      It is not Icelandic media. The Economist is a well respected British magazine (they were on Cameron's side in the elections by the way).

       

      I don't know if your government would really leave it up to the people to vote, considering the economic depression of 2008. The Icelandic government chose to allow its people to vote if they would try to pay for what the Private Banks had done.... it was not well received by the British or Dutch government :T.

      We are having a referendum in 2017. The people of Britain will vote in said referendum and therefore it will be the people of Britain who will decide.
