Once Stella had recovered from two pokemon tackling her, she noticed the grunt swim to Slateport. Not much she could do about that. It's not like she had any pokemon who could catch him. Stella then noticed the Mightyena and Shiftry fighting the mystery trainer's pokemon. Stella couldn't do anything to help, but she was certainly curious as to who he was.

@,

Locke pumped a fist back and whispered a little "Yes!" when the ball stopped moving. He picked the Pokeball back up and let the Ralts out and into his arms. The little guy seemed a little frightened of all the things around him, but the embrace of Locke seemed to keep him somewhat calm. Locke began walking towards Lurele, Revvy trailing behind him. "Yea yea, you won. Still got him though. What should I name him?" Locke thought for a moment and looked at the Ralts. His head looked like it had some sort of helmet on his head, giving Locke a small spark of inspiration. "Hmmm... How bout Knight?" The Pokemon didn't seem to visually make any sort of movement as to whether he liked the name, so Locke shrugged and went with it anyway. (Almost went with Rune :P

Anton immediately looked down to the small Cubchoo taking a seat right on his foot. At first, he was about to jump out, but instead, he made a chattering smile, bending down to get a better look at him. "H-Hey, t-t-t-there, little f-f-fella... D-d-d-d-do you like sitting there?" At the same time, he had also looked up at the odd ice crystal, utterly confused.

That's so weird... This large crystal is just standing out from everything... And the yellow incursions... Something tells me that this might not be a regular ice crystal... Maybe a statue of some sort?

"Well that went well." Miles said somewhat sarcastically once the whole thing was over. It was then he realized he hadn't even told this girl his name. "Oh right, I'm Miles just in case you were wondering." He put out his hand as if he expected a handshake. "Are you are?"

@@Ampharos@,

As the buzzing grew louder, the Mienshao stopped approaching and turned to walk back to Lurele.  Her trainer had told her to get a closer look - she hadn't said ANYTHING about antagonizing whatever was making the sound.  MiMi steps up behind Lurele patiently as her trainer turns to talk with Locke.

Lurele shrugs slightly at Locke, a small smile on her face.  "I dunno, I usually don't name my pokemon until I get to know them...  What is he, anyways?"  She was suddenly wishing she'd done a little bit of research on pokemon native to Hoenn.  ((Going with the fact that Lurele doesn't know about Gallade, because she'd never leave the route until she caught a Ralts otherwise lmao))

As the two trainers were talking, her Lucario was making his way over towards the tree that was shaking every now and then.  "Caarrr..."  If Lurele was going to make him go check out the environment for her, he at least wasn't going to leave her disappointed.  Stepping up to the tree Luke looked up in the upper branches, before smacking the trunk with Force Palm.

Locke shrugged and looked down at the Pokemon. "Pokedex said it's called a Ralts. A psychic type. I just like naming Pokemon so it puts them apart from the others of their kind. Although I guess you wouldn't find many Revvy's out there." Locke looked back at the Gengar and smiled, the Pokemon sparked slightly and giving a smile in return. "So what's up over here?"

"Oh... Okay. Yea, I'm Stella." Stella said, ignoring the handshake as she was far too busy watching the trainer fight. That trainer was certainly powerful, and one of his pokemon was adorable to boot! Even so, this whole situation was... overwhelming. Why did those grunts want her pokemon so badly, anyway?

The formation did absolutely nothing to confirm or deny Anton's suspicions, perhaps other than gleaming slightly. The yellow dots in the pattern began to blink in odd patterns, nothing discernable or understandable at all.

Cubchoo sneezed, then squeaked up at the trainer, whose shoe it sat on.

@,

Tuathal barely even saw the Persian moving before No-name was knocked to the ground. They weren't kidding when they called this the speed room. He hurried to think of something he could do to fight back before his opponent acted again. At those speeds, he doubted there would be enough time to pull off hypnosis as he'd planned, and that left him with few options. But maybe he could trip it up and slow it down. "No-name, use water sport!" The poliwhirl sprayed water all around him, soaking the floor. Hopefully the Persian would slip up on the water, or at least be slowed down enough to give No-name time to do something.

The Persian indeed slipped on the wet floor, but it didn't quite fall over, sliding and losing its balance. Once its feet were firmly planted on the slippery ground, it looked back at its trainer. It seemed the trainer was ready for a sudden loss of traction. "Use Power Gem, Persian!" the trainer called.

The gem laid in Persian's forehead began to glow, and suddenly a pink beam of light blasted straight at Poliwhirl. However, Persian was also pushed backwards from the force of the beam.

Anton looked back down to the Cubchoo, making him chuckle slightly. He was always one for graceful Pokemon, fierce Pokemon, and even rogue Pokemon. "I'm Wally," the trainer said. "I help the Gym Leader guard the town. Come on," he added, looking at Stella's Pokemon, and over at Miles. "Your Pokemon look like they need to visit the Pokemon Center." They started walking, and Wally was talking. "This happens from time to time, you know, Grunts getting cocky and taking off with Pokemon from unsuspecting tourists. They can't really help themselves. People travelling to this region aren't really aware of how bad things are, and are usually unprepared. Both Teams put unusually strong grunts on the borders with Oldale, and encourage this. They want armies." He sighed, looking tired. "I do what I can to keep this from happening, but I can't be everywhere. I do what I can, though, and Norman helps when he can spare the time."

