Yeah you guys are clear. At this point they can pretty much be whoever or whatever they want they want as long as it fits the story.

From now on to make it easier for me and us probably, I'm going to color code.

Don't mind me... I just can't figure a way to put myself into the strory... so if anyone could help that'd be great.

If you want you can make her have a run in with some thugs in the street and Firelight can save her.

We can manage that, just do something like make them have an altercation of some kind and they need to run. Then they can meet on the trail somehow. :) but its up to you

Well I don't think Pat and River are in the same town as them. They live in the Everfree Forest and they are in city built over where Ponyville used to be. Which as it turns out is pretty far away from everypony else. So I'm either going to cause something to happen that will cause then to have to flee, or I could change things, maybe? I don't think so.
