Not Dead, Not Gone, Still Kolth

Hey, anyone bothering to read this.   So I suppose there are two types of people: those who remember me from when I...y'know, actually did stuff here, and new people who are just discovering blogs or something. To that, I have two things to say:   To those who know me: I'm not dead, and I'm not gone. This past summer and my subsequent transition to college life has been absolutely hectic. As you can probably tell already, I was removed from the Public Relations team for inactivity (althou

Concrete thoughts on IDW writer's Ted Anderson's firing

Equestria Daily reported on the Anderson dramaseen on Round Stable, MLP Forums, /mlp/ (Horse-News), and so forth, and the news has spread around the fandom that writer Ted Anderson has since been fired as of yesterday.   What I have below are concrete thoughts on the drama and Anderson's dismissal. They were on here and EQD combined and tidied.     Anderson doesn't deserve any sympathy for what he did, and he completely deserves to be fired.   David McGuire is a bit more obscure (in my p

Need advice on my job, it's serious

I wanted to just ask some friends who may follow me, about really breaking free out of my wage slave job. Now I have bills to pay of course, granted not much. But I'm not going to live life just clicking buttons for my parents. My family owns a home agency. I took out the words health and care because I see these people all the time and they're drugged beyond comprehension as these corrupt nurses just demand more money and act like they have entitlement.   I am saddened and angry over the gre

Lighter than a Ghost.

I finished installing my new upgrades recently. Which included the entire drivetrain.I've also removed a bunch of unnecessary bits, like the bash guard and chain device.   I put her on the scale, she weighs in at 30.19lbs. I'm happy with that weight, though I know I can get it even lighter with some new wheels, but those cost a lot. Carbon Fiber is another upgrade option for some parts, but again...carbon components are expensive.Ultimately I'd like to trim her down to below 30lbs.     Up

Pinkie sense Story #1: Case of the Creepy-Crawlies.

It was a dark and stormy night. Mwahahahahahaaa!!   Actually, it wasn't. That's just the thing. I had no reason to believe that there would be any kind of bug in the bathroom. I hadn't seen a bug earlier, bug season hadn't quite started....   But when I opened the door to the bathroom, I was nervous. Somehow, I knew that there was a roach in there. So before I walked in I scoped the bathroom and saw nothing.   Let me make this clear: I am not a paranoid person. I don't look around the ba

Where to Draw the Line

The media today, ladies and gentleponies, is full of absolute garbage. It's mainly pure nonsense, void of any substance, control, or true meaning. As a result, it has affected each and every single living being that has some sort of connection to it.   What I mean by that, is that the media has basically ruined us. Everypony has become judgmental, subjective and basically shallow. The media has corrupted and ruined the once sacred and traditional views and beliefs we all used to have. What are

Celestia's Ballad Cover, It's Time For You, To Hit the Correct Note

(Jezz I really need to learn to make decent titles ;p.)   Ahem, so, I did this a couple weeks ago now I believe(i forget exactly how long, but it was the same day I did the "Bats" cover if I remember.) and I finally decided to upload it here, since I had it lying around.   Since this was done on the same day as the "Bats" cover I didn't spend as much time with it as I probably could have, and thus I honestly think it isn't that impressive, and I could have done better, but it wasn't necessa

Skyrim Silliness - Just a bunch of screenshots of stupid stuff that happens in this game either intentionally or not

Sometimes I play this game and it bugs out from time to time. And it's pretty funny. Other times, I find stumble on things that all came together and it made me laugh. And then there are other things I did specifically so I could take a picture of it and share it with the world one day.   Well that day is today.   #1 IT'S THE CIIIIIRRRRRRCLE OF LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIFE!!!!!!!!     Seriously....trying to kill a dragon here and my horse goes Pride Rock on me....   #2. Soundtrack-Time! "Awesome Mix Vol. 1"

Guardians of the Galaxy.   I watched that movie two times already. My town happens to inhibit a lot of movie-interested people so I could even watch it in English one time, even though the German dub is quite good. But nothing’s ever as good as the original, so …   What I liked was not just the good balance of serious action and genre-breaking humor, but also the soundtrack. Especially what’s also sold as Awesome Mix Vol. 1 as a single album or together with the original score. And it’s inte

Brohoof/post ratio, is it important?

What? I didn't know what to pick for the image, ok! Anyway, as of late I have found myself increasingly obsessed with my ratio of brohoofs vs the amount of posts I have. But does this even matter? My current ratio is 94 brohoofs/91 posts, or 103%. If you reply, make sure you post your ratio to!

Gatekeeper Giggle

The saddest first topic I could think of.

I had a lot of ideas for what I'd post as my first "Real" blog entry. I wanted to do a spotlight on a really fun game I've been playing lately, share some of my thoughts on censorship, or post an entry talking about some of my experiences with family.   Instead I'm going to talk about life advice. I just decided to post something there, but once I got about 7-8 paragraphs into my stupidly long essay describing all of my various problems with myself, I realized something. I was pretty much list

Turbo Review: Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse (XBOX)

Want just a quick summary? Check out the Final Verdict for that and my rating! Stubbs the Zombie Platform: Xbox, PC Genre: Third Person Action/Shooter Publisher/Developer: Aspyr/Wideload Stubbs the Zombie was a very neat release from 2005. In a world populated by zombie media, movies, games, etc, Stubbs came along and through a wrench in the zombie game formula by adding comedy, a neat setting, and instead of killing the zombies, you ARE the zombie.   You play as Stubbs, formerly known

Captain Rarity, Mistress of the Sapphire Sea, Chapter one

This is the first chapter in a story i wanted to write for some time. It is about betrayal, love, piracy, fabulosity, hate, and butts with diamonds on it. A callback to the golden age of piracy. Hope you like it as much as i liked writing it.   If you have any ideas, critique or praise, please share them in the comments below.

Cyan Reviews your Crap: Close to the Edge

This is my second blog post and also my second review of an album. I know nobody is keeping up with it but even if one person looks at it, I get to share my taste in music.       Close to the Edge, by Yes (of course ) is one of the most well known album by Yes and was probably where all the musicians were at their peak. Rick Wakeman was as genius as ever. Alan white was new on tour (but Bill Bruford is the one playing drums on the album) Steve Howe was ripping out amazing solos, as wel

Nerdvana, or the first step to achieving it.

So, recently, I hit the big 21. What I got this year, courtesy of family that buys at least one gift regardless of age, is a PS2 with two games. Now, you might be asking what this has to do with the title. Well, I wasn't the only one in the family to hit blackjack. My bro did too, four days after me. What he got was a comic he had been really wanting. Deadpool vs Carnage. Great read. He also got a bunch of other comics.   Video games and comics. Two big nerd things. For me, it's the first step

Finally more than public broadcasting at my house, one room.

So yesterday, my dad and grandma decided to buy Dish for a satellite hookup, which I'd had before, but not for a while. We get all the Fox Sports channels, but we also get BBC and the Hub, which happen to have my favorite shows. I got an oppurtunity to watch Spongebob and My Little Pony today, and some MLP yesterday, but there's only one receiver, in the dining room that ended up as more of a family/living room, because my dad's family is a little cheap (my mom has 4 or 5 cable receivers at her
