it's a shame that some people in the fandom have made you feel this way. 

That's your decision. Me personally, I'm not one to allow people like that to affect my enjoyment of something. I like things with some of the worst fandoms ever and heck, I still enjoy them. I just kind of let them be in their fantasies and only call them out if they're actually being a dick to someone.

But if you feel the show has also dumbed down for you, then yeah this is probably the best choice for you.

I have known over 70 Bronies, only 8 have I ever met who were not like this. I have been hanging out with SOOO many Otaku's, over 50 actually, and I have only seen 7 who were acting like pure perverts. Yes, they may go "She is so kawai" or "She is so bae" but they don't randomly out of the blue say "I want to f**k her". I realize every fandom has it's cons, but the Brony fandom seems to have had way too many for my personal enjoyment.

Not sure who you are talking to because I don't experience this much at all. Again though, you could just ignore those people. That isn't too difficult to do in this case. Do what you want though.

@@C.B and @@Kyoshi are right on the money. Stereotyping is lazy, and you're pandering to stereotypes by scapegoating the fandom. Second, if you decide to abandon a fandom because of its bad parts, then what happens when other fandoms have a lot of perversion — will you abandon those, too?

Wrong. The fandom has nothing to do with the show itself. FIM and the fandom are their own entities; bronydom has nothing to do with the product and shouldn't affect your enjoyment of it in any way. Letting them affect your liking for it in any way is petty.

I saw that, too, before replying to you. My problem there is when you said the show is one other reason you have a problem with the fandom. Again, the fandom and show aren't interchangeable. Bronydom doesn't have anything to do with the show or its quality. Bronies are bronies because they like FIM, nothing more.

Because like he said the show has nothing to do with being a Brony.

Hell I don't love the show (I am more of a comic gal) but I still call myself a Brony. But whatever if it causes you this must displeasure perhaps it is best you leave.

I could relate with you as well, seeing as how the brony fandom and the show itself is changing in many ways.

You know, most people just accept the fact that there are people you are going to disagree with in all fandoms. At the end of the day it isn't your business what they do, if there are groups on skype with alot of chats like that, don't join them? In every single fandom in existence, even powerpuff girls there are people who take it sexually, best to just move on with it, stay for the aspects you like and don't slander people for they're preferences  But good luck with what you decide to do!
