What are your favorite types of fan projects?

Question. What are you favorite type of fan projects that are MLP related?

 

For me its mostly fan art. MLP has really galvanized the artwork community and there are thousands of images being produced everyday now for sites like Deviant art and Rule 34 sites. The abundance of artwork is I think the main advertising for the show and this has reached so many people that videos and fan fiction has contributed to the growing popularity of the show. So for me its mostly artwork. 

 

What are your favorite type of fan projects that you mostly look for?

Mine are definitely the big animation projects like Snowdrop & Button's Adventures.  I've just never seen a community produce that level of fan-work.

Fan songs. Not music, songs like the ones that Jan Animations makes. I would say fan games but the big ones either end up going nowhere or get a cease and desist.

Yes and I do like fan animations in general. My favorite is Button's Adventure.

Animations. I can't wait for Pikapetey's new cartoon to come out! His stuff is so awesome!!! It's far better than the actual show's animation!

I also love the fanfic in being

Good, solid animations make up for the best fan-projects. You usually get a myriad of bronies from all backgrounds working on the same thing, and that's just really special.

It's really hard for me to pick, specifically. Every area of fan art (whether it be visual, musical, written, wood/metal crafting, etc) has good and bad. And I'm not talking just quality. A lot of areas just have mean, hateful, or rude messages D:

 

So for me, I'd have to give you my favourite pieces, not my favourite medium in which to enjoy fan creations.

 

However! If I had to choose the medium I like "best" because I look at it more? Visual art. Non animations.

Music, very much. Considering that the Season 2 crowd (Alex, Silva, Omni, ArtAttack) inspired me to explore music in the first place. It's a less inspiring scene as of late, Brony musics, and I don't listen to it too much anymore. Still, I listen to the old classics and all, and follow them in their current exploits.

I usually like fan animations the best. Fan games are nice, too, but it's SUPER hard to create a worthwhile one :/
