Melody was still quivering a bit from being overwhelmed. A tear cascaded down her eye as they went up. She was not afraid of heights because she was an Alicorn, nor close spaces. She was more afraid that because of her continuos nervousness, this stallion wouldn't like her.

Ochre looks over at the elevator doors as they open, thankfully no pony is there, and he guides Melody out. Unsure of what else to do to make her feel comfortable, he drapes a hoof over Melody's shoulders as he guides her down the hall to the group's lounge. "We're almost there Melody. Would you feel more comfortable talking about what you're worried about right now?"

"Uhh..." Stardust said, holding his cards upside down; a look of strong confusion on his face "Is this worth anything?" stardust asked, displaying 2 aces on the table. "Ugh, I'm never gonna get this game" he said, the cards sliding off the table as the train pulled into Las Pegasus station.

Shooting put her sketch pad away before the train pulled up to the station. She watched out the window and looked at the scenery. 'Well, this scenery is nice. Shooting thought.

 

She looked in her bag to make sure everything was there. 'Check, got that, yes, I think everything I absolutely need is in here.' Shooting thought and looked out the window again.

Raze's eyes widened as Stardust laid down 2 aces on the table. "Wow... that's actually a really good hand. Right off the bat too..." He put down a 2 and a king of hearts. "I got a pretty bad one, although I didn't put down any cards on the table for me to make any pairs with, since we're here at the station. You did good for your first time."

 

He grabbed his cards and got up but stopped halfway. "Oh, where are my manners?" He held out a hoof to Stardust and Crystal. "I'm Raze."

When the train came to a stop, Pacific got up and started heading towards the front. "Finally..." He muttered to himself. As he passed by the mare he had been forced to talk to earlier, he tripped on his cloak and landed flat on his face. "Ow... Oh hey, it's you again." He said, getting up.

"Y-y...yes..." Melody said still taking small steps and quivering. Thoughts of when she was bullied were moving through Melody's mind, almost driving her into a crying fit. She swallowed it all down and tried her best to keep going, despite her nervousness.

Ochre Dust leads Melody into the lounge and leads her to the couch where he sits. He pats the couch beside him, offering for her to join him. "Now, go ahead and tell me what you're worried about. Then we can talk about it. Nobody else is here right now, we have plenty of time to work through it."

Shooting looked up. "I'm sure I'm me." She said and got up. Shooting got her things near her. "Well, we're here in Las Pegasus so that's nice..." She said quieter than normal.

 

"Any plans on what your going to do here?" Shooting asked. "Oh, I forgot to ask, what's your name again? I'm Shooting." She introduced.

"I'm Pacific." Pacific said. "And as for what I'm going to be doing here... Well I have no plans yet." He admitted, realizing he hadn't even thought about what he was going to do for the week he was there. "So what are you going to do while you're here?" He asked, trying to get some of the attention away from his lack of plans.

Melody climbed on to the couch and curled but still facing Ohchre. "I just worried that...ponies would...bully and tease me here...that...they won't like me...for who I am." Melody said sniffling, trying her best to hold back the tears. She sort of hugged Ochre unconsciously

"I'll probably draw some simple scenes, relax, and I guess hang around." She said. "Don't worry, I don't really have any big plans at the moment either." She said and sheepishly smiled.

 

Shooting kept walking and stepped off the train. She made sure she had everything real quick.

Pacific followed and said, "well, we've got a week here, no need to have anything big in mind on the first day." He would have preferred to have some sort of plan for his week there, but he hadn't thought about it while he was on the train. He was thankful the mare hadn't asked why he wanted to talk to her, since he didn't have an explanation.

"I thought it was two weeks?" Shooting asked out of uncertainty. She shook her head.

 

"I'll probably just read throughout all the rest of the day!" Shooting laughed. She thought for a moment before asking, "Where are you staying during the week?"

"Maybe it is two weeks, I can't remember for sure." Pacific said, shrugging. "I'm probably just gonna find a hotel somewhere to stay for the time I'm here either way." He told her. Maybe we should share a hotel room... It could save us both some bits. He thought. He knew it was a bad idea, seeing as it put him at a higher risk of being discovered, but at the time he didn't really care.

Ochre reaches over to the young mare and strokes her mane, petting her around the ears. "I won't, and I'm sure the others won't either. This isn't high school. I'm sure whatever jerks bullied you in school are all going to end up in jobs they hate or smartening up." He looks up to see what the lounge has to offer. There's a pool table, a big-screen TV, a massive window offering a view of Las Pegasus, a large kitchen... and the kitchen has a barista machine. "Hey? Do you want some tea? Hot chocolate? Cappuccino?"

"I haven't planned what hotel I'm going to either." Shooting said. "So, do you have any hobbies?" Shooting asked in a somewhat awkward manner. She looked around. She studied his features carefully. 'I hope I don't come off as a weird pony.' Shooting thought.

Melody felt that she was being stroked and melted in the warmth. She then realized that Ochre had asked her a question. "Oh...not now..." She said as she continued to melt in his warmth. She was still sniffling a bit, as the thoughts of her in school lingered in her mind.

"I don't really have hobbies, unless you count traveling." Pacific said. I'm amazed she hasn't thought of me as strange yet... He thought, looking around nervously. He wanted to make conversation so he didn't look weird, but he had no idea what to say so he just stayed quiet.

"Something on your mind, your awfully quiet compared to the conversation we just had." Shooting said with a quizzical look. She smiled at the beat that her hooves made as she walked.

"What? No, I'm fine." Pacific answered. He decided it might be a good idea to start searching for a hotel to stay at for the week. If I find a good one, and it's too expensive... I ask her to share a hotel room with me. It may be weird but it'll save us both bits. He decided mentally.

Red was still studying the train station's map of Las Pegasus when another train pulled up to the platform. Finally figuring out the hotel room supplied by the contest, he trotted up near the exit of the platform, wondering if any others were going the same way before grabbing a cab all for himself.

"Okay. Want to start looking for a hotel to stay at?" Shooting asked, looking for a decent looking hotel. Shooting nearly tripped but regained her composure, giggling after. 'I'll admit, I'm weird.' She thought after her giggling died down.

Ochre Dust continues to pet Melody, sensing its relaxing influence on her. "So... what's it like being an alicorn? I come from a very old, very big clan, but we've never had an alicorn at any point. What were your parents like?" He then lays down beside Melody, continuing his ministrations. Her wings are quite soft, reminding him of a certain Warrant Officer in his past. He lets out a slightly dejected sigh.

"My...my parents are a pegasus and a unicorn. My father's the pegasus and my mother's the...unicorn. I was supposed to be a pegasus but...a mutation occured where...I got...both alleles....if you know what I mean..." Melody said wiping some tears off her face and uncurling a little.
