I knew it was written by Lauren Faust and that made me a little more open to trying it since she did a great job with Powerpuff Girls. Then, it was on Netflix one day, so I figured "Eh? Why not" and really liked it. After watching half of the first season, I made my husband watch a few episodes with me until I forced him to admit it was the best show he'd ever seen (and he totally did). I am a storyteller and writer at heart, but I bring home the bits with my technical writing, statistics, and other boring stuff. My favorite thing to do when I'm bored and feeling anti-productive is to go on Netflix and hit up the Random Picks list. I don't usually find anything really great, but hey, it's something I guess.
