Yup, the PS4 sure is a heavy hitter. Nintendo hasn't had much going on the Wiiu. The 3DS is still alive and kicking and making a lot of money for them. This is the year when big games that Nintendo fans want come out such as SSB4 and Mario Kart 8 so hopefully it pushes more units. Ever since the Wii, Nintendo tried to appeal to a market of casuals and their main "hardcore" crowd. But the casuals really wouldn't be as loyal as they expected because they just like to jump on the new "cool" thing. Wiiu has struggled but I see a brighter things in their future. Microsoft and their new Xbox One didn't really jive well with people because of the new "policies" they were trying to implement into their newest console such as DRM. Sony came right out of the gate with a good release of their console with the promise of showing people that they are about appealing to the "gamer" aspect in all of us. Many people liked what Sony stood for and it makes sense that their console is selling so well. PS3 had a horrible start but now it is an amazing console with a lot of exclusive games that graced it. Sony and Microsoft have been people's choices for more "hardcore" gaming this past generation. Since the Xbox One (even with the restrictions removed might I add) did not sit well with people and made them skeptical of Microsoft's motives the only other choice in their eyes is to go with Nintendo and their new Wiiu which they probably didn't think was a great system since they skipped out on the Wii and saw it more for casuals which regrettably it kind of was or get a PS4 which boasted an impressive array of graphical feat in consoles and gave them things to look forward to and the promise of a much better gaming experience. So in conclusion, it makes me happy to see that the PS4 is doing so well. It gives the other competitors something to strive for and think about because to be honest there couldn't have been such a wide margin of people flocking to one particular console for no reason, there has to be other things involved in that decision.

Sony was planning to have DRM implemented into the PS4 but since the Xbox One got so much negative feedback they removed it and didn't say anything about it. lol Anywho Microsoft is seeming money hungry. Money does make the world go around though. I don't like how I have to pay for the kinect as well if I decide to get a XO. That's why it's $100 more to begin with. It doesn't add much to the gameplay and it's annoying. I don't really have a need to get a XO because Xbox hasn't offered me anything interesting while Sony lately has some great exclusives and cool deals with Playstation Plus. Don't forget "Playstation Now". I already have a Wiiu aswell and it's been lukewarm for me at best because I got it around launch and just now games that I want for the system are going to be coming out. Aw well. :/

Yeah Xbox One is a joke. Anyway if it is coming out later this year (like September) then I have to seriously hurry up and play the other games quick. lol

You punched me right in the gut with this thread. Ouch I don't really want any of these franchises to end except maybe COD and Halo. I like the new direction the Sonic games are taking (with Sonic Boom especially). Mario games are really fun to play and I really like the spin-off titles like Mario tennis/golf/soccer a whole lot. The main games are a bit monotonous but their fun every now and then in my opinion. Resident Evil is a pleasure of my mine even though the latest games have dived off the foundation that it started off of. I just think they can go back to the drawing board and make something that's akin to the older RE games in the series. I really liked Revelations alot because it felt reminiscent of RE1 and it had an interesting but predictable ending. I don't have much of a history with Pokemon or God of War so I don't know what to say about those. :/

I'm also looking forward to KH3. I just need to get myself a next gen system (excluding the Wiiu because I already have it). Hmm PS4 it is! In the mean time I'm gonna spend my time playing the other games in the series. Hopefully KH3 comes out late this year or early 2015 so I have enough time to prepare for it.

I am getting into the Kingdom Hearts series myself. I remember playing the first one when I was younger but I never finished it. I had a girlfriend that I to talk to named Kiveah and she really enjoyed the series. Lately I have been playing through KH2 on the PS2 and I am having a blast with it. I know that it's probably not good to play KH2 before finishing the first one but it's incredibly fun and I don't wanna stop. I'll eventually get around to beating the first one some day. XD

Meh, I alrady own a Wiiu so this doesn't affect me. But hey the people who want a Wiiu can save some $$$ now so I guess that's cool. Lots of good games are coming out in the holiday season so it was a good move however I think that they could have cut the price atleast by $100 to make it $200 which would look MUCH better in the eyes of the consumers and it would really make people think about buying it more since the PS4 and Xbox One are going to be $400+.

Mario Kart is a popular vote and I would have to agree. Mario Kart is like the best racing game out there because literally anyone can get into it. it's fast, fun and enjoyable which makes it a blast to play. Love it to death.

Just like NiceRequiem I also enjoy playing through Sonic's storyline the most because it's fast-paced and fun. I don't really care for the other character's playstyles to be honest.
