friend waiting for me at home, never realizing when a friend could need me...i.. i am sorry friend... goodbye... may your new angels wings bring you where you always dreamed to go.."

 

he slowly closed the hole... and staied hee for a while thinking

 

"..and now? what happenes? what other bad things could happen?"

 

Volt left over the tomb a blue flower.. he then started to slowly walk back to the dam

 Tears start to form in Shamrocks eyes. Never in her life has anyone ever said anything like that to her. And she could tell that meant every word. Which made the tears build up more. She  then pulls Ambiance into a loving hug and buries her face in her mane and starts to cry.

StarShine went back to canterlot castle and walked into her room. She yawned and went to her desk. Se had about an hour left till lights out. She opened the book to the last page. "Take this spell and you will disappear, What ever time you want to go to you will appear." She said as she read it. She focused her. Sweat rolling down her forehead. Suddenly the room went white. Clocks spun around her and than she woke up.

 

The sun was crawling up the horizon. She looked around to see she was in her room. She looked at her bed and saw a little version of herself from a. Few years ago. She walked up to her cause she only had 2 minutes. She filly rolled over and saw her. She gasped and said "A-Are you me..?" Star nodded and said "Yes.. I'm older though.. I want you to start studying Time magic now... Because that is your feild. Look at my cutie mark.. It's a musical note with swirls around it. I keep harmony within time. Make sure no body messes it up.. Now goodbye.." She faded away and soon she was back in her room.

*She grinned at both stallions and Skylar before turning her head back to the entrance of the cavern*

 

Well, I had long to go back to Ponyville to do a little late square shopping, after all that nonsense at the Tavern I think I'm just aching for a bit of leg stretching to blow off some steam, maybe find some new apple cider benders other then the Apple family. Or better, maybe the Apple Family are finally selling that rainbow apple jam! Ever had that? *she smacked her lips* So good...like liquid rainbow gold on bread!

 

*Grins at her* If it means that we two stallions can accompany you, m'lady... :comeatus:

 

But...*she looked at Skylar with his still injured leg* What about Skysky? Can't just leave him here while we're out having a little fun on the town.

 

Well if Skylar doesn't mind an old dragon pony pulling him around on a wagon. I could rent one in the town, that is if it's ok with you Skylar? *he giggled at the idea of pulling a wagon, knowing this wasn't the first time he had carried ponies before* Just like old times my friend

*Smiles up at her and Night Lights, standing up on three legs wobbly and swaying to the side a little, he tilts his head a little and shivers as a cold draft through the cave he makes his mind up and nods to the dragon*  Okay friend, I can fly down towards ponyville, that shouldn't put much strain on my leg... though to be honest I could just walk... *He puts his leg down gently and winces badly as it touches the ground, instantly pulls it back up against his body* Okay... yeah... maybe a wagon is the best idea 

 

*Hops over towards the cupboard near the front of the cave, he rummaged inside it remembering where they kept their medical supplies., he pulled out a wad of bandages and ripped off a large strip with his teeth, before leaning on the cupboard, holding out his bad leg he sighed a little seeing how sore and bruised it looked, some of the fur had been torn off as well to reveal the bare skin underneath. Grumbles to himself and yelps a little as he tightens the bandage from his thigh to just below his knee, he bites his lip and blushes, hoping the others didn't hear him* 

 

*Grins over his shoulder at them and hops awkwardly towards the mouth of the cave, gazing outside, closing his eyes enjoying the cold wind blowing on his face and through his mane*  So, shall we head out ?

Sole sat in the now near empty bar and yawned as he looked around the room. "Well, at least I can get some sleep till a customer comes..." He mumbled, before leaning back and pulling his hat over his eyes. If he was going to be sitting there he wanted to not be so bored, so sleeping seemed like the best choice. He knew he'd likely wake up if somepony were to walk in.

Lets! *she smiled and trotted next to him as Nights transformed in a flash of white light into his handsome exotic stallion form* To Ponyville then! *She whinned and reared up, flapping her wings into the night, followed closely by the two stallions*

 

*They all managed to gather some air so they could glide down all the way to the town of Ponyville, making easily good time since the winds were calm on this dark night. After 15mins of gliding down, they landed in the center of the town, taking notice of their enviorment before Night Lights go to work on finding a wagon he could rent to carry Skylar for the time being*

 

*He spotted a small pole keep with three wagons hooked to it along with an elderly earth pony standing next to the wagons, chewing on some wheat while he waited for a local to come up to him. There was a sign next to him that stated "25bits for 4hours" and smiled and approached the earth pony eagerly* Good evening sir. I'd like to purchase a wagon for about 4hrs?

 

Not a problem sonnie, oh you are quite the stocky type too! *he snickred at Nights long dragon like ears and his exotic tail and batlike wings before taking his bag of bits* Please be aware that any damage should happen to the wagon comes out of your pocket. Agreed?

 

Agreed, good evening to you again sir *he strapped on the harness and motioned Skylar to hop on in*

 

*She looked around the town hoping to spot some late night vendors, particairly the Apple Family booths* Where shall we start next studs? *She grinned as she trotted around their wagon eagerly like a silly filly, seeming to forget her horn was exposed as well as her wings out from under her cape*

Icarus sat up. he found it near impossible to sleep at the moment, as his head was flooded with the horrid memories of his life. He instead arose, and decided to find Volt. He had no idea were the dam was, but he figured that he could ask around the town.

