  1. Possibly a longer route over some deserts and through the flatlands, similar to Route 66, which goes through Arizona and New Mexico. Big Mac might have chosen that route, being the strongest of the pair, and better suited to handle the long stretches of galloping between sparsely populated towns.
  2. I'd go for Science/Technomancery first, but I've also had a big love for history and studying the past, so I'd also spring for Time Manipulation. As for Elemental fields, I'd choose Water. I love the idea of things being fluid and I love to swim.
  3. I'd say my biggest crush would be Fluttershy. She's just so soft-spoken and shy, but her love and adoration for all the little animal critters just melts my heart every time. I just want to give her a big hug and cuddle, if it weren't for the fact that A: it would freak her out and scare her half to death, and B: she's a fictional character and I'm trapped here in the real world. -_- She also still has it in her to really bring the fire when she really has to, which I can only respect her for.
  4. Aww, does this mean we all have to relearn Past-Present participles? Just make sure the staff doesn't run into their other selves, or it will create a temporal paradoxal loop.
  5. Feeding time! *Nomomomomom* <3

  6. I've been a pretty closeted brony myself, as only one other friend of mine knows. She should; she was the one who turned me onto the show. The most I've come close was to gently mention it in passing, when we were discussing fanbases of shows like Dr. Who, Star Trek, etc. I happened to briefly mention the brony fanbase, and, sensing scoffs and derision from all the others, I decided to clam up and keep hidden. It's nice to still have friendly bronies here on the web, but I find myself craving in-person friendships.
  7. I am Nopony... I have no identity.

  8. English and Japanese, myself. I studied Spanish for 2 years, followed by 2 years of Japanese before living there for a year for school, then learned a bit of Russian from some friends in California. I love to travel a lot, and try to learn at the least a few phrases of anyplace I'm going, to at least make an effort to play by the "house rules". I loved my time in Japan and am still studying the language and going to speaking groups to keep the language skill sharp.
  9. I'm extremely shy and introverted and have trouble making friends. The only friends I made were back in middle school and high school. Best Friend: Matt - Lived across the street from me in middle school and high school. Stood up for me when some bullies were picking on me, having just moved to town and being the "new kid". After that, we would do everything together, play games, share written stories and confide in personal secrets. Sadly, Matt died a few years ago. His dream was to be a Marine, and he was a sniper in Afghanistan, where we was killed by an IED. Wisecracking Friend: Sarah - Met her in summer school where we worked on a few class projects and developed a shared sense of humor. She helped me develop the confidence to use my own sense of humor, instead of recycling funny quips from TV shows in real conversation. She also was from a more down-to-earth background, so she wasn't as high and mighty as most of the other kids from rich families in the neighborhood. In senior year, though, she was hit by a drunk driver and killed while driving from the grocery store. The Popular Friend: Jessie - She was one of the most popular kids in high school, able to move between the cliques and social ladder rungs. She was also valedictorian and even was a frequent interviewee on local news stories in our town. Despite being so busy, she always welcomed me when I tried to make my way into the circles of high school. I doubt I would have ever seen myself as a fellow student if it hadn't been for her welcoming attitude. In her freshman year of college, she had some fish that might have been tainted with peanut oil, and she was found dead the next morning. Crazy Friend: Jon - We met in the Japanese Anime Club in high school and we shared a similar wacky off-the-wall sense of humor. Despite being from different political persuasions, we didn't let that affect our friendship at all and we would often debate about things while remaining respectful and civil. More than once, we took a few trips up to the lake with his family and would get up really early to go waterskiing on the lake, followed by a big breakfast. We're still in touch to this day, with him writing and drawing a small comic series and me editing and proofing it, even with us living a long distance from each other.
  10. Very nice work! I like the slight smirk her eyes give. And in the second one, somehow it feels more fitting if the right speaker set was bent the other way, blasting the music out away from the turntables. We all WUB you, Vinyl Scratch!
  11. I'm 6', 3" and weigh in at 160 pounds. Pretty skinny, but I used to be even worse, almost 130. I've since started trying to build up a bit, but there's really not much adding on, no matter how much I eat to add on the mass to build up on.
  12. I'm not so sure that there's an afterlife, and that deep down, the evidence we have thus far is what we see for ourselves in the living sense. We know that the body dies and withers away, then crumbles into dust. As far as our thoughts and memories go, I like to think that our consciousness does somehow continue in a form we can't really see or even start to comprehend. Not that it's in a religious way, in that there's a heaven or hell, but a little imaginative dream of an afterlife, if there were one, would be where our consciousness reaches another plane of reality and space and time become easily traversable. It's like watching the whole world (heck, even the galaxy or universe) like on Google Earth; able to fade into places and times, or even make up our own.
