While horses may have been bred by humans, the ponies in this show are not the same thing. Spanish horse breeders couldn't have existed if Spain doesn't exiat. It's a different world entirely. Shanks 10,816 February 24, 2014 Share February 24, 2014 I am fairly certain that horses predate humans so while it is possible that humans could have once existed in that universe that is not sufficient evidence to say one way or another. What is more likely is that horses as we know them on earth may have once existed in Equestria and the ponies we know of in the show could have evolved from them much like how humans evolved from apes.
