I wish Princess Celestia was real and she helped fix this world's problems

If this happened, church and state would merge.  All religions except for a pony-religion would collapse, and even the pony-religion may not be considered a religion since it would be undeniable fact.

 

Other than that, it is very hard for me to imagine all of the good things that would come out of this, and even harder to imagine any negatives.  However, our world has lots of technology and other cultural aspects that Celestia (and other princesses) would not be able to comprehend quickly.

I think Celestia would be far too humble to accept worshippers, and at the first sign of worship, she would ask that people don't worship her. Even in Equestria, her people don't see her as a goddess, but as a princess, even though she has divine powers, so is technically a goddess as well as a princess). Although I doubt that would stop many people from worshipping her anyway. I think most people would stick with their religion, especially in Asian countries and Middle Eastern countries, where people are a lot more traditional than the west.

 

Also, if Bill Clinton could read a huge thick book on Russian culture on a flight to Russia and know more about Russia than the Russians from that one flight, then I'm sure Celestia could learn more than enough about our world, if she's given a decent amount of time to prepare (she could obviously study before she even goes to the summit, with help of the one who is keeping her safe until she goes). And if she did go to our world with the intent of helping us, I believe she would've prepared months, maybe years ago, and by the time she got here she would know everything about us. And even if she knew little/nothing about our planet, mostly she would just need to listen to the other people speaking, and obviously read a map, but she would be bright enough to know what to say in a lot of cases. Although, I'm not sure how she'd do when trying to solve problems that stem from religious differences, that is a touchy subject. But maybe seeing a magical 1000 year old talking pony would make them be a little less militant about their religions, and show them that they don't know everything xD

 

As for what she would offer, she would offer simple, but effective fixes to problems. If needed, she could even send some ponies to go around and fix problems for different countries. A lot of countries are at war because of famine and poverty. She could send some earth ponies to those regions to help grow crops. The unicorns could help developing countries industrialize, since they have a lot of intellect. They could make machines that run on magic, like what the Flim Flam bros did. Although once all the ponies leave, the question is, how do we keep the machines running when they run out of power? I was gonna say the Pegasi could change the weather in areas that are hit by famine, but weather works differently here. Although maybe they would still have some kind of effect.

 

Thought of another thing. Although it wouldn't be as cool, it would still be cool if they sent another pony to discuss peace. Possibly Zecora? She's also wise (maybe even wiser than Celestia, although nopony has Celestia's gift of putting people at ease. She could come up with ways to cure illnesses that were thought incurable, and grow food in places that were thought barren. Luna could be another candidate, although if Celestia wouldn't go due to her people needing her too much, Luna probably wouldn't go either, although I think she would be more likely to take pity on the people but who knows. She would be as well received as Celestia I think, if she could stop yelling in THE TRADITIONAL CANTERLOT VOICE! xD

That "genocidal maniac" was her sister. Let me rephrase that. She was no longer Luna. Luna was trapped inside this maniac. The maniac did come to being because of Luna's jealousy, but she had to repress all that jealousy for so long with nobody to relate to. Basically, what happened, is she became a heartless, except with her original form still inside. The elements of harmony purified her of any evil that built up within her.

 

As for Discord, maybe she had to free him eventually? Or the spell wouldn't last forever, and he would've gotten free one way or another? As for the beasts, they're usually only a problem in the Everfree Forest. The cows that stampede are sentient, although not to the point of ponies. Although it would still be wrong to keep them locked up.

I wouldn't really count the cows/other animals as "sentient" , I would say "humanlike nature" because they cannot speak, and they have limited thought processes.

 

You could say that man slaves cows too, you know.

 

Anyways-

 

This show- really just a cartoon, has done really alot for the world already, I mean, look how gentrified the whole community is. Who knew a community of people who like cartoon ponies could be so warmhearted and tolerant .

 

Oh it would be but a dream to have that happen, but based on my beliefs the second coming of christ wlll do just that

Ponies are also rather racist, see their constant jokes about mules and the fact that Rarity talks about Gilda like she's an animal(Gryphons are so rare). There's also the Diamond Dogs who are apparently stuck mining gems and in poverty since ponies don;t care about them.  

 

And I really hate to bust your bubble, but trust me, this fandom isn't all fun and games. There's quite a lot of infighting and love and tolerance gets tossed out the window so often, no one uses it anymore. Our fandom is very large, true, but it's not as nice as you think. One person defaced a bronze statue so it looked like RD and people praised this act of vandalism

I think the darkness already took hold before she finished her outward transformation. Regardless, 1000 years is enough punishment, especially considering that that wasn't even Luna in control at the time. You could be right about Discord. Ultimately though, I think Celestia had faith in the mane 6 to reform him. And Discord never did anything that evil, just cause chaos. He's a god of chaos, that's what he does. But they taught him how to use his powers for good. Also, being a god, he was incapable of being destroyed. Rather than constantly having to seal him again and again, she did the next best thing and reformed him so that he wouldn't cause trouble anymore.

 

As for the cows, I think the cows and ponies have a mutual benefit relationship. The ponies milk the cows, while the cows allow them to keep the milk they get. Fluttershy has a zoo in her backyard, but the animals there don't look unhappy. Keep in mind that this is a cartoon. If there was a real Equestria, things could be a lot different.

Discord is a spirit, not a god. We don't know if he's unkillable or not. In any case, he'd the spirit of "discord" not chaos. Discord(the word) refers to breaking friendships apart and causing strife, ergo, evil. There's also him brainwashing people and causing property damage.  

 

Still, the cows get penned up and the end of the day, barked at by dogs, and lassoed. The animals in Fluttery's yard are free to go as they please, she doesn't keep them caged up

RD only said that because gryphons act like complete assholes, you saw how gilda acted didn't you? Gryphons eat ponies

 

What constant jokes about mules? The only mule i've seen was doodle donkey, and pinkie never made fun of him, she wanted to be his friend.

 

I never saw the cows being caged, I only saw them run in herds that have to be kept together by someone else, They probably aren't that bright

Gryphons are carnivores, its most likely they do eat ponies, Rarity doesn't like dirty things, you know rarity, why would she like a dirty mule? Man make jokes about mules as well, and I'm pretty sure the mules aren't sentient. In this case the "master race" would be ponies instead of humans, I wouldn't say it would be "racist". It's not racist to make jokes about monkeys now is it?

Equetria isn't dangerous, celestia has more than enough beasts imprisoned in the underworld. Discord was forgiven and reformed, and Luna was resentful for her foolish actions as she knew very well that forever night would cause equestria to freeze over.

Some monkeys have been shown to understand us with sign language, you know. MLP is based off of ancient Greek and Roman mythology, RD made fun of her once she was mean.... It seems pretty much like all the animals in equestria are sentient in some way. Making fun of another species of animal is not "racist" mules aren't ponies, they go along the lines of a donkey, (a mule is an offspring of a donkey and a horse, with more donkey chromosomes, and a hinny is the same with more horse chromosones)

Those are apes, not monkeys. Second of all, those apes required years of education and once they were at that level, they are rare and not a typical ape. The mules and cows in Equestria are not rare, they're the same as ponies intelligence wise.

 

I was referring to Rarity's comment about gryphons being rare. The way it was phrased is like calling a black person rare.  

 

Fine, it's specist. The point, is they make other species the butt of their jokes, imprison them, and hunt them down like dogs if they try to escape

To be fair, he's an master of chaos, she could have put him on the moon and he'll have just escaped and teleport back in. If anything she just put him somewhere where if he did get out she could get the elements on him.
