Anywhere but Amazon. mlp-pbleh.png.87dd94167e6a09de1d733fa0ccdc6acb.png

I see what you mean, Amazon has its own share of problems people reported about like faulty or fake SD cards which Amazon staff don't even bother to check up on, but in some cases buying directly from company that makes them can be expensive, sometimes several times more, inflation does not help this either. Then there's the lousy quality control on other electronics which as customer reviews state, often fail before their warranty period is even expired. I've already had a headphone amplifier fail on me which I purchased from Amazon some time ago, the Sabaj a10d. So I am more cautious about electronics I buy from there, and there are better places to get headphone amps from.

Oh boy, I'll keep it brief as multiple essays could be written about Amazon.

The multitidues of workplace abuses and violation of worker rights, it's a megacorp which is strangulating smaller businesses (been a pain in the ass trying to find stuff in physical stores only to find out they've adopted an 'Amazon model' and don't supply most things in stores anymore) it's a privacy nightmare with the surveillance stuff they sell. All this kind of pleasant stuff.

This delves into politics so I'll leave it at around that.

Sis want to sell her dolls on a worthy-trust online platform

I'm busying to get her an international bank account. She doesn't understand English, not too much

Hmm I'd suggest Ebay for selling something like that. mlp-tponder.png.543768865835ac92ba7417ba272b11b5.png

Amazon is a useful place to get stuff from, you just got to be aware of the gotchas and other disadvantages of it to make an informed purchase decision on there.

Generally speaking, good place to get music CD's from, and movie bluray discs. Physical copies I had mostly a good experience with them on and I can recommend them as long as you buy new or used like new. Eventually I will be getting a Bishoujo statue of Princess Luna from them, unfortunately will have to pay £200 for, which is far higher than the typical action figure set for My Little Pony. However as long as the statues don't bend on their stands, and are not damaged, it's worth it I suppose, being a Princess Luna fan why would I complain? a figurine of a fictional character I like sitting on my shelf collecting dust for who knows how many years, worth the one time purchase.

I don't understand why the material at the base isn't metal though, call it a minor nitpick but I think a base made from stainless steel would've been more sturdy for an action figure like that. PVC is not a good material to make stands out of, as that was problem number one, it can still be bent or broken, but it takes more abuse for it to get to that point.

Handmade woven plushies, something like that, that's her main business, by her own hands. Ebay, huh? I know nothing about these things

How do you pay the bills online?:izzy-oooh:

Huh, handmade? Maybe a site like Etsy would be better fit for something like that, I've heard Etsy has been a pain to artists/shops on its platform recently (not looked into it yet tbh) but I'd recommend it as a lot of people into alternative fashion etc use it to shop. It's my go-to site for handcrafted stuff, patches, etc.

Then, what's with the Paypal thing, I believe those bank accounts of the region where I live does not support paypal, which means I have to sign up a convenient and safe bank account.....

My stupid horse head explodes!:derpy-dash:

Does the Steam game store support Paypal payment? Or the option just doesn't pop up because of my region?:rainbowhuh:

If it's handmade I also suggest Etsy then as @Raskolnikov mentioned.

Etsy I believe may not need a Paypal to sell on? mlp-dponder.png.8bd8414fa492f95b0b719f9203c42acb.png

I like this pink Unicorn sight on this weapon in Black Ops II, it's a sight on this gun I wanted to show people as it does look really nice.

On an unrelated note, I told a friend I was going over to Linux on future PC builds.

When I attempted to take a screenshot in Windows gamebar, for some stupid reason the magnifier app came up and caused me to go down as I was not able to turn it off in time. That incompetence in Windows operating systems is unacceptable. Why would anyone want the magnifier app when they are playing a video game in full screen? Microsoft have destroyed any chances of me upgrading to Windows 12 in future. Windows Gamebar would have been useful if it actually did what it was supposed to when commanded to by a user, but sometimes it does not, and sometimes it forces the game to self minimize as well which is another glitch I'm not fond of. Maybe advocating for an employee who coded this thing to be fired was harsh, but I was not happy at the time. :facehoof:

today i thought i opened about 13 pages in google chrome search engine and it's been a long time since i opened so many web pages. has anyone else opened many web pages?

I can get up to 20 or 40 under certain circumstances. That's not common, but it happens. Usually I have five or seven of them open.

Steam is a good app, I don't know if they support Paypal, I use a card for my account on there. Steam is a reliable place to get our games though, with Steam guard you can add a layer of protection if you're worried about tampering. Just don't use a phone number, I found out the hard way that phone numbers are a bad way to secure accounts as with a deactivated SIM, which is possible if you have not used your SIM in 90 days, you can lose your phone number, and if you fail to get it back, you're out of luck, no one will help you recover your lost account.

Right now I am faced with the choice of forgoing compatibility with certain PC games when I move over to Linux on my gaming PC. We can blame Microsoft's monopoly on the software market for that one. Game developers will support which ever OS is most popular, but popular =/= good. Most people go with Windows for convenience mostly, but there is a noticeable decline in the quality of their recent operating systems that has made people like me want to get away from it.

Apparently, the site's default profile pic for users isn't working anymore? All users who haven't chosen a image to use as profile pic aren't featuring the generic blank pony as their profile pic anymore, but the broken image icon. Or it's only happening with me?

I assumed it was an issue with my browser, but if it's happening with other users it's a server problem, it's a minor issue though. I tried fixing it by deleting temporary files, clearing image cache, nothing helped, definitely not an issue from my end. At least everyone who does have a profile picture, it is working for them just fine.

After the therapy session on the 18th, I will install Ubuntu on my gaming PC. With my short fuse and all, I want to eliminate one source of stress so I don't comment about it here with people. I've decided that already, so you won't have to hear about it any longer. I'm not saying Linux does not have its own share of issues but at least those OS's are free of charge, it's less of an issue when problems start then and at least it doesn't come loaded with unnecessary bloatware that Windows 11 does. So you want positivity, I am telling you I am trying, take it for what you will, but I know well enough now that I am not going to be able to please everyone.

Hey, this is positive! Remember, it's not about pleasing us, but removing sources of stress for you. Thank you for sharing this with us, and thank you for trying!

So I guess every ToonTown spin off that isn’t Rewritten is basically doomed to fail either due to bad design, drama, or both. How does this keep happening? It’s a children’s MMO franchise from 2003 people should not be running their development teams like they’re Ubisoft or Blizzard circa 2016.
