Cherry smiled, "My talent would be uprising, a thirst for adventure and bringing the joy of an interesting life style to those who lack it. I got my cutie mark after years and years of adventuring in the Everfree Forest. My calling is the call of danger." She grinned, "What about you miss Golden Flames? What talents do you have?"@,

"I can use two types of flames. Gold flames and Silver flames. I discovered I could use them when I accidentally disintegrated my armor. When I tried to repair it, I used silver flames instead of the gold from before. The silver flames repaired my armor without a burn mark or scratch.

 

"It was as if it had just come off the factory line." Golden paused her speaking to breathe for a bit. When one of the other followers came up to them and told about Sombra planning to take over the Crystal Emoire, she nodded.

 

"Speaking of which, I'll give you a spare set of armor. It should fit you comfortably. Follow me." Golden said to Cherry. She turned around and began to lead Cherry to where she kept her armor.

[Lightning Bliss 1,674]

The Princesses, Luna and Celestia seemed intently focused on their conversation that she felt awkward and a bit embrassed to have showed up at such a serious time. But she knew the best thing to do was wait and take a seat in front of them as they talked.

 

She levitated the scroll out of her saddle back again to read it over, taking in its contents once more to make sure she didn't miss anything. The mentioning of King Sombra...his dark shadow, made the flash backs come back to her all to well, with her battle against her close friend and now linked brother Skylar. She shivered....the memories coming all to fast...

The evil Shadow within Skylar's body...glared down the ponies. He hungrily licked his lips and emphasized his fangs by touching them with the tip of his tongue

 

So long… I have waited for this moment…finally I have returned… And what glory to behold that I have you ponies to thank for my rebirth! He looks down at his hooves and examines his new armor, Hmm… not as good as my orginal body, this one is too slim for my liking…but…he darted an evil green eye and growled his attention focused lustfully at Callette who was being held by Nights Lights, Lightning Bliss's husband,  I think it has what counts…Wouldn't you agree my little mare slave? He took a step closer to Callette in enticement

 

STAY AWAY FROM HER! Lightning Bliss shook her head and snorted…slowly rising to her hooves Your…fight is with…me…you filthy evil…

 

He stopped and turned to see the new alicorn rising to challenge him, a mocking grin sprayed across his face, Ah…a heroine… Forgive me Princess Lightning Bliss, he bowed to her in a sarcastic motion, I had forgotten you were even here. Though I should pay my respects to the new Princess of Equestria… he turned towards her, grinning like a predator coming to his prey.

 

YOU TOUCH HER AND YOU- Night Lights placed Callette gently on the ice and started galloping towards the Shadow

 

STAND BACK YOU FOOL , sudden a burst of black lightning scorched the ice behind him, cracking the ice just in front of Night Lights, Puny insect of a dragon…Choosing to be a pony so you don't harm this vessel I possess...Plah... Still, you'd make a fine guard dog for my new castle… but it appears you need some… he turns to Blissy then, his eyes hungry with lust, breaking…Yes…breaking your spirit, so you'll be seduced to my every beckoning call…

 

Her tears flowed as she struggled to her hooves…She felt horribly weak and different….knowing it must be true that Skylar…her brother…was dead… A part of her soul was missing…gone…disappeared…she felt lost and incomplete…and the Shadow was loving it

 

You monster…finally she rose to her feet, holding her stance firmly but her legs buckled as she slowly fought to regain what strength she had left, I'll… I'll…kill you…for what you did to our Skylar.

 

Yes that's right good… his lips curled into a rigourous smile, seeming to get turned on by her threats, revenge, a thirst for blood and death… you're on the right path to joining me at my side.

 

SHUT UP!!! She darted into the air suddenly and unleashed a violent fire of magical rage at the former Skylar. Unlike her usual rainbow powers though…it came out as green and purple instead…a dark evil rainbow rather then her joyful aura. She had lost control...her magic was no longer following its rightful path...

