Que sera. If it survives, good on the fans, if it doesn't... That's that. But i've seen some obscure fanbases survive for far longer amounts of time without less material to work with, in an age where easily accessible internet was a new thing in the early/mid 90's. In these days, the artistical side of the MLP fanbase alone generates more than enough to go on for several years. At the very least, some aspects of it will survive. And it has grown bigger and more influential than i initially thought it would. I'm seeing it sticking around for quite some time. If G5 eventually shows up and becomes a sequel/prequel of some sorts, they just go where it left off. The current formula of the show works well enough to keep making stories for... And i don't see them changing course that much. They didn't even expect they would go past the first 3 seasons, now we're already approaching 7. Something kept people coming back for more. Part of it is it's limitless storytelling potential in a vibrant anything-goes world.
