Caprisha had finally caught a break. She chose the perfect time to take a vacation because the very next day she had received the best mail she had ever gotten. Two weeks at a hotel for freaking free. "This is going to be AWESOME!" She practically shouted as she walked into the hotel.

Nuclear was giddy with glee as she stepped off the train and walked to the hotel with a spring in her step.

She hadn't been to a super fancy hotel like this before because of the almost astronomical costs for all the neat little things one could do at them. It was also due to the fact that she and her friends never made enough bits to afford a nice vacation. But as soon as she had gotten the invite to try out the hotel for FREE, she was happier than a clam.

 

The gray mare cantered into the lobby, an ecstatic grin on her face which was immediately replace with a look of wonder as her eyes scanned the immense space of the hotel lobby. "Oh wow....." she said to herself.

Traveller walked into the large hotel. He looked around in awe. He had never stayed in these types of hotels. It didn't seem worth it. But when he received the letter, he decided to try it. He looked around as he stood there without a word. He began to move, trying to find someone who knew where his room was.

Caprisha walked up to the front desk and rang the bell. She had always liked these bells. "Five stars so far." She joked as a mare approached her.

"Hello there. You must be one if the ponies chosen to test out wonderful Hotel Spades."

Caprisha grinned and nodded. "Sure am. So what room am I staying in?"

"Oh, any room you like. They are all unlocked so feel free to choose one."

Caprisha nodded and grabbed her things and began looking around.

Flying high above the ground, Nova saw the hotel just below him. He tried to contain himself as he prepared for the dive down to the entrance. Usually the hotels he stayed in were on the low end of the pleasure spectrum, so when he saw that he would be to a 5-star hotel for FREE he almost hyperventilated.

 

"Down I go" he said as he began the dive.

Midnight let a joyful smile on her face as she skipped into the hotel.

"A vacation is just what I need!Especially a free one I mean how lucky is that .I bet this hotel has a great kitchen in the hotel room." She thought with a smile still staying strong on her face.

Nuclear trotted up next to Caprisha, dinging the lobby bell with her hoof. "Helloooooo~" she called out, tinging the bell once more.

'Man, how in Equestria did I get picked to try out this place? It's too nice for a silly filly like me.' Nuclear thought, looking around as she waited for a hotel attendant.

Stardust's jaw dropped as his carriage stopped in front of the hotel.

"Wow..." Stardust exclaimed. "This place looked good on the invitation, but once you're here..." Stardust wiped his eyes, still trying to contemplate whether this was a dream or not. "Heh, Guess everypony gets lucky once in a while" he laughed to himself, collecting his luggage from the back of the carriage and making his way into the lobby of the hotel.

A hotel attendant approached Nuclear as she heard the bell ring. "Hello there, you met be miss... Neurotic, if I'm not mistaken. We are pleased to welcome you to Hotel Spades. We do you you enjoy your stay here and that you also have a wonderful wonderful time." The attendant said with a smile. "Though, we do ask one thing of you specifically Miss Neurotic. We would appreciate it if you would refrain from using your... special magic, around the Hotel for obvious reasons."

Traveller heard that he could pick his own room. 'Thats great. Any room...?' He whispered as he moved to where the rooms were.

 

Travelled walked into his room. It was very large, with everything a regular house had. He laughed and placed his bags on his bed before he got out. The Pegasus began moving to one of the small restaurants that was in the lobby. Unlike most of the hotel, this one was very casual. He sat down and ordered a meal as he began to eat.

Caprisha had chosen a room, top floor, it was even better than her own house. She went downstairs to find something to eat since she had a long trip here. She began looking around, trying to find something that wasn't too fancy, even though she could eat anywhere for free. Though out off all the empty places where she could eat she found one place that had a stallion sitting in it eating something. She grinned and snuck up behind him before shouting, "HEY!"

Traveller shot up into the air at the sound. He hit his head, not remembering they weren't outside. He fell and landed in front of the pony that scared him. He stood up and rubbed his head. 'Hey! That...was actually really good.' Traveller laughed as he sat back down in his chair. 'In Traveller. I guess you're here for good, huh?' He greeted the pony in front of him.

Caprisha laughed back at him as she sat down with him at his table. "Hehe, yeah, I'm staying here. I'm Caprisha, nice to scare you Traveller. I've never seen somepony jump that high... well, except for pegasi, but obviously you aren't a Pegasus." Caprisha said with a bit of a giggle.

'So I guess your here for free too? Oh, and you should probably go get some food.' Traveller asked as he attempted to throw his box into a trash can.

'I always travel so I'm outside. I forget that there is a roof too.' He added. 'Speaking of which,' he said, 'what's your cutie mark? Like I said, I travel a lot since that's my cutie mark.'

