Heck, I barely ever know whats going on around here, but I come and post here anyway. I don't think we consider anybody who posts here as an outsider to be fair. Just post whatever you feel like, don't ever feel like your alienated, because all of us are here for ya

One of mine that annoys me to an extent is how everybody basically calls Applejack nothing more than a farmgirl type pony. I find her to be much more complex than that. -
Well thats a good reason for it to be cancelled. Is there scheduled storms on the day of the race? I mean it seems a bit far in terms of time to predict if it will rain then or not.

Ouch man. Hope you stay safe and that the storms aren't as strong as believed. The system that OKC got was catastrophic. It worries me that these storms are seemingly becoming worse and worse.

What are those from? Is that from all the severe storms which caused tornadoes in the midwest?

I can relate, nobody likes traffic haha. We go to Cape Cod, MA annually in the middle of July, which is also in the peak of the area's travel season. So usually everything is pretty busy, but we've learned to get use to the traffic in the evening now. I've always wanted to go to NC, most specifically the Outer banks. Heard its gorgeous there.

In the show itself, I'm going to guess that they are like humans in age sense. Like most of the mane 6 would be around 17-21 I imagine, with Pinkie being youngest overall since she lives with the Cakes technically making her seem like she isn't old enough to live on her own. But I imagine Granny Smith must be in her 70s or so in this sense. -
Oh I bet. I live in NY, and I've driven to Virginia before, and thought that was long. Your trip is twice that of mine I'm not doing much this summer in terms of traveling myself, mostly because we're saving up money for a possible bigger trip next year.

What Type OF Music Would Each Pony Listen To?

Interesting. Twilight: Definitely more along the lines of adult contemporary and R&B music. Stuff that isn't overly intense, but at the same time is good and sometimes complex music for a complex mind. In that sense, I could see Twi being a big indie rock fan as well. Fluttershy: Indie Pop or Dream Pop. The music relies on really bright texturing with soft spoken vocals and typically sounds overall pretty happy. New Age and maybe indietronica might fit. Applejack: Definitely country rock and western music, but I could also see her listening to just plain classic rock staples. Pinkie Pie: Top 40 hits, a whole bunch of EDM (electronic dance music), and maybe add in some disco and soul, since she does like to dance and party, and what better music to groove to than disco? Rarity: Classical music for a classy pony. I could also see her going towards lounge music and some jazz as well, more sophisticated music to say the least. Rainbow Dash: Alternative and Punk Rock, mixed in with a little metal. Intense stuff with driving rhythms for somebody who always moving and with high energy (when not napping). Could also put some dubstep and harder hitting electronic. -
Ouch. That sounds strange, but this is coming from a person with not much knowledge of that sort of thing. So it only works with a strong connection?

Yeah the fanbase tends to overreact to things, and this is true of any fanbase for any show or franchise. I always took what I first saw with an open mind, as I knew that things couldn't be all bad if I gave it a chance. And like all the ones mentioned, it turned out to be pretty damn good in the long run. As for Equestria Girls, well, right now I'm iffy on the whole idea, and probably won't bother watching it until it comes out on DVD, maybe. I'm okay with it as long as it doesn't intertwine with the actual show itself. Leave it as a stand alone.
