gaming Can anyone recommend any horror/survival games?

I'm a pretty big Alan Wake fan. The game is more subtle horror, but it's still scary as all hell, and has some pretty good game mechanics. Alan Wake's American Nightmare was pretty sweet too.

When it comes to survival horror games, I couldn't recommend the Silent Hill series more. They mix puzzle, exploration and combat elements and it's just awesome.

I'd personally choose SH 2 for it's story and atmosphere, but SH 3 is probably one of the scariest in the series and it's much longer.

I wouldn't say they're awful. I got used to them pretty quick.

I don't think I would necessarily call Alice horror or survival. More like Dark Fantasy TPS.

 

I guess it has a dash of horror in it but definitely doesn't hold many features common in the established horror genre.

Well I can say, Resident Evil and Doom
