Do you ever miss your first days of becoming a brony?

I think miss getting to know the cannons for the

first time and all!  Each show seemed to show something

new and all, and seeing Luna for the first time in her own

ep just hit a note in me!

For me that would be an emphatic no.

For me, I'd say the current days are more exciting than my first days as a brony. Why is that you ask?

1. MLPForums.com - I'm part of the staff at a great community, and have made quite a few friends and acquaintances here.

2. The quality of episodes is better in season 4 than it was in the first season.

3. Rainbow Rocks, the IDW comics, and various other publshed media have really broadened the scope of the world, and provided some excellent addition to the lore.

4. The development of my OCs; nuff said.

I miss my first days of discovering the show, the fandom, and all these awesome fanworks. Now I feel like there's nothing else to discover.

Watching episodes for the first time is.. magical. Yeah. Hopefully I feel the same way when I watch season 5. I miss my first days of becoming a brony, but then again I'm still new to this fandom. I joined about 6 months ago.

...No.

Originally, after I'd succumbed to a 3rd party, and watched the show, I had a problem with being a fan.

I was under the idea, for YEARS, until I'd seen "Unexpected Fans", that adult, male fans were all pedophiles.

I had no interest in being lumped in with such a group.

Thankfully the cloud of ignorance was, eventually, lifted from my eyes. If only we could do the same for the rest of the world. :\

If it weren't for that documentary-ish film, I'd likely not be here today. I only saw it in July of 2014, by dumb luck. :derp:

Yeah a little. Cupcakes, CrookedTress and the other old drama were really fun, but that fanbase stuff kind of washed away and the fanbase wasn't that fun anymore. Also I don't think I like the show as much as I used to either.

I came in the summer of 2011 and it was a blast! But I don't know; I guess I'm growing out of this now, but I'll still see season 5 and hopefully the upcoming non-EG movie; at the very least, just for closure.

Yeah, I guess you could say I miss those days. I remember when I first got into the show, and my friends did too. My friends and I talked about it all the time at school. I also joined this forum in my earlier days, and it was more exciting for me back then. Nowadays I barely come on, and I'll probably stop visiting this site eventually all together. In my early days of being a brony, I had tons of people to talk to about the show. Now, I'm more or less alone.

I like looking forward to new things, and getting a break now and then helps. Still, i can see where you're coming from. I suppose it is a bit nostalgic; so many things iv'e been surprised about, lots and lots of material i could browse at - it's a bit staler now that the initial buzz dropped, but i'm not disappointed or anything. Can't wait for more ponies. :)

Sorta, I too became a brony in early 2011, and I miss that fresh new feeling that came with first entering the fandom. Everything was so new and amazing to me. I don't get that feeling often anymore because enjoying the fandom has just become second nature since I've been a brony for so long.

Well I first got into MLP knowing nothing about the fandom in Dec. '13. I watched the first 2 episodes and didn't care one way or the other for it.

Stuff kept showing on YouTube's sidebar after that and I finally was getting annoyed and clicked on something. I had NO IDEA what I was getting myself into  . I ended up going through 3 years of stuff over like 3 weeks. ^_^ I was caught up to the show by the Rainbow Falls episode.

What I miss was :o:wau: over ALL THE STUFF there was out there for what could have just been a small obscure show on a small obscure network.

MLP is one of the weirdest things I've stumbled on, but in a good way. Looking back, I think it was a good thing I found it early in the year because MLP has improved my mood and 2014 turned out to be a very bad year for me.

  • Aunt broke her ankle.
  • Little cousin got some kidney thing (turned out ok though)
  • Turned 26 (OF COURSE OBAMACARE starts right when I need to worry about it)
  • Another cousin almost got decapitated/paralyzed by a broken garage door at work.
  • My brother has anger and other issues and was evicted from our house.
  • An important manager suddenly quit at my work = more "fun" for me.
  • I got a ticket >_> (I was squealing tires through a turn luckily no points though.)
  • My grandpa died unexpectedly* at 89.

I think MLP may have helped me stay sane last year.

Rainbow Rocks... at least how it could've looked... in a stranger, more interesting dimension

For those who are wondering, Twilight is chewing bubble gum.