  13. Hello, Mini Wing! I'm also a new addition, and wish you welcome! I love your OCs! I just love Eclipse, based on the name alone! Any plans in the immediate future to write some stories involving them? I'd love to read some!
  14. I was a big fan of Conan O'Brien when he was on Late Night and the Tonight Show, and these days I mostly watch the Daily Show and Colbert Report.
  15. You're right, Zy. Given her control over her magic as a unicorn thus far, plus her lack of egoism in Equestria Girls has a good indication that she's remaining good. As for how it might be pulled off, it could be done with a behind-the-scene tactic, with a new (or familiar) villain causing a surge of new power through Twilight to get to Celestia through her. But in the end, it'll be the writers' call and I'm sure they'll be able to pull it off in a spectacular way. Either way, I'm looking forward to the ride through Season 4.
  16. My 10th birthday was pretty memorable. My family rented a van and we brought me and 10 of my friends to a VR simulator with stationary booths for one person each, but we had a multiplayer 3D battle royale using walking battle tanks. Pretty standard stuff now, but this was back in the mid-90s, when LAN party battles were a new thing. These days, my birthdays involve me replying to posts on my Facebook wall, and if there's a cake, I often bake it myself. Cause I'm cool like that.
  17. Her teachings have taught her to be resistant to most forms of outside control, but who's to say that her newfound powers as an alicorn won't give her a sudden ego rush? It would take just a slight tip towards arrogance to start her tumbling towards the dark side. It would also be a way of teaching viewers that just power alone doesn't make somepony automatically good, but the way they handle such power that makes them good or bad. It would also give the other Mane 6 ponies a chance to shine as well.
  18. Yes, back to the original point of the post! It might be a bit of a heavy topic for a "kid's show", but getting back to Twilight, we know she's destined for bigger and greater things, as per her 'ascension' into alicorn-hood, so would (one of) her grand-scale acts be gaining an offer of peace between Equestria and the Changeling Kingdom? (Which I've come to dub, "Changenya")
  19. Yeah, it's another heavy topic to touch on, whether the better society is one where individual spirit and self-expression (ponies) is encouraged or whether collective effort and communal harmony (changelings) is more valued. I'm sure I can try to set up a flowchart map for starters in a couple days! Not much of an artist myself, but a small chart to start it up couldn't hurt! Hmmmm, either way, that would be a big reveal episode, revealing that a supposed 'mortal enemy' of Celestia/Equestria would share a common history with them!
  20. Hmmm, very interesting indeed! I remember reading another post about whether they could be considered alicorns, as each Changeling we've seen so far has a horn and wings as well as at least rudimentary magic control, including transformation and explosive spells. Stands to reason that they also have other more constructive spells at their disposal. I would be interested if there were an evolution chart of which came first... almost like a chicken and egg riddle. I'd imagine that ponies may be an offshoot from changelings, as they show further specialization skills and traits, while the changlings show more general, -spread-across-the-board skills.
  21. Yes, it would almost be akin to explaining how the sun/moon, light/shadow, etc exist in a balance, rather than as 'enemies'. Chaos magic does seem to be right on the center of the scale, seeing how Discord is shown to be perfectly able to be both a force for positive and negative. And how even after his reform, he still is shown to still have his mischievous streak going. That's what made the introduction of the Changelings such a thrill to me, with them being almost polar opposites of Pony society and a potential balancing force to them. Twilight may even start to take on the vague appearance of a Changeling as her corruption takes hold, who knows?
  22. I agree, Rainblow Hash. In fact, the fact that she has extremely high potential magic power might lead to a sudden "growth spurt" of immense magical power, which might naturally go right to her head. It would tie into the natural phases of growing up, and how sudden spurts in growing may lead to sudden changes in mood, temperament and attitude. It's a bit heavy-handed, but it would be an interesting take on showing how dark magic is just as necessary and vital as light magic, and also go towards explaining how Celestia is shown to be perfectly capable of using it as in the Crystal Kingdom episode.
  23. There already are some hints that Twilight might have a helping hoof in undoing (or at the least, learning the process of) Luna's corruption and de-corruption between her and Nightmare Moon. There's the precedent that even alicorns can be corrupted, so she's certainly not immune from that risk. If she does get her 'chance' at being corrupted, it would sure be a tense cliffhanger episode, I would imagine. Anyone else thinking of a "Best of Both Worlds" scenario, a la ST: TNG?
  24. "A Changeling soldier should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, command a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance an account, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the sick, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently and die nobly. Specialization is for Ponies."
