Sole growled in annoyance as she teleported away after dodging his attack "a cat bird? Your a glorified painted donkey!" He retorted angrily, as her sword cut into his wing. But instead of letting the attack follow through, he grabbed the sword by the blade in mid swing and Yanked it from her mouth, before headbutting her... Hard

For a second everything went dark...not sure what happened, she remembered teleporting, trying to cut his feathers so he couldn't fly away...then...dark.

 

BAM!

 

She woke up abruptly, laid on her side with a large red bump on the side of her head where he had countered her. "He's too fast..." she whispered to herself, then slowly rose to her hooves. She tried to go for her sword again, but realized it was gone... "No...no!" She struggled to keep her balance but the ground and trees were spinning around her. Her head and horn pounded like the Ponyville train was running it over. Her only pinpoint vision, was to Wonder's body still roughed up from the gryphon's attack. She fluttered to him and kept between the two once more.

 

"I won't let you hurt any...innocent...souls..." she snorted and pawed the ground, "not while I'm still breathing!" She lowered her horn, it reacting to her protective instincts...and immideatly a thick magic shield formed in front of her. "Alright magic of peace...let's show him what we can do!" She charged him again the sheild covering her whole body, thick as metal.

Tempest flew over the forest, when he noticed Sole and Lightning fighting. He dove straight down, and slammed into the ground between the two ponies, landing on his hooves and creating a mild dust cloud in the process. The bat pony's aura then receded to where it outlined Tempest's body. He then stretched slightly, and smiled darkly. "Well, this is interesting." He simply stated.

Sole stopped his advancement on the helpless ponies as another opponent suddenly cut in. With a chuckle, sole glared "well, if it isn't the Aura pony come to play." He said sarcastically, before sighing "I'll deal with you later, but right now..." He said, before kicking him in the side and knocking him away "WAIT YOUR TURN!" He growled

Her eyes went wide...shock and dismayed he'd attack another pony without fair warning...Watching Tempest get thrown to the side like he were nothing...A deep hidden rage began to built up inside her...one that she only knew of when her father got angry....The last time she felt this rage...it was back when she faced the possessed mind of Skylar...the Shadow of King Sombra.

 

"You...BASTARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!" A deep rummbling voice roared out of her little body. Suddenly her horn exploded with a magical surge or dark rainbow, and formed into solid beam, shooting forth and striking the gryphon right in the face, the force sent him flying back along with her being thrown back from her own magical force of anger. She slammed against a tree, her eyes narrowed and teeth out grinding as she held the beam for as long as possible. "YOU EVIL BASTARD!!! WHAT THE FLYING HELL OF EQUESTRIA HE EVER DO TO YOU!!!??? YOU SPINELESS ROACH!!!" She didn't know what she was saying anymore...the anger took over.

Sole was shocked as the blast hit him in the face and sent him flying back through several trees and crashing into the ground like a rocket. After a moment, he slowly stood, his face was bleeding and singed, but he seemed otherwise unharmed. "You... All of you... Must die." He mumbled, before roaring "I'LL DESTROY EVERY LAST ONE OF YOU!" He yelled in a rage, before flying as fast as he could toward them he was going to crash into her at full speed...

Wonder recuperated from the attack. 'Damn, he's a little stronger than I thought." Wonder thought, spitting onto the ground. Wonders aura flashed green as a tree actually slid from where it stood, to stop in between Lightning and Sole, and suddenly turned to stone, becoming an incredibly strong pillar.

Thunder came in to late. He got to see tempest get kicked to the side, so he went next to tempest "just, just rest. This'll be over soon then we can kill sombra, death has been asking non stop for his soul" he stated before walking out onto the open, where everyone could see him. And waited for sole to either stop, or hit the tree.

Just before he collided with the stone tree he jerked to a sudden stop and turned to look at his rival "you... Your the one I need to defeat." He said, rage and hatred seething. His S mark began to glow faintly as he tuned and charged at thunder instead, punching him hard in the gut and then kicking him in the head

Thunder took the hits full on, in the kick to his head, he did a front flip and locked his back hooves onto his neck, and used his wings to provide the momentive to do a backflip, making sole hit the ground head first. Then he released the lock and proved a roundhouse kick to his stomach, sending him into a tree, crashing right through it and into another. And just then he pulled out a picture of stone, she was standing on a rock with a smile on trying to look natural for the picture sole took. Right on there honeymoon, stone was a purple unicorn with a black mane and green eyes. Hopefully this would knock some sense into sole "here, take a look at this..." He said blood dripping from his lips.

Her rage still flowing, and her eyes no more were the innocent color of cyan, but instead glowing with magical rage...still finding her sanity to control some of it, she shouted to Tempest, Wonder and especially Thunder:

 

"HIS MAGIC HAS BEEN NEUTRALIZED!!!! STOP HIM NOW!" She snorted and losing control once more, the surge of raging alicorn magic, charged at the down Sole just as Thunder knocked him against a tree... But then she spotted the photo of the unicorn he was holding up to the gryphon, he was in it as well..."Married couple...?" She skidded to a stop next to Thunder...her eyes returned to normal, making her clench her head..."Gah...She's...your mare...? Just like I am to my...husband..." Her eyes went of guilt then staring at the battered gryphon...she felt ashamed to look at him, turned and went to stand next to Tempest knowing Wonder and Thunder had everything under control now.

