Interesting. Let's hope they can pull this one off well. I love Nintendo and the company never fails to amaze me.

Oh, Nintendo. Please don't drift off too far into smartphone territory. Smartphones are and always will be a terrible platform for games. Or perhaps I should specify complex games. Although I would definitely argue that games in general do not work to well on the platform, as touch screen controls alone only work for so little, and phones, are well, phones. And their batteries do not handle gaming well enough to justify gaming becoming serious on them.

I know, Nintendo isn't saying "We're going to put Super Mario, Pokemon, and Zelda on smartphones!" but I'm just afraid that a slippery slope could occur, and Nintendo could start feeding into the smartphone market over the real handheld market, which could end badly.

I do believe that the 3DS has thoroughly proven all of the analysts wrong and that there very much is a separate and not-so-small market for the handhelds... I just want Nintendo to be extra careful, because if they do end up starting to go the way that the out-of-touch analysts want them to go, they will lose me.

Well, that's interesting, I guess. Playing demos on my phone, a platform that will never get the full game and is more suited to very simplistic games anyway, doesn't sound very appealing to me but I'm not the target audience for that kind of advertising. I can't even guess how well this will work out, so good luck, Nintendo.
