AWH snap! Power Pony poster(will update with progress)

So I gave up on the apple family board thing. It was...a failure. So I flipped it over and started a new idea! Humdrum is the smallest part of the board, about 6 inches in diameter dead center in the middle. The actual board is 22x24 so yeah, the ponies will be much larger as opposed to Spike.

So much done today. Lol, jk. Although the poster going good. Gonna draw each pony before I work on their separate backgrounds.

 

Also, ignore the very crappy looking lasso on AJ's part. I just put it there so I would remember to draw it way better later after I've finished the ponies.

The lighting is kind of darkened than what it actually is so you all could see the pencil.

 

I really hate living in Washington, no freakin natural sunlight for me to take better pictures time like this make me want to move to Texas even sooner. :c

This is probably the absolute best sketch I have seen on these forums in a LONG, long, long, long, time.

 

Your style is similar to the show, which makes it comfortable, but you also take your own twist and style which makes it unique and pleasing to the eyes. It's adorable @____@

 

Of course, my best suggestion would be to have better lighting but you already know that

 

However, in my experience in all those times I never had a scanner, is to invest in lamps! XD if you make sure you get the angle right, you can get the lighting to show the picture without having to darken in order to see the lines.

 

But yeah O: DEFINITELY keep up the good work!! <3

I think this is way too big to scan xD

 

But yeah, I'm definitely going to take a bunch of pictures in different areas of my house to find the best possible lighting when I'm totally finished with this.

 

And thank you! I normally don't do this style, but it felt appropriate to do something other than cutesy chibi ponies for their super hero personas xD

Of course I am! But that comes last, I want to color in the ponies before I think about working on backgrounds. All I've got done is Rainbows head, well her face and one eye T3T

Yeah, that's the only thing I have at home. Just a huge bag full of crayola, rose art and crazart colored pencils.

This piece is looking great thus far and I cannot wait to see more as you progress as you get to the rest of the characters.  I am especially impressed by the coloring and I only wish I was that skilled with colored mediums.  But I digress, keep it up and good luck with the rest of this!

 

On a side note, I have merged all of your seperate threads pertaining to this art piece together into this one.  It keeps the forums a bit more organized and less cluttered as well as giving anyone a chance to see the collective progress you are making on your drawing.

I admire your idea (and the fact that you actually did it/ are doing it). I just went through your progress and I'm impressed! I've never really seen your art before. I'm I really big fan of that type of coloring, I really want to learn how to do that.

Haven't done much, but I've finally got back to working on this. I can't stay focused on one pony, I keep jumping around >_<
