Sekel just raised an eyebrow. "Explosions? You can create explosions with your mind mate? That's cool. The only thing I can do is this." Sekel said. He took off his hoody, revealing that he had a bright yellow t-shirt on. He opened his eyes, and felt radiation flow through him. Soon enough, he began to glow, literally, his whole body was just one giant lightbulb. "I'm just glad it's night." Sekel shrugged as he placed his hands in his pockets.

"Jeez" Jack watched as the others did their thing. 

And that's another thing I don't have to worry about. Explosions and glowing. Now I just have to make sure I don't get in the way.

He stayed near to the back hoping no one would notice him. 

Why am I even here? I could have gotten out ages ago... I'll just say back here and I won't have to do anything. The professor won't notice.

@@RunsWithSquirlz, Having seen what Nicolas and Sekel could do, Amber bravely stepped forward. If Nicolas wasn't afraid to show everyone his powers, then she wouldn't be, either.

 

Amber stood in the centre of the quarry, and closed her eyes in concentration. She rose into the air, carried on wind currents as black storm clouds gathered above her. A dazzling fork of lightning flashed down, striking the side of the quarry, and thunder rumbled. Then rain began to fall. With an obvious effort, Amber concentrated in calming the skies and bringing herself back to the floor as the rain stopped and the clouds slowly disappeared from the sky.

Professor Allrich stared in complete awe at the events before him. He had seen films and pictures, had even met a few other like himself but it never got old. It never ceased to amaze him.

 

"Nicholas? Wouldn't it be better for you to look where you're aiming? Have you ever tried shooting at a distance?" he asked the shy man.

 

He took a closer look at Sekels skin "Dr.Rainier will have a field day with this..." he mumbled. "Have you ever intensified the glow?"

 

It was Ambers gift that distracted him and he shielded his eyes from the whipping wind. "Very well done Amber, you have good control!" he patted her on her shoulder. Hair disheveled he smiled "Very beautiful, the force of nature. You dear, have nothing to worry about."

 

Ravek had arrived with Annie silently on the shuttle and had gotten there in time to see Sekels glow. Annie stood back, telling Ravek to join the others.

 

Fae didn't want to demonstrate anything, she shrunk back; further into the shadows of the shuttle while watching the Professor re-arrange the metal plates in the walls by raising his hand.

Nicholas thought about what the professor had said. "I guess... I mean, this is the first time I've really tried my powers at all. Normally it just sort of happens on it's own. I can try aiming long-distance now if you want. And I guess if I'm farther away from the explosion, it isn't necessary to shield my eyes from it, so I can keep them open."

"Hmm? Intensify the glow? I don't think so. I've always been afraid of blinding people if I did it though ..." Sekel said. "In theory, I can be as bright as the sun but that would actually blind people." Sekel added. He slipped his hoody over his head and that dimmed the glow somewhat but the yellow stripes had the same intensity as his skin. "I guess I can try."

"Good then..." he walked over to the middle of the quarry again with Nicholas, pointing to a wall far off. "I want you to concentrate on one spot on that wall then try, ok?" Allrich took a few steps back.

"It is possible you have so much energy in you that it doesn't know where to go." he answered Sekel.

As Skel thought about him having too much energy, the stripes on his hoody glowed brighter than before, almost like he was a walking flashlight. Whereas before, it was subtle and you could barely see it, now, it's vibrant and blindingly bright already. "I don't think I can control it well. At night, when no-one's around, I can see myself glow, and it doesn't hurt my eyes. I can see at night without a flashlight." <--- moved down!

He shrugged. As long as he was in a place where he wasn't going to hurt anybody, and since he'd already demonstrated his powers once anyway, he figured he might as well give it a shot, at least. He focused as hard as he could on a spot on the wall, keeping his eyes open and staring directly at it. After a few seconds, chunks of earth went flying as a section of the wall exploded. A little ways off from where he was aiming, admittedly, but it had basically worked.

"Hmmm you have many possibilities Sekel, I'm sure the glow means something. You might be able to blind others." Allrich observed and squinted.

 

"Does no one else wish to demonstrate? Ms.Sera? Anyone?"

"I had control over my powers cuz I'm not feeling strong emotions at the moment," Amber pointed out. "If I'm angry, or frightened, then it just tears out of me and I can't stop it. That's what I want to fix."

 

Amber watched the others who demonstrated and thought that their powers were more useful than hers.

Dan decided to step up and show what he could do. "My powers are kind of open ended." He said, "I can absorb and manipulate energy, like so." The air around him then got colder and colder as he closed his eyes in concentration. "He then raised his hand and pointed at the wall. It then glowed red and a beam shot out and melted the metal on the wall as it passed through it. Dan then visibly relaxed and opened his eyes, "That's just one thing I can do with the energy I absorb though. I can discharge any type of energy as long as I've been exposed to it. So far I'm limited to how far I can bend the laws of physics."
