writing My Beat!

A pearly gray dawn welcomes the day...

And the sun is tinted pink as I express

The galaxy is so unique, bright and colorful

Represents mankind well through all time

 

A time of calmness teaches me how to love

And yet the dreams show I did so before

These words make me lift myself proudly

I can dance my own beat, misguided earlier

But found so solemnly, I can now sing for you

 

I don't want to erase my feelings, destroy it all

I want to renew these broken digital connections,

Like the stars, they link us so easily, wanted or not

I'll never ask to get rid of this communication link

Because I can dance to my own beat, misguided earlier

 

I'll purge through the darkness because I want to and can,

The brightness is artificial and thick with despairing fear

I want to crush the dark baton of hopelessness with all my might

False love blossomed weakly and I've been never more thankful.

Your hellish agony will be the death of me but it won't ever be soon.

 

Let's get rid of this double-edged sword, toss it all away like a regret.

Your cold hatred does nothing to break my love only for you, as always

Your deeply etched scowl mocks so awfully your once beautiful smile

But, I want to end your pained expressions and though I'll be behind a curtain,

I can trust the ones who've loved you, through it all, and still do care, like me.

 

It's because I can dance to my own beat, live without scares, and feel love for you,

I guess all your fears are always so contriversial, I'm sure your curses won't compare

Because the power love prevails over all darkness, I hope it interwines our fates again.

Because I can dance to my own beat, I can mature and blossom in new forms of love,

I'll never need flimsy romances that give a bounty over my accursed head that traps me

 

Because I can dance to my own beat, I can feel like I'm in utopia!

I can shoot across the silver stars in the night sky, I can smile!

I'll always learn from the deepest of scars, but I'll do my best!

Happiness is always found by dreams-

 

Because I can dance to my own beat, I'll love,

You and always you, and all the others too.

Haven't you felt like screaming in pain?

Don't worry, because I felt that all too well.

But a gold dawn will soon conquer, I know it.

 

Despite your anger and your delusions,

I will survive with my true redeemption.

You're not there but I will definitely rise.

Be amazed, because I'm here for you,

Because I can dance to my own beat!

The main section of Octavia's Hall is for pony art only. This has a very distinct lack of ponies, so it belong in the non-pony section

This is well written and have a great use of many expressions, but I must recommend you to keep the structure through the whole work. Make sure to use the same line length, and hopefully the same amount of syllables in every line. This well help the poem work more smoothly and will make it sound better if read aloud.
