I blame gender stereotypes for that, some males identify as effeminate or trans, and it is entirely possible for men or boys to exhibit traditionally feminine behavior but otherwise not be trans, does not always mean they're gay, either. In any case, we live in a world where some men get picked on for wearing a dress, if they watch My Little Pony or Powerpuff Girls, same thing can happen.

A friend of mine said you always get mistaken for a girl on the Internet because of the way you talk.
However I don't think people could tell my gender from how I talk...

I had to put "Male" in the gender section on MLP Forums since users kept thinking I was a girl because of my avatars, and probably the name "Sparklefan" as

well, and it still happens to me, sometimes. 

I think it's funny but sometimes it can be annoying to have to correct someone after having to edit my profile so users wouldn't make assumptions and

yet the same mistake still keeps happening. 😐
