How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: During my dad's last year of life, he acquired a disorder that was a cross between tourettes and dementia. He spend most of his days constantly hallucinating and screaming all day. One day, I didn't hear him anymore. As I went to check on him, I saw him calmly sitting down falling asleep while MLP was on. I laughed and turned off the t.v. so he could sleep. After his death in January, I was sad most of the time and didn't care much for life anymore. On April fools day, I was channel surfing and found the show. I decided to give it a try since it was able to help my dad and I loved it! It brought me out of depression and now here I am. lol

I love playing many kinds of instruments and hanging out with friends. One of my friends hates the show but didn't seem to mind when me and my cousin were watching it on Netflix in his living room. Lol at least he doesn't judge

Hi there Toast, welcome to MLP Forums. I am very sorry about what happened to your dad. That must have been a very difficult thing for you and all who know him to go through. If you ever want to talk to anybody about that, I am always willing to listen.

 

I am very glad to hear that MLP helped you out of depression. It has helped me with issues in my life as well, and it has helped many others. It is truly a wonderful show.

That is much worse then what I went through yesterday.

 

I am so sorry for your loss.

 

Sometimes when something is so bad, it would make anyone feel like its the end.

 

You seem to have been through a lot more than me.

 

We should realize that not all hope is gone because our lives have value.

Hi Toast and welcome to the forums.  I'm sorry to hear about your dad.  I've lost both of my own parents, my dad just a few years ago.  That kind of loss is never easy.  But I'm glad that MLP brings you comfort.
