Hello everypony!

 

I'm currently working on my new Application for Android Phones. Its a Episode Guide for the show.

Its a lot of work but it will be done soon.

I made some screenshots how it may look like.

 

 

I'm currently adding the Download script for the show transcripts.

 

It would be very nice if you could give me some feedback

Unfortunately, no. Not in the near future. IOS does not support my Java based application.. so i would have to rewrite it in non-Objective C/C/C++. Since i am not that familiar with those languages it could get very difficult. After completing the app for the android, i will try it for IOS.

The new IOS will have a cleaner and more flexible language. Say goodbye to that ugly marriage between languages that devs had to deal with before. BTW, If you need any Alpha's or Beta's let me know.

You may want to change the focus of the image asset to a dimmer state when the transcript is active so the text is easier to read. So far so good though

Alright last update for today.

 

After 3 hours of figuring out why my while loop is keep throwing an Exception, i finally got the color for each of the mane 6 so far.

Still, the color is for the names and not only when they say something.

update: i am currently adding all the season 1 transcripts. Season 1 will be done today

Hey everypony! today i will be working on some new stuff. Like the option to search through all the episodes and to download all the transcripts at once.

Update #4 Unfortunately, there are some problems occurring while trying to implement the 'search' and 'download all transcripts' functions. I will continue to fix these functions later.

For better reading purpose, I've set a black/transparent background to the transcript system.

 

Will begin to implement Season 2 and 3 soon.

Update #5 started with Season 2!  unfortunately, i didn't have time this weekend to work on the app but now I'm "back" got enough time to work on it now

There's hardly any Rarity anywhere at all in this app No me gusta.

He actually had Rares as the background asset on the first build.

Hey guys. I am almost done. All 4 Seasons are complete (except the transcript). Still try to choose the perfect colors, so you can read everything without problems. I will also make new Backgrounds and maybe add small Thumbnails for every episode.

Hey guys! I am done with the whole Layout and move on with the Name Colors inside the Transcripts. This is how it looks so far:

 

here i'm about to add the colors..Still not sure if i should add every characters that exists.. we'll see.

@Brokenwings - What I would highly recommend would be for you to open source the application. This way, you'll invite contributions (via pull requests) as well as allow newer developers to learn from your app. After all, this isn't for profit ^(...right?)!

Of course its not for profit, but i am not sure about your idea to make it open source.. Still, I'm open for Feedback and Suggestions at anytime.

Why not make it open source? You don't gain anything by making it closed source. An extra GitHub repo looks good as well.

Update:

Just because the app is now available doesn't mean, i will leave it the way it is. I'm thinking about adding all Songs with Lyrics of Course. The songs will be available over the internet because the app would be pretty over sized with all mp3 files on your SD. But i am not sure how i should add it exactly. I already added a little preview but maybe its better to make it all with a slider or something similar. I just don't want to have a thousand buttons on one Activity Screen.This is how it could look:

 

On this Screen you can see what i mean with "thousand buttons" its a mess

 

This is how it looks now. I will change it of course. I was thinking about using a simple ListView (like i used to display all episodes).

I would recommend having tabs at the top of the screen to switch between summary transcript and songs; that would tidy it up significantly.

Hey guys whats up-

I started this week with adding tabs. It was a little bit difficult, because i had to rewrite the whole class file. But i got at least the first one done with the description and the new feature.

Still, i don't like the way the tabs look like, because they don't have icons. The Transcript is also soon available inside the tabs but i have to figure out how i want to do that.

 

I really like the idea with the tabs, even though i have to rewrite all ~98 class files :okiedokielokie:  will take some time but i think its worth.

Also the app currently lists over 2000 installs and over 5000 downloads. But unfortunately, a lot of 1 star rating. But i look forward to improve my app as good and fast as i can.
