Allow me to explain.

 

2x - 3 = 21

 

First, you would add 3 to 21.

 

2x - 3 = 21

            +3

            =24

 

 

Now, you have:

 

2x = 24

 

Now,you would divide 24 by 2.

 

2x = 24

       / 2

       =12

 

Now, you have:

 

x = 12

 

 

Now, let's check to make sure we did it right.

 

2 * 12 - 3 = 21

 

2*12 is 24:

 

24 - 3 = 21

 

24 - 3 is 21.

 

This means x = 12

 

9 wouldn't be the answer because if you multiplied 9 by 2, you would get 18. Then, you would subtract 3 from 18 which is 15, not 21. What you did wrong was that you subtracted 3 from 21 when you should have added it.

I'd argue against what they say about me if I think what they say is trivial (ex. being made fun of because I'm a brony) and because of that, I'd make one insult against them.

 

If what they are saying is true and I agree that I deserve to be made fun of because of it, then I will agree or stay silent.

 

If it's in a non-serious kind of way, I will treat it as such.