Sole coughed up some blood and stood once more, but froze as he glimpsed at the picture. " p-put that thing away... There's no place for love or kindness on the battlefield. You think you can just flash me a picture and everything will be all peachy? I already told you, I'm nothing but a heartless killer... I don't care." He said, gritting his teeth, before lashing forward and punching Thunder again and again "you hear me?! I don't care about anyone anymore!!" He roared, confused, enraged and conflicted as he attacked his former friend

Wonder then realizes that his aura has changed. It's now green, and controls nature, as opposed to his old orange one, attributed to his hatred and controlled fire and smoke. He grinned a smart ass grin and flapped one of his wings, sending a silver line of wind, sharp as razors at Sole. "Hey, Glorified Chicken. I sent that stone, so maybe you should attack me instead."

Tempest stood, and felt his anger rise at Sole's words. "Don't give me that garbage." He growled, as he fired multiple aura spheres at the griffon. "The Sole I knew would never say that, and he would never kill." The bat pony's eyes then dialated. "What is going on?" He thought to himself, as the aura enshrouded his body in a dark cloud.

Sole ignored all of the attacks as they slashed him and burned him, he simply kept thrashing away at a Thunder "RRRRRRAAAAAAAAHHHH! I WON'T GIVE UUUP!" He roared angrily "I won't let you defeat me. Not again..." He said quietly, his attacks getting slower and weaker. Nothing made sense, he couldn't even focus anymore. His mind felt torn in half.

"Then surrender on your own terms than, accept defeat on ours!!" Wonder shouted enjoying his newfound power as he sent a second burst of Razor Wind directly at Sole. Then adding a small tornado to the flurry for the best measure possible. "Have you no bravery left you coward!!!"

Fireblaze came flying as he didn’t see the captain of the Bat Pony guards or anyone and heading to Canterlot. “What going on here?” Then he was trying figure out what going on and looking for anyone for answers. *Great Missing the action and no one didn’t call me?*

*Man why King Sombra haven’t call me yet?” Then Darkness sent a message to Sombra. *Master Sombra is there you want me to do since I am Iching for a fight with the Goody too Shoes Ponies?*

"Stop it! Stop it!" She cried out over the stallions and gryphon, "you'll kill him Wonder! Tempest? LOOK AT HIM," she pointed at the gryphon's obvious wounds, blood dripping from open areas, his beak and sides, "restrain him! He's done! Please just don't kill him...or we're no better them the evil that did this to him! PLEASE!"

 

She flew up to be just above Thunder and Sole. "Sole listen to yourself, I know... I know I don't know what you're going through, but its not worth you life! Is it? Is it so much worth your loved ones, friends?? DONT THROW YOUR LIFE AWAY" She shook her head as the tears were thrown from her face.

"STOP INTERRUPTING HIM" he yelled throwing him off of sole, "throwing insults aren't going to help" he said putting him down "he needs to come back on his own terms, insulting him is only going to feed his rage, NOW STOP BEING CONFOUNDED IDIOTS AND LISTEN" he said getting sole into a head lock. He then hushed his voice "listen, you still love her, I can see it. And what sombra has in store for you aint going to help. He's going to use you and then throw you away like a worthless piece of trash, don't forget you have a kid too, what is he going to think about this huh?" He said holding sole down

Sole didn't even struggle as the others argued, or even as Thunder put him into a headlock. "I don't... Need your pity..." He mumbled, blood dripping from his mouth, as he reached up and gripped his arm "even if I wanted to stop, there's no going back. I've attempted assassination on a princess, and almost destroyed the crystal empire. Even if I stop now, I'll be executed or locked away forever." He grunted, gripping Thunder's arm tighter "I've already crossed the line..." He said quietly

Wonder stopped his onslaught. He never was going to kill him, his attacks were just made to tire him. Wonder really didn't care anymore. "And you called him strong?" He muttered under his breath as he started to walk from the scene, believing that he was no longer needed here. He was headed back for the Crystal Empire. It was going to need as many bodies as could sign up, especially without Cadance or Shining Armor.

"It's never too late to do what is right Sole! Think about your family, think about your child! Do you really want to be remembered as the 'minion' of King Sombra who perished for something you didn't believe in?" She watched as Wonder headed off back to the Empire...sighed realizing this team really needed to work together if they were ever gonna get anywhere. "I'll..." she turned back to Thunder, "I'll let you talk to him...it's not my place, sorry..."

 

She fluttered down to the ground and decided to follow Wonder back, but not before stopping to turn to Tempest. "Sir..? What do we do now?"

Tempest's aura dispersed and he glanced at Lightning. "You should head back to the Crystal empire." He said. "Help them in any way you can." The bat pony then glanced at Sole. "As for you, there is still a chance to redeem yourself."

 

Sombra smirked, as he stood on the main balcony of the crystal palace. "It's good to be home." He said, laughing slightly.

Wonder did something very simple. The damage to the city was phenomenal, and he saw many Crystal Ponies working together to repair the damages. Wonder found a large block of cement and picked it up. He flapped his way up and placed it in a spot where it fit, and another pony put in the filling. He repeated the process with several other blocks, almost rebuilding a whole floor of the building.

She nodded to him in agreement and flew up into the air and proceeded to teleport all the way back to the Empire. As she arrived on scene...her mouth was agaped at the sight of the damage as an army of evil was storming its way in. She could see Wonder attempt to build up on blockades but the army was still pushing through... But something dark and familiar caught her eye, standing on the castle's balcony not more then several yards from her...

 

She slowly turned, her body not wanting to but her eyes were a must...There in the distance...was the villian himself...the notorious King Sombra...She aside from her wings she froze in terror...Horrific flashbacks of the dreaded battles against his former shadow came flooding back all over again..."No....no...no...it cannot be true..."
