@,

"Don't worry, I'm just cold..." but Comet could see that this pony was in some distress. He realeased the pony, still cold but mildly better.

"'IT'? Thanks a lot... It has a name you know. Even before you could of at least said he. Ah who am I kidding... Go ahead, stare at 'it'. Throw peanuts at 'it'. Watch 'it' balance a ball on 'it's' nose..."

@@Comet Starflash,

Honey Jars was thankful that the changeling let go of her. She was thankful of that he hadn't actually hurt her... Unless of course he had drained her of love behind her back! But why would he do that when other ponies were awake? But then he went on a tangent about how she described the Changeling as "It". He sounded... Offended. Quite offended in fact. Honey Jars had done something wrong, again! now he was definitely going to drain the love from her!

"I-I'm sorry! I didn't know because I've never met a Changeling before and I didn't know what a changeling looked like so I just thought that changelings were one Gender or something and..." she took a deep breath, "So I didn't want to offend you by saying she so I just said 'it' because that way you wouldn't get mad If I called you a mare a-and I was scared!" She took another deep breath, followed by many steps back,. Her tangent probably didn't help, and now her throat hurt.

"Well clearly you know nothing about changelings. I didn't realise that ponies were so racist and prejudiced. Are you dead? No. So why do you look scared? You think I'm going to suck out your soul or something?"

Comet's horn lit up green as he changed into his pegasus form.

"Now do you have anything that can burn quickly? I'm still freezing."

Comet's horn lit up green as he changed into his pegasus form.

It was obvious her explanantion didn't clear anything up. The Changeling didn't accept her apology, meaning Honey Jars had done something wrong, terribly wrong. That meant Honey Jars was useless! Honey Jars felt like crying, and she was still thirsty.

"I'm sorry" She replied quietly, her voice wavering and dry. She gave a simple nod and went off, not off to find wood, but to go and get water, and hope the Changeling didn't kill her when she returned.

@@Comet Starflash,

Fiera watched the whole show happen, and facehoofed when the mare left to do who knows what. Fiera hovered over to the now Pegasus looking changeling. "Ahem" she started, hoping to gain its attention. She pointed over at a stack of sticks and wood next to a tree on the edge of the clearing. "There is wood for a fire over there. Feel free to start one. The remaining embers in there should be hot enough to get it going" she said and started walking towards the beach to relax with the water. The monkey jumped off her back before she left the clearing and landed on a nearby crate. It continued to eat its banana and wait for ponies to wake up. It thought it should stand watch and then alert her if somepony woke up.

If Honey Jars had the energy to gallop then Honey Jars would've broken into a gallop the moment she could. Instead she found herself turning around, and watching the Changeling quickly catch up to her. Honey Jars froze up, she was doomed! He would kill her and that would be it! All she wanted was some water, and apparently she wasn't able to do that without a pony chasing her down. Edited by Adventure Sphere

Comet slowed as he aproached Honey and began to speak. "Thanks for waiting up. I thought I would come and aid you in collecting water for the camp."

Comet noticed the horrified look on her face, and when he looked behind him to see what it was he noticed her eyes followed him.

"W-what? I-I don't understand... Me?"

Comet looked sad, and began to walk back to camo nonchalantly.

@@Comet Starflash,

Honey Jars sighed with some parts relief and some parts disappointment. not with Comet, but with herself. She didn't want to make anypony sad, that was a bad thing! Then again, if she convinced him to join her, she would probably get him angry again...

"W-wait." Honey Jars Coughed once, and put a hoof on his shoulder, only to retract it a few moments later in embarrassment. She shook, to tell him that he didn't have to be sad.

Comet stopped at the touch of her hoof. He sat down, lifting his disguise and staring at his hole-riddled hooves. His eyes welled up as he began to shake ever so slightly.

"Why?" He asked nopony in particular.

"Why must I be like this? Did I do something wrong in a previous life? Or am I just cursed with this body for no apparent reason?" Comet hit the ground, and then scraped his hoof toward himself, digging up a mound of dirt as he sniffles

Honey Jars had gone from trying to be nice, to confused very quickly. She was also very shocked that he was fine with being out of cover. That's what Honey Jars assumed the term was, she had never met one before. She was also still thirsty, and really needed to get a drink! Honey Jars went over and stood in front of him.

"umm..." She coughed. Talking was kind of hard. "Are you OK? M-m-mister Changeling Pony?"

Honey Jars promised herself not to talk until after a drink...

Mirror had chosen a secluded spot, far away from the other survivors. She had done so that she might have some peace of kind while she rested. There was less of a chance that anyone would see her scars. As she woke she pulled the hood of her cape over her eyes, in an attempt to shield them from the sun. Sitting up she looked around the clearing. Only a hoof-ful of ponies seemed to be awake.