 

In a flash of light,that to many would be like looking at lightning for a split second, he teleported out of his home, and into the streets of Ponyville. While they were mainly desolate, there were a few ponies here and there. 

 

"Good, hopefully someone knows were the dam is..." Icarus said to himself.

*He hopped into the wagon and sat down gingerly, tucking his injured leg against his chest, luckily the carriage had some soft hay in the back which made it far more comfortable to sit on. He knelt in the back, placing one hoof on the front of the wagon , he grins over at Bliss and replies*  Well it's pretty late, so most of the shops and what not will be shut... *He tilts his head deep in thought* We could go and eat... but we ate an hour or so ago so maybe it's to early... 

 

*He shoots up and covers his head a little, wincing slightly as he strains his leg a bit, a firework explodes overhead sending red and blue sparks in every direction* What the!!    *Peaks out from under his hooves and sighs* Oh... looks like it was just a firework... uhm... *blushes with embarrassment and grins sheepishly*      *Gazes to his left as a few more shoot up from the other side of town, it looked like a full fledged display though he didn't know of any events this time of year*  Wonder what they are celebrating... you guys want to check it out? They usually have delicious hot dogs and serve hot drinks at those sorts of displays too... *He beats his good hoof playfully on the front of the wagon* Lets go, lets go, lets go!!!

Volt was going to entere the trap door to the lover level of the dam, the place where he held his laboratoy

 

"sun is almost at his highest level... btter for me to return to the darkness.."

 

he said going down trought the corridor, he called an old and rusted elevator

 

"maybe i should use this time to build something for self defence... after all.. Seth has his own laser weapon... i can figure out something with lightining.. like Skylar... maybe... uhm maybe a wileded Tesla Coil..."

 

he opened a note and started to drawn

 

"i wonder how it is going in the tavern.. Seth, Icarus, Bliss, terra and all the others... i somehow miss them... well.. better for both to not been there"

Volt was looking to himself over the metal bar on the door of the elevator

 

"shut up.."

*He grinned at the stallion's eagerness* Well hold on then my silly injured friend! *he trotted towards where the fireworks were coming from*

 

*She followed close behind bringing up the rear, trotting eagerly as the fireworks became more and more frequent. To her  astoneshment though, she noticed she was hungry and they were ironically heading towards the Tavarn further down the town* Shut up stomach...*she kicked her side with her back leg as she trotted to keep up*

 

Are you hungry babe? *he stopped then allowing her to catch up, parking to her annoyance, right in front of the tavern*

 

Not enough to want to eat here... *she glared at the old wooden building that was once inviting* Could we keep going please...before we draw any attention from this place?

 

So this is the Tavarn you two had issues with? *he looked the old wooden building up and down* Doesn't seem like much other then a friendly place for a drink. And you got me and Skylar here with you now at least, why not we stop in?

 

*Her stomach growled in agreement but her mind said otherwise, she walked passed Skylar and Nights* I'd rather eat the hay off the ground... -_-

 

*He grabbed her by her gryphon like tail and pulled her back* Stop being so stubborn my little filly come now, it can't be all bad. If any case, I want to check it out, see if it's as "bad" as you two foals say it is! *He snickered, making it sound like a challenge to Skylar, stepped out of the harness and strolled in*

 

*Facehoofs herself* What am I gonna do with that dragon! *She snorted* Skylar? You coming? *she asked as she headed to the door*

*He sighs a little and hops off the back of the wagon, looking nervously at the tavern then back to Bliss* Looks like we don't have much choice... if bad things start happening again then I'm out of here...   *Hops awkwardly towards the bar and frowns at Night Lights challenge, stopping and holding his leg out* Well they didn't seem to care much about this, I had a sword drawn on me for trying to protect YOUR mare, when I left I got tackled to the ground by one of them for no reason so *Snorts loudly as he brushes past him* Yeah, it is as bad as we say, but since you insist on us going back in then I guess we don't have much choice *Eyes him still frowning* I'm sure we will be safe now Your here though  

 

*Swishes his tail past him and grunts as he struggles to open the door with one hoof, he kicks it open out of frustration and looks around the horrid tavern, memories of the recent events there flooding his mind, he sighs in relief noticing the bar is pretty much empty , he sits gingerly on a table on the other side of the room and puts his feet up on the large round oaken table inbetween the leather chairs, looking a bit cross he fiddles with the pendant on his neck*

*He growls low in his throat at Skylar's complaints though feels a little guilty from his story, regardless he loved Ponyville and didn't like the notion that a simple little Tavarn could be so rough or bad. He escorted Blissy to the table with Skylar and sat down, looking at the menu of ales and food*

 

Shame really...that I don't drink but *he grinned as he observed the menu* at least it looks like a carnivore type being works here, he's got meat on the menu!

 

That would be Seth, the wolf, he owns this Tavarn *she pulled her hood over her head feeling unsafe despite her husband was here* he is a nice wolf, heck he's the first wolf I ever met to be fair. He gave me the loveliest plate of fruits, berries from his lands, that I never sampled before. It seems he imports them, I was hoping to come back here just some...to see if I might buy a barrel off from him if he has it. That is...before the incident...Looks like everypony cleared up. Except for that gryphon over there *she eyeballed the Gryphon Sole who was slumbering at the bar* I guess he's the keeper of the Tavern till Seth returns.