A roar could be heard coming out of a nearby cavern. It seems Cubchoo's momma isn't too happy with the echoing sounds of a human taking her baby.

A dust cloud enveloped the field, making it difficult to see.

And also making hypnosis unusable, as Tuathal noted. It won't work if they can't see it, after all. Which means he still didn't have any real plan. All he could think to do was have No-name keep spraying bubbles in the general direction of it's opponent. Which is what he did. "Keep going No-name!"

She opens her mouth to say something, but pauses when she notices what looked to be dust that had been disturbed rather recently.  Tilting her head slightly she taps her chin with a finger in curiosity.  Did a pokemon come in here from outside..?  Or was someone else here?  It was about that time she heard the rustling sound coming from behind the locked door.  Or make that still in here!  Turning to look at Locke, Lurele brings a finger to her lips in a 'shh' motion before gesturing at the disturbed dust on the floor.  Jerking her head towards the damaged door, she promptly moves to slip through the ruined doorway and further into the gym hoping to find a way around the locked door.

Locke nearly jumped out of his skin when he heard the rustling behind the door. He stifled a yelp and continued walking into the other room with Lurele. He had been awfully tempted to send Revvy into the other room to see what was there by phasing through the wall, but he wouldn't be able to help Revvy if he got into trouble and he wouldn;t be able to understand the ghost if he found anything, so he left the locked room undisturbed. This place was really starting to creep him out. "Soooo... Why are we here in the first place?" he whispered, although that seemed to cause a bit more rustling to be heard trough the wall.

When Wally suggested training one of her pokemon, Stella was absolutely thrilled. Considering Wally was such a powerful trainer, a supercharged Litwick, Cottonee, or Mantyke would be lovely. But, if she had to pick one, a supercharged Litwick would be the best! Furthermore, Litwick might evolve into another adorable pokemon, though Stella had no idea what Litwick evolved into. "Alright, sure!" Stella said, summoning a tired Litwick ((not sure if we already used the pokemon center, or are just near it.)), who let out a little yawn. "I think Litwick could learn something from you, if you ask me."

((Bleh. I wrote this post out this morning but forgot to hit "Post". Good job, me.)

"Yeah, well, I did," said Wally humbly. "Battled the Elite Four, in fact. The old Elite Four I should say," he amended himself. "Ever Grande Conference, you know." He shrugged.

((For the sake of pacing, let's say they've already hit the Pokemon Center.))

Wally lead the duo into an a dusty, empty square midst the construction in Littleroot, where they could train undisturbed. A flick of a pokeball brought out a flowery pokemon wit ha cape. "Okay, Roserade," Wally said. "This trainer's Litwick could use a little help. I think it would really be stronger if you could teach it Energy Ball." Roserade chattered, and wobbled over to stand beside Litwick. It began to chatter to the Litwick, as if instructing it. Then the flowers Roserade had in place of hands began to glow light green, it held them up, and formed a ball of pulsating green energy between them. It then thrust its hands forward, casting the glowing ball at a thick beam of abandoned wood that the construction workers had abandoned. A loud cracking was heard, and the beam splintered, cracked, and was cleaved clearly in two.

"Roserade will take care of Litwick, please don't worry about them," Wally told Stella. He assumed Miles would want training too since they were already up here. "Once it's got the hang of the move, it'll battle Roserade to test its strength. Roserade's strong, and a good teacher. It should be able to get the point across pretty quickly."

@,

@@Ampharos@,

Lurele frowns slightly as she looks around, stubbornly trying to open the locked door and sighing when it doesn't open.  For a moment she thought about having one of her pokemon try and and break it down, but there was no guarantee that would work...  And considering the way the place was already wrecked, she didn't want to risk bringing the ruined gym down around them.

The new room they were in similarly showed recent signs of disturbance. Again, there were two doors, but both were in full repair. Predictably, the left door was locked again. Judging by the dimensions of the building, the room on the left was in the dead center, and the rustling seemed to be even louder coming from that room.

There were no signs of danger. In fact, the damaged room seemed serene, as if the Gym was even more beautiful in death.

There was a small hole in the wall of this room, and vines had started to wriggle in. The room had an earthy feel and scent.

And also making hypnosis unusable, as Tuathal noted. It won't work if they can't see it, after all. Which means he still didn't have any real plan. All he could think to do was have No-name keep spraying bubbles in the general direction of it's opponent. Which is what he did. "Keep going No-name!"

Slipping as it already was, the bubbles, while not doing much damage to the Persian, were quite enough to make it lose balance and fall flat on its face. A whistle blew, and the trainer withdrew her Pokemon. "Persian is unable to battle," she said as the dust settled. "To your left is the Decieve Room, and to your right is the Top Room. Move forward, Trainer, and be careful not to slip."
