I need help/ a guide

So, for some reason I have suddenly gone to the new theme, and since I can't go back to the old theme because it's gone forever now, I am utterly and completely lost. 
Can someone tell me how I can at least get the recently discussed section back, and possibly topics I've participated in that have been recently discussed. They are absolutely gone, and now I'm totally confused and I can't, well find topics to post in easily. 

Sorry, I was a bit of an old dinosaur by sticking with the old theme, but now it has gotten significantly harder to use the forums and I'm really struggling.

Neither of those things were removed by the new theme, perhaps you accidentally disabled them yourself?

 

Make sure that you haven't excluded recent topics from appearing.

Don't worry, I actually figured it out about an hour or so after I posted this. I did accidently disable it a long time ago.
