Now that we have, regrettably to some, reached the mid-season hiatus in this, the series' fifth season, I thought it appropriate to devote some time to examining each heretofore aired episode and to offer my in-depth analyses. I will be individually presenting my extensively considered and deliberately worded opinions on all thirteen episodes and have concealed the bulk of this post in a spoiler for the purpose of tidiness.

 

Though, before I begin in earnest, know that my intentions are neither to upset fans of the show (or fans of these critically observed episodes) nor to spread needless controversy throughout the analysis community. I simply mean - and hope - to provide a possibly unique perspective that will provoke further and deeper thinking.

 

Let's begin:


The Cutie Map (Part 1):
I liked it.

 

The Cutie Map (Part 2):
I liked it.

 

Castle Sweet Castle:
I really liked it.

 

Bloom and Gloom:
It was okay.

 

Tanks for the Memories:
I really liked it.

 

Appleoosa's Most Wanted:
I didn't like it.

 

Make New Friends but Keep Discord:
I liked it.

 

The Lost Treasure of Griffon Stone:
I really liked it.

 

Slice of Life:
I liked it.

 

Princess Spike:
It was okay.

 

Party Pooped:
I really liked it.

 

Amending Fences:
It was okay.

 

Do Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep?
I really liked it.

 

 

I appreciate your taking the time to peruse my obviously well thought-out and honest analyses. If I've offended you, I can say only that I stand by my opinions no matter how they might be received by either yourself or the community at large.

You didnt explain why you like/dislike episodes. I would like to hear your thought about the episode beside "like or dislike it". Anyway, it's good for you to enjoy this season so far. =]]

You made some very insightful points there. I was especially impressed with your analysis of "Make New Friends and Keep Discord", in which you stated, "I like it". I had not thought to see that episode in that perspective, and it sheds new light on to Discord's characterization.
