Sorry for my absence. I have been going through a lot lately. I guess I will post once everything starts going well for me again.

How would you walk, how would you talk if you thought: "Three percent of the population likes classical music, if only we could get it up to four percent we'd be back in business and all our problems would be over." How would you walk, how would you talk if you thought: "Everybody loves classical music! They just haven't found out about it yet!" It's an entirely different world. It's what you make of it that counts.

I found an easy way to find out if you've inspired someone. If their eyes are shining, you know you're doing it!

@@Blue,

Dude, you should, like, totally keep track of my weapon like you would in a video game. That's one of the many things I like about this RP: it feels more like a game.

You mustn't use all your arrows in one place at one time lest you be eaten by a grue.

Will you be determining that?

What I've been doing for chance is rolling some dice to determine probability.

But when the chance depends upon individual input from players, I'll just tell you guys the chances of success and then you guys can roll your out actual outcome. Find three dice, or use this website http://www.random.org/dice/ using 3 or more.

I said 40-50% chance of success.

Blue Eclipse, if you roll with 3 dice, the maximum total is 18. 50% of 18 is 9. If you roll a 9 or higher, then that means you find your arrow. If the total is less than 9, then that means you've spent one permanently.

With all that said, I was really hoping I wouldn't need to involve numbers. We could still go that route: what I mean by not using numbers is that I simply use adjectives to describe probabilities, and then Players would decide using their own discretion and prudence to apply what would be most fun, interesting and/or dramatic from their point of view, based upon their own decision to say if a given happenstance succeeded or not. The advantage to this is that it allows a great deal of freedom to all players, but it severely limits the possibilities of catastrophic failures (or absurdly improbable successes) without my direct intervention as GM. It also requires that I trust my players to not just say to themselves "nuts to drama" and state that they always succeed at everything-- a mechanic that is easy to abuse.

I just rolled and got 9 bang-on!

(I swear, I'm being honest. That's a dilemma you face when you can't see what the other RPers are doing)

@@Blue,

I've heard these ponies described as "the size of ladybugs", "one inch tall", and now "the size of a mouse". How big are they, exactly?

At no point did I ever use ladybirds as a fair judge of scale. The standard I lay out nearabout Page 1 or 2 of this OOC is "the size of a Lego Minifigure" for a default size pony.
