Over glamorizing of the ponies in fan fiction?

Have you noticed the over glamorizing of the ponies in fan fiction? As in depicting Equestria as this place, where nothing ever bad happens. Quite frankly, I find that boring. There's no drama nor suspense.  

 

In fact, in many fan fiction they glamorize it to the point that even the show itself is less of a perfect place. I don't know, Nightmare Moon, Discord, King Sombra and oh and Tirek messing stuff up in the show, kind of is contradictory to say Equestria is perfect.

 

News flash what if Tirek or Nightmare Moon had won? Perhaps in alternate universe where either one may have ended all life in Equestria. So uh, is Equestria still absolutely perfect with no flaws whatsoever? Despite Tirek and Nightmare Moon.

 

I suppose, the person that writes these just wants to escape reality and live in a fantasy dream land, where nothing ever bad happens. Yeah, that sounds boring to me personally.

I agree it would be very boring if there was no conflict at all. One cannot truly appreciate the good until they first experience the bad. Conflict makes the world go round!

That's a great idea. I'm thinking of an idea for a new fan fic and you gave me an idea for a  new story. Alternate universe: Sombra rules them all! Or something close to that...

Can I just say that Fan Fiction is made by fans,as a fan I know that I don't want bad sh*t to go down. It just takes a truly magnificent writer to still keep the illusion of a perfect world, even though eventually it is revealed that there is some bad shiz goin' down!

Well if you don't want sunshine and rainbows, then 'Last Tears in Tartarus' is a great fan fiction on FimFiction that tells the tale of a orc-occupied Equestria.