"Oh! That's okay!" replied the gray mare. She waved a hoof to dismiss any more questions. "No need to worry. I only use my magic when I'm in danger but that won't be a problem here~" she chimed, shifting the two small bags she carried on her back. "Which way is my room?" Nuclear asked, looking around with a confused smile.

Caprisha chuckled at his question. "Telling you what my cutie mark is won't exactly tell you my talent. But if you would really like to know it is a roulette wheel. Now telling you what it means would be an entirely different story thatvwould take a long explanation." Caprisha said with a smile.

The attendant giggled. "Room? Please Miss, you can have any room you like. Just choose and room. They are all unlocked with the keys inside."

Scribblegroove approached the hotel with a disdainful look in his eyes. "This is the 'exclusive' hotel that I was invited for? What am I, a peasant?" The hotel didn't really look like much... "We have anything you could possibly need.... If that includes a music lounge I guess this wont be so bad." His friends had forced him to take a break from composing music for a while. He always obsessively put himself to it, and it became unhealthy how little he slept. A little vacation would do good for him to relax and take his mind of music for a while... Though he was always busy with music, whenever, wherever. Even now he was using his special magical spell to play one of the songs he had composed a few years ago for his graduation at the Jazz Academy in canterlot:

 

 

 

 

The quick tune made him trot with a skip, and he walked towards the opening of the hotel quickly. As soon as he entered the lobby he saw a few ponies standing around as well. "I suppose you are the other invited guests?" He said as he approached the front desk. As he walked there, the music he was making slowly died off and his jaw slowly dropped "Holy guacamole I take it back, this place looks fancy as fancy can be! WOW!" Once inside, he saw the architectual value and the beauty of the building itself, and it made him appreciate the place a bit more. "Must have very good accoustics this place..." He thought.

Once he was at the front desk, he saw a bell that was probably meant to call the hotel administrative. He rang it, and as soon as he heard the sound of it he replicated it using his magic to make a little tune out of it. He liked to joke around with his special talent sometimes. It sounded like the bell had rang at different heights now. He chuckled, and waited for someone to tell him where he could get a room.

'Really? Oh man, I should go get my notebook and take down what you say. That could make for an interesting story...' Traveller mused as he started creating a story. He snapped back and put on a sheepish grin. 'Sorry, I can get off track. Let me go grab the book.' He apologized. He raced into his room and grabbed the notebook and a quill. The Pegasus came back and sat down. 'Explain, please!' He said with excitement as he began to write.

Charcoal hopped out of the wagon and onto the ground, tripping a little as she landed. She leveled her back that were on her back and began walking to the hotel. The place was quite impressive for a hotel, but she would have done a few things differently.

A young mare came up to Scribble and smiled. "Good afternoon sir. Welcome to Hotel Spades, I presume you are Mr... Scribblegroove. Quite the long name. Anyway, we welcome you here and we hope you enjoy your stay. Please choose any room you like and if you have any questions feel free to ask."

As midnight walked in her jaw dropped.

She began to mumble unaware it was out loud "Wow this place is amazing.Now I wonder where my room is?"She walked tords the front desk and rang the bell.She began to think "Man I'm lucky.Getting a free three week vacation is awesome."

The mare walks up to Midnight. "Hello there Miss. Welcome to Hotel Spades. We have everything you would need here to suit your needs. Now, if you have any questions feel free to ask me anything. Now if you are wondering about your room you can choose any room your like. The doors are unlocked and the keys are inside."

Scribblegroove raised a brow when he heard all the rooms were open. "Right, easy as that." He thought. He then wandered around the lobby for a while, and looked at the room, which was very impressing. All the while he was using his magic to play a jazzy lounge tune:

He looked around to see if there were any other guests. One gray, strange looking mare was talking with the hotel employee, and a mare and a stallion were sitting in one of the resteaurants. Besides them there was one other dark-coated mare, a pegasus mare who had just walked into the lobby, and a stallion with his luggage. He called out to all of them.

"Strange that so little ponies get to try out such a big hotel huh... Makes you feel important." He said loudly, and he laughed. He didn't want to go to his room yet, he wanted to socialise with this little group of ponies that were in this huge hotel with him.

Charcoal flinched at how loud the stallion was and shyly walked over to him and gave him a very light tap on the shoulder. "Um... excuse me sir, but... would you terribly mind... at least, if you want, quieting down a bit? I just... I don't like loud sounds very much unless I'm working."

 

 

When Caprisha heard the stallion yell she turned for just a minute before turning back to Traveller. "Wow, he sure is pretty forward. Anyways, now where were we?"
