Harmony And Rarity 195 April 9, 2014 Share April 9, 2014 Hello all. I left the fandom in december. Of course I came back after a bunch of dreams about the show. And the dreams reminded me about how amazing the fandom and the show is. The only real reason why I left the fandom is because. It made me more sad, I loved the show and I never wanted it to end. But the realization of the fact how the show might end, or that I might never get to live in Equestria if I die made me even more sad. Not suicidal, just sad. Besides, I didn't even end up leaving. I wanted to wait until season 4 ended. So that I could watch all the episodes in once! :3. Have you all experienced this feeling before? Thank you all for never stopping, for loving this show no matter what happens. /) 1 Check Me Out If You Want To! :
facemelt91 62 April 9, 2014 Share April 9, 2014 (edited) Let me just try to understand this. You left because you are worried the show is going to end and you want to live in Equestria and the fact that this isn't possible makes you sad? Don't worry about the show ending - they confirmed earlier this year that they are expecting it to run for another 5 seasons at least. It's making Hasbro money and growing more and more popular every year - why the hell would they want it to end? The only thing that might cause it to end is if Hasbro starts to meddle with things too much and they fire all the writers and get cheaper ones - but the way that things are already going, I doubt that will happen. FIM is the best thing that has ever happened for Hasbro. They'd be stupid to change or get rid of it. As for living in Equestria... I think that's something we ALL want to do as fans, but we can't unfortunately. It's a fictional place. Maybe you should try writing a fanfic? or drawing some fan art? It might help bring you closer to the show. Edited April 9, 2014 by facemelt91

facemelt91 62 April 9, 2014 Share April 9, 2014 I didn't read the description because any reason to leave this fandom is bad How does one even leave a fandom? You stop being a fan of something when you stop finding it enjoyable. I guess if you no longer found the show enjoyable, that would be a good reason to leave? Ribbonfree 2,384 April 9, 2014 Share April 9, 2014 Well if you feel you gotta go then you gotta go, it's that simple. Might not be the best reason I've ever seen, but it's a personal thing and I can't be one to judge that.
The Dandy 73 April 9, 2014 Share April 9, 2014 The question is invalid as you stated "I didn't even end up leaving". So if you have an actual question, feel free to ask. 1 Everyone wants happiness, no one wants pain, but you can't have a rainbow, without a little rain. Shenron00 366 April 9, 2014 Share April 9, 2014 The show won't be ending for quite a while now. As for living in Equestria, that's what I would want to do if I go to Heaven (actually, I want to be in the DBZ universe, but MLP is my second choice). If you're not Christian, then I can't give much advice sadly. Yo! I'm Shenron00, but you can call me “Shen” if you want! Thanks to WheatleyCore for the sig! BTW, yes, I do realize that's Carnage and not Shenron.
Shanks 10,817 April 9, 2014 Share April 9, 2014 Your reason while it is not the best isn't necessarily the worst either, the fact that you are so distressed over the possibility of the show ending that you felt you couldn't enjoy something and had to leave does concern me. It says to me that this show and fandom was at some point your entire life or rather than you wanted it to be your entire life and while I don't know what your circumstances are in life I can in a sense understand where you are coming from by wanting something better than what you have as life can be very depressing and soul crushing at times but to have one interest consume your thoughts to such an extent isn't healthy and will only bring you pain and dissapointment. I like this show and like the fandom despite a couple of things that annoy me that are present in most fandoms as well as a few unique things, but while it will be a while when this show ends it eventually will so isn't that all the more reason to enjoy it while it is here? Besides even after the show ends there is still G5 which for all we know might actually be just as good but even if the worst happens and it sucks that still dosen't mean ponies should be all there is to life even as awesome as they are. I looked at your profile and noticed you are 13, you are still very young and there are a lot of new experiences that can happen in your life that can enjoy if you are willing to open your mind to them. I and most of us here never expected to be into a show about cartoon ponies but we opened our minds and gave it a chance. Life is full of change and that can scary, but sometimes change can be good as well. 4 Rarity Get's Cockroaches