 

The Shadow laughed as he dodged her attack, taking into the air with relative easy, dodging every hateful ribbon of magic she shot at him. The sky grew dark as the alicorn continued to fire savagely at the Shadow, missing helplessly but refused to give way. Her anger growing with every miss, while he seemed to grow stronger from her hatred and desperation.

A tear trickled down her cheek, one of fear...the fear of going down that hateful path that the spirit of King Sombra encouraged her to do...but it was she that followed through with it...That battle had long since been over thanks to the power of their friendships she had with her friends...but now...It looked like she was going to have to be involved with the King again... only this time, it was for real...

Cherry grinned, new friend and new armor in one day! Cool! She trotted down the halls following Golden Flames and tipping her imaginary hat to anypony she passed. The less friendly of the circle members scowled at her lack of formality. The friendlier waved back and smiled. Some of the more timid simply stared, unbelieving that such a happy disposition in these halls were even allowed. "Thank you so much for this by the way." she said as the two arrived@, at a large door with the word Armory carved in glittering crystal above it.

Darkness inside of Sombra palace while he was in his own dark world since no one form Sombra group want to talk to him while he was still looking at the picture of Futtershy and Discord while thinking that he really want to go to ponyville and get Futtershy. So he can bring her to the Darkness as Futtercule since he miss her Dark side before and been hearing about Futtershy becoming Futterbat and he smiles that also a good one too. But he was listing to Sombra words while thinking that he need to strike but how.

Luna Flower was walking around King Sombra's hall. She wanted to welcome him back from being gone so long. Luna opened many doors, it took a while but she found King Sombra's throne room, not knowing what to do she just admired the room not knowing if King Sombra was there or not.

Wonder decides to go out and practice his fighting abilities. He walks into the guard outpost, and flashes a badge. The other guards simply nod, and allow him passage. He walks into the courtyard. He soon finds two suitable dummies. He draws his sword and quickly cuts one clean off of its base, he throws his sword into the air. He grabs the cut dummy and smashes the other dummy a couple of times. He throws them onto the ground, catches his blade and does a double impale on them. "Easy enough for targets that can't defend themselves."

 

A large group of guards begins to close on him, each one with a far more demented look in their eyes than the last. He finds himself surrounded. He cracks his neck, readies his blade, and burns with a fierce orange Aura. As the first one charges, he reverses it's momentum throwing him into a small group of guards. His body radiates heat and smoke, cloaking the nearby area. He spins around and hilt whips another one in the head. He makes his way out of the smoke, and the guards are all fighting each other. It dissipates and several of them are unconscious. He hops into the sky just as they figure out that he isn't in the fight. His body turns bright orange and leaves a smoke trail, he hurtles down at them smashing the ground and sending a burst of heat that singes the grass, guards, and himself.

 

He pants heavily, looking around. It looks like something out of an apocalypse story. It was foggy, there were bodies, and part of the courtyard was on fire. He catches his breath, and tries with all his power not to have a heart attack. He walks through a broken part of the fence, and back toward the castle.

Her large ears flickered upward, making her look more like a rabbit almost after hearing a what sounded like an explosion of fire, followed by grunts and snorts of many ponies fighting. Tossing her cape to the side, revealing her entire white extremity, she dropped her saddle bags and ran out the throne room, throwing the doors open with her levitation in mid gallop.

She galloped out towards the court yard, almost running into Wonder, who seemed to be exhausted from a huge effort. Wounder? What has happened are you alright? She looked over his shoulder from where he came from and could see a practice area that was lit on fire, along with several unusal looking pony soldiers that looked nothing like the ones at the castle. What in the name of Equestria is going on??

Wonder looked over at her. "I don't really know how to explain it. Guards with crazy looks came out, they attacked me aaand... They aren't a problem anymore. Look, I'm the kind of stallion that gets his job done, and damn the methods. The less you know the better." He said trailing off with a grim look on his face. He began back for the castle.