Since the opportunities to socialize seemed a bit limited, she might as well check whether anything in her saddlebags had been damaged by the water. It might be too late to do anything about it now though....she really should have done this yesterday. Never got the chance. The time had just flown by.

Mirror spent several minutes rummaging around in her saddle bags. The only thing that mattered was her mask. It was damp, but seemed to hold shockingly well. Maybe her mother had had it enchanted? That thought had never occurred to her before. Enchanted or not, it would be a good idea to let it dry. Mirror looked around the clearing for a rock that would be warmed by the sun.

Comet turned to the mare.

"Please, I am no more a pony than you are a stallion. Comet. My name is Comet. At least that's what I call myself. Comet Starflash. My birth name is Itovir Hemata, but I didn't like that much. It's rough translation is, well... Most ponies are scared of it. You sound parched, come. Let us gather water for the camp, and your throat."

@@Comet Starflash,

Honey Jars didn't expect him to be so calm about it, considering he sounded like crying a moment ago. He also had an interesting name. eetoveyr? itover? she would have to learn to say that. She was also, as Comet mentioned, still thirsty, so his proposition was kind of welcome to her. Seeing as how she just promised she wouldn't talk, Honey Jars nodded, and done her best to not be scared that he was a changeling, and that he would eat her.

Zain groaned as he sat up and cursed as he began to fall, he quickly unfolded his wings and caught the air just before hitting the ground. After a moment of rubbing the sleep out of his eyes he looked up at the tree he'd apparently passed out in and sighed "I fell asleep?" He mumbled to himself, before shaking his head "I guess I'll check on those ponies now, see if they've gotten themselves in any trouble or not..." He thought to himself, flying toward the beach

Cinder and Bubble!

Morning brought with it a brilliant sunshine and all the warmth that one might have expected from it: wherever this desolate island was that they had washed up on, it shared its climate with a number if well known locations - many frequented by holidaymakers and the like. Perhaps they were in the tropics, or somewhere off the coast of Saddle Arabia?

The light beamed across the island - it's rats of light shining through the trees and leaving fiery streaks across the golden sand - dappling the ground of the forests with a beautiful shifting vista of colour as the gently swaying leaves cast their shadows.

Wandering into the clearing came the two sisters - one bright eyes and alert, the other bubbly and cheerful. If nothing else, they were determined to make the most if this imperfect situation, each in their own way. One matter that had been decided on between them though, was that some work needed to be done before they could relax - as luxurious as this untouched landscape might be.

"Hey there everypony!" Cinder greeted the still somewhat slumbering ponies cheerfully as they came into view. "Sorry for wandering off, had to go and find..."

"Hey!" Bubble bounced into focus alongside her sister with a much louder cry of joy. "Come on, the suns coming up over the sea and it looks so pretty!"

... anyone might have thought that the mare wasn't taking the situation seriously.

Rolling her eyes with a smile, Cinder shrugged slightly at her sisters 'enthusiasm' - tugging at a vial of liquid from one of the belts slung around her and gulping down half of its contents. "Shes right, its pretty nice. You'll miss it if you just sit around here though - you can get a better view from the beach." She said. "We should put up some real shelter today - the nights get pretty chilly apparently. Oh, and don't mind Bubble - you'll get used to her."

Never quite forgotten.

@,

The monkey on the crate looked around and shrugged. It didn't see any ponies that were awake, so the two ponies must have been addressing it! The monkey smiled and hopped down and walked over to the two ponies. It extended its hand in greeting, knowing it should be polite in case that they were friends of the Red Pegasus with the hurt hooves. It was odd having a friend for the first time, but it made the monkey feel good to have something to talk to other than a banana and a very dirty banana peel...

@,

"I do apologise for any brash changes in my attitude, I'm not quite used to these 'emotions'."

Comet's ears, which looked like they had bites in them, flickered at the sound of a joyful mare.

"I assume that the whole camp will be awake now. Come, as ponies awake they will be thirsty, much like you. We need to find some kind of running water, fresh water. A river will do but a fall would be even better. We will have to find some kind of container for it all, a pot of some kind. Of course!" Comet shouted as he remembered there was pots in the crate and face hoofs. He quickly remembered his black eye from the previous day and retracted into himself with pain.

He ran back to camp, rummaging through the crate and ran back with a good-sized pot.

"Here we are, now we just need to find the water."

