gaming Minecraft vs. Roblox vs. Terraria

I'm going to have to be neutral on this post.

You can't really compare games like this because these ones listed are much different from each other.

I've played a lot of Roblox and Minecraft (but not Terraria) and they both have their ups and downs.

 

But Roblox has a huge down to it: The community is just.. awful.

I prefer Minecraft over Terraria and Roblox. I tried Roblox once, yeah it was a terrible experience. Never tried Terraria so I place it under Minecraft. 

• Minecraft is #1 because of the mods!
• Terarri is #2 because Roblox is just.... lego 3D
• Roblox is #3: see #2.

Terraria's okay, but I tend to invest a lot of time in Minecraft. It's incredibly fun and I'll sometimes play for hours just caving or exploring. Never played Roblox. Looks kind of boring.

Minecraft is the most creative of all. It has an amazing modding community, and even a few crazy vanilla guys. Check out SethBling's channel. One of the modpacks I like the most is Agrarian Skies. Basically a modded skyblock in which you have to complete quests. It's pretty fun. Another mod that I also really like is TerraFirmaCraft, which allows for a real survival experience, like working from the Stone Age to the Iron Age from basically nothing.

 

Terraria is also very fun. Just don't play it alone. Play it with a friend. The exploration aspects, the insane weapons, the bosses, the events, everything makes for a fun and never-tiring gameplay.

 

Roblox sucks, from that I can read on this thread. It doesn't look too good from the screenshots either. :/

I've never had the adventure of playing Terraria, though it sounds nice.

I was on roblox about three years ago. Wasn't really "long, long ago, when I was a little girl...." so I remember how stupid the community was. I will now tell you about the citizens of Robloxland. They're all about 10 years old, and at that age most people on that site feel like either the crème de la crème or...the crème de la crème. Except for the second option they are slightly (but not really) sneaky about it.

See, the first group think that everyone in a game should listen to them, and that was just annoying. The second group are people who are pretending (italicsboldunderline for important- please don't get offended!) to have issues, like ADHD and Anorexia. These people are even worse than the first- they say that they have Anorexia, ADHD, Bulemia(spelling maybe?), and ADD all at once. They make up some story about how terrible their day was that involves all of their "sicknesses".  And then they expect sympathy. If they don't get it, they start ranting about how everyone there hates them and how their uncle own Roblox and he will ban all of them for "roodness to me".

Ugh, I hate people who pretend to do this so much because things like Anorexia are serious and it trivializes people who really do have issues like that! Attention seekers are never good, but this kind is the worst. Anyway, my mini-rant about stupid roblox is over now. 

Edit: Oh yeah! Got caught up in my rant! Hehe. I love Minecraft! Awesome game. Can't forget that.

I've been playing Roblox since I was a kid. I'm 19 now, and I'm still on it, though I don't play as many games as I used to, I'm a lot more into coding. I stay away from the community as much as possible, cause it's just ridiculous. However I really do like the studio platform, where you can create some really complex and intense games for roblox, which has become a hobby for me. 

 

I've tried Minecraft, and I like it, but I just prefer Roblox over minecraft, and I've never tried Terraria.

Out of the three, I have played Minecraft for the longest time by far... But in terms of my favourite now? I'd have to go with Terraria. I just feel that it's got so much more in it. More Items, more monsters, more objectives, more crafting. I know the world isn't infinite and it's 2D, but I don't really like Minecraft as much anymore. I miss the days of early Beta, when it was simpler and I actually was able to keep up to date with updates that were actually good... In my opinion. 

 

Roblox.... I played for like a couple hours years ago. Didn't really get into it.