She watched him him leave for a second, debating herself whether or not to follow him, but curiousty got the better of her to wanting to see what happened in that practice area. She turned back to where he came and fluttered over to the scene to inspect the guards...It was a vicious if not violent scene...Clearly they instigated this upon themselves...but what saddened her was that they all had to have their lives end this way.

 

Could they been talked into it? A spell? She landed on the now sooted ground and tread lightly through, inspecting their features and armor. It wasn't the typical protection the Canterlot guards wore, she was even sure the Crystal Empire soldiers didn't wear them either... There was an errie scent to the bodies as well, it insulted her nose...like rottening and soggy.

 

Snap! Went a twig behind her near a tree closest to the fence. She turned in surprise to find herself face to face with another guard, similar to the ones Wonder had dispatched...this one seemed to have been hanging back, watching the fighting from afar, or spying... Who are you? What are you doing here? She snorted, trying to hold her stance.

 

The guard said nothing, a demented, vicious grin fell on his face as he drew his blade, pointing it towards her.

 

Hey! What are you doing?? I'm not here to fight... she started to back away slowly. I don't know who you are...or why your attacking our ponies here...but if we can talk this out... My name is Lighting Bliss, I'm a diplomat for the East Gryphon Empire and the Dragons of the No- Suddenly he launched himself at her, swinging his blade for her chest. She reared back to left, the blade missing her chest but making a thin swip across her shoulder. AHHH!!! Panick stricken and adrillien now in full swing, she screamed with terror and leapt to the air, her first instinct was to fly up.

 

The demented stallion seemed to predict this though, he was a trained killer. He leapt into the air, slicing through her primary feathers on her left side, forcing her to crash land behind him as he touched ground. He turned on her then, flipping his blade handle in his mouth to readjust his attack stance. She leaned up against the fence, her wing damaged and her shoulder bleeding...unable to focus on what to do to protect herself...Please... I've not done anything to you...She gazed up into his eyes, searching for mercy, but all there was, was a thrill of the kill. He raised his blade...it seemed to be caught in slow motion as she watched his movement...then in a flash, with her eyes shut, waited for the blade to cut through her skull.

 

Her horn suddenly burst forth as if by instinct, a magical rainbow aura bursted out like a transparent rainbow bubble, encircling itself around her. The blade crashed down before it could hit its soft target, banging against solid magic instead. The assassin pony snorted with annoyance and stabbed his blade again, hitting nothing but magical bubble.

 

Oh gods... she realized that for the moment her own magic was protecting her...but not for long. She took a deep breath...and cried out... SOMEPONY HELP ME!!!!!!!!!

Tempest nodded slightly, and sighed. "I wish it were under better circumstances. Sombra has returned, or at the very least is trying to. I saw Thunder and a few of the others, but not Sole." He said.

 

Cadence galloped into the throne room, and noticed guards on the floor, and turned her rage to Sole. "Leave, now." She said, as her horn glowed.

 

Cdlestia trotted through the halls when she heard a cry for help. She sped up her pace to a gallop, and noticed the guard attacking Lightning Bliss. "Stand down." She said, before firing a beam of magic at the guard. It was only meant to knock him unconcious.

Sole laughed "what? You seriously think I'm scared of you?! Your not even as strong as Luna, let alone celestia. And I've beatan both!" He bragged, as he heard somepony calling out to him. He decided to ignore it for the moment, creating another large orb of chaos magic in his talon "time to die princess!" He growled, before throwing it at her like a baseball

Thunder rolled his eyes with a sigh "I really hate this world..." He mumbled, his wings opened and he moved with such speed, causing him to look like a blur of his original appearance, leaving mirror images of himself. He then appeared in front of cadence, taking the hit of the blast. But instead of exploding (as it usually would) it just entered his body. Thunder absorbed the energy, he stood there, the ground under his hooves started to crack because of the mass thunder had now taken over. "WHOOOOOOAAAAAAA THIS, feels so amazing" he said trying to hold it in, it was now putting a huge strain on his body. With that he shot the chaotic energy back at sole. No way was he going to be able to pull that off again without exploding.