Bella sighs as she hugs the edge of the forest. Admiring the soft shimmering of the newly dawned morning, Hue looks around for water to clean with. 'Im horribly dirty' she thinks with a nervous look. Soon she begins to reminisce about the things an old friend once said:

"...And the thing about metaphors is, the word itself is a metaphor! Metaphors, being figures of speech..."

'That beautiful disc is symbolic of new beginnings! Celestia, shall I start again? Ive been horrible and so, so mean -disrespectful even!- . Can I have a second chance?'

"Please" Her warm voice wisps out as she stares into the endless sky.

Cherry Bomb

Cherry was exhausted.

The red Pegasus mare laid there in the surf wearily looking up at the sky as the heat of the sun went to work constantly drying her soaking wet fur, only for the blanket of the sea to come up in an attempt to drag the helpless pony back into the depths of the ocean, but only proving her weight to be too heavy for it to drag, only capable of pushing and pulling various pieces of wreckage either side of her, it was an endless and fruitless battle of the elements of nature with neither side winning.

Cherry raised a hoof to her head and groaned painfully, she had a severe splitting headache but she couldn't for the life of her remember how she got it, or even how she ended up here, or even where "here" was for that matter.

Her ear flicked as she heard noises coming from further up the beach, like somepony talking...considering it was even a pony, and not too far either, if only she wasn't so exhausted...what to do...

The fact that where ever "here" was, it wasn't barren at least, comforted the red mare as she lay there, but she couldn't just stay there soaking wet just "waiting" to be found, no that wouldn't do.

Cherry coughed as she gasped for air, breathing heavily as she gathered up as much air in her lungs, before shouting as loud as she could.

"Heeelp!!....*cough", cough*....

Honey Jars just watched Comet go off on a tangent about the others and water. She didn't want to get water for the others she just wanted a drink! Then again, if she didn't help the group, they would probably hate her a lot. So Honey Jars simply nodded gain. This Changeling was... odd. Well, odd compared to a pony. Honey Jars didn't know a thing about changelings.

Hearing a faint -no, distant- cry, Bella took to the direction of the weak pleas. She thought like a reformed mare, She acted like a reformed mare, She even felt better because she would aid the needy stranger... But was she reformed at all? Perhaps the New Sun ment nothing? Or her very life ment nothing. Either way, she would help them.

*tish-tish, tish-tish* The sand noises, shifts and arcs up into the air. The red fleck in the distance was like a screaming indicator beacon.

Cherry Bomb

"Heel....Heelp!!...*cough *cough*...uhhh...."

It was beginning to get rather difficult to even call for assistance as the pain in Cherry's head continued to throb, she noticed it got worse each time she tried to call out.

Her energy nearly spent the red mare laid her head to one side on the soft, sun baked sand and immediately came across a new problem, falling asleep.

Cherry was already exhausted as it was, but having spent what little energy she had she found herself to the point of nearly passing out, her eyesight blurred from time to time, increasingly becoming more and more difficult to focus on anything.

Celestia's sun wasn't exactly much help either, as it's heat teasingly beckoned her to close her eyes, but she couldn't...she just couldn't give in so quickly, what if no-pony did manage to find her? Then what?

Cherry raised a hoof and lightly bonked herself on the side of the head several times in a desperate bid to keep herself awake, after coincidentally making her headache eve worse she blinked wide-eyed as a brown speck appeared far into the distance, the mare stared at it hopefully...and noticeably for some time....a mirage maybe?

Beginning to doubt if this was in fact a cruel joke being played by Celestia's own sun, Cherry shed a tear while still staring at the speck, clinging onto what appeared to be the tiny shred of hope she had.

Cherry dared herself to blink...but her head slumped with her nose digging into the baking sand as she passed out, unconscious.

"That is a interesting mask," says a voice of one she would recognize, the stallion Mythos from yesterday, though his sudden presence from behind a tree would likely startle the mare as he considered her and the mask. He had found something about Mirror that intrigued him, the recognization of magic he himself used. As an illusionist he could be said to have a sense of when it was used though the question is how and why the mare was using such.

Yet he would not bring this up yet, he would allow the mare to have her secrets, and Mythos had other questions he could ask Mirror. She seemed the quiet sort, not very comfortable around others though he has been proven wrong. It could simply be because of worry and fear, of being in an unknown place with ponies he didn't know... but unless be spoken with her and asked questions he was unlikely to know for sure.

@,

Comet dipped his hoof into a small stream and licked it, spitting it out almost instantly.

"Not good water at all! Maybe if we found the source of this stream it will be better, and bigger. But here, it's full of parasites. We could filter it with some sort of charcoal, but I don't think we have much to hoof. We could boil it, but that would take time. Probably best to just go up river.