FoxyCryptid 4,330 April 9, 2014 Share April 9, 2014 (edited) It's understandable. I've honestly had the same thought myself of being tempted to distance myself from things I truly love so it won't hurt me as bad when it ends. Adachi 772 April 9, 2014 Share April 9, 2014 (edited) Disclaimer: I am about to explain complicated psychic/spiritual forces, from a simpleton's perspective. Bear with me, and take everything with a grain of salt. You could always make a wonderland/dreamscape and base it on Equestria, or maybe start with something simpler, like Ponyville. Then fill it with servitors based on characters from the show. You could also make a tulpa and base him/her off a character from the show. But you have to keep in mind, that your tulpa will most likely deviate, and you have to make sure that however your tulpa deviates, you'll still appreciate him/her just as much. Because a tulpa is a lifelong friend/guide, not to be used just for fantasy fulfillment/escapism. But your tulpa will most likely stay at least partially in pony form, if that's what you really desire, and there are many hosts who didn't expect pony tulpae, but their tulpae ended up taking pony form anyway, because they subconsciously liked ponies, or a loved one likes ponies. In the end, it's ultimately up to you. Even if you don't consciously make your tulpa into a pony, he/she will most likely take pony form anyways, because your subconscious desires it, and if they do deviate, it's always some change that you'll find you like even better than the original anyway. Edit: You might want to wait 2-3 years, until you're around 16 though. Because younger people usually don't have the mental stability to fully determine what they want, especially since they have to go through puberty, which not only changes sex drive, but also changes other wants/desires. So what you want now, might not be what you want when you're 16. And these are powerful psychic forces at work, so you'll want to take caution. And if you do manage to create a tulpa, don't tell your parents unless they're extremely open minded, otherwise, they could take you to see a psychiatrist because they might think there's something wrong with you. Oblivion 20,282 April 10, 2014 Share April 10, 2014 Yea man, what other people have said!^^^^^^ I am ashamed of what I would do for a pony bar...Wait..wut??? Nvm, starting to get late for me so I tend to get a little random about this time, ANYWAY, you are doing fine, plus I think the truth of the matter is that most bronies would love to go to Equestria! BastementSparkle 20,335 April 10, 2014 Share April 10, 2014 It's a little bit silly. Everything ends eventually, that's just life, enjoy it while it lasts. When I become a fan of something I stick to it like glue. I'll probably still be a fan decades after the show ends, maybe not as obsessive about it as I am now, but still a fan. Even once it's over you can rewatch the old episodes. As for the equestrian afterlife idea. I'll admit that this is a pretty appealing thought. I'm agnostic myself, and I'm doubtful that such a thing would exist. But if I do wake up in equestrian after I die, I certainly won't complain. Twilight is best pony. Why hello MLPForums! Brony is the term associated with liking this show and nothing more. Any other definition goes away. 1 OCs Thorough list of all of them here. GenderIsAnIllusion 2,178 April 10, 2014 Share April 10, 2014 Everything ends, and usually for the better..... In fact here's a short list of things that need to end before they get anymore stupidly castrated... Power Ranger (they into their umpteenth season, and still doing the same exact thing, only dumber) Digimon (Makes no sense anymore. Should have stopped at season 4.) Yugioh ( They ran out of original plot lines in GX... Plus the dubbed is just TERRABLE) And yes MLP FIM will end.... And hopefully on a dignified note, unlike The Never Ending Story...... Talk about a let down of a final movie.... I'd rather cut my testicles off than watch that again..... Point is, ending is not nessasarily a bad thing. And FIM ending will make way for another gen, and another gen of bronies to support it!!! My peep is against bullying.... Are you? http://mlpforums.com/topic/117034-suggestion-anti-bullying-campaign/

I'd rather cut my testicles off than watch that again..... Nothing will ever go into hibernation as painfully as the Highlander franchise did with "The Source"(I say hibernation instead of end because there's plans for a re-boot/remake of the first movie in pre-production hell with names already attached to it) "You know, I don't know who or what you are Methos, and I know you don't want to hear this, but you did teach me something.