Her insinctual magic bubble evaporated as Celestia came to her aid, in the nick of time too. She sat up and pulled herself to all hooves, wrapping her damaged left wing around her wounded shoulder as she limped over to Celestia for better protection.

 

Princess...she panted not from the pain but from coming down from her fear...I think he was an assassin, many of his comrades were fallen by Wonder earlier...when this one ambushed me... What is going on?

Golden smiled at Cherry. "It's no problem at all." She said. Opening the door to the armory, Golden stepped in and waited for Cherry to walk inside before closing the door. Seeing that the room was darkened, she lit up her horn and all around the walls were sets of armor. Some big, some small, but all of them fit a different pony inside the circle. "I think it's somewhere over here. They all look the same to me." Golden said sheepishly as she looked at some armor that appeared to be the right size for Cherry.

"You are so nice to do this." Cherry gushed, looking at the different styles of armor. Some were in silvers, others were in gold, some had splashes of colors which showed the ranking of the pony wearing the armor. She suspected she wouldn't get anything fancy, as she wasn't trained in the fighting style of the military, nor was she high ranking in any previous fighting job. But she was fantastic with street fighting in general, not that that counted for much. "So what type of armor will I get?" She asked excitedly, "and do I get weapons to? Or do I need training for that? I can handle a sword pretty well." @,

Golden bit her lip as she tried to figure out which one was best for Cherry. She gave a glance to Cherry and then back at the armor. "This, this, this and this is what you'll get for armor. For now." Golden grabbed  a few pieces of armor and levitated them over to her. The armor was coloured like leather but underneath the faux leather, there was actual metal underneath so it would be sort of heavy. "Give this a try. As for weapons, you'll need training for the bigger stuff if you're good with a sword." Golden informed her.

Cherry put on the armor, it was super heaver compared to her silky cloak. But it was pretty cool looking. She found that despite the weight it was pretty easy to move in and she strut about the room feeling super cool as she did. She gave s huge grin and struck a silly pose, "How do I look?" she asked Golden Flame, "Princesses army better watch out when I roll up huh? What kind of armor do you have?"@,

"Pretty good actually. It suits you. Now all you need is a sword and you're good to go for the attack. As for my armor, it's the armor I had when I was part of the Royal Guard. It should beee" Golden dragged the 'be' out until she found what she was looking for. "Right here." She placed the armor pieces on her and walked around a bit, trying to get used to the feeling of having the armor back on again. "It's really nothing special." Golden shrugged.

Luna Flower finally realized that King Sombra isn't in the thorn room so she leaves the room and starts walking around the hallway with nothing to do.

Cherry gazed at the armor of the royal guard, she had to admit it was stunning. She didn't give high dictator Celestia much credit, but the armor was fantastic. "That's gorgeous Golden Flames!" Than something occurred to her, "I don't think I've ever seen any mares on guard before, or at least, not around Celestia. Where were you stationed?" @,

Golden looked at herself and shrugged. "Really? I never seemed to notice. Anyway, I was stationed all around the castle. That;s confusing. I was stationed wherever I needed to be basically. I was one of the few mares there and mares don't really rank high in the Royal Guard." Golden said. "What about you? Did you have a job before the circle?"

Cherry shrugged, and said almost sadly, "Not really, I lived with my,husband in Changeling country. He got the check, I raised my baby. Sometimes I baked Cherry pies that the Changeling Market exported to other places to sell. Got a few coins for that. After they died though I set up base in the Everfree, got some pets now, eat by picking berries and tending to my orchard, hand carve my furniture, go to poker nights with dragons on the weekends. The normal stuff." She shrugged, "I never really worked a day in my life, well, not for substantial money at least." @,

At the mention of her playing poker with dragons, Golden burst out laughing. "Haha. I'm sorry. But playing poker? With dragons!? That's just hilarious! To me anyway." Golden said and continued laughing. She shook her head and levitated one of the swords on the wall to Cherry. "In all seriousness, does this suit you. There are swords on that wall behind you." Golden said seriously.
