It happens sometimes. Really though. Maybe it was just a packing error on the part of the store or distributor? As they say, "never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity". Probably I should have said this in the first place. My apologies if I've offended you. That was not my intention.

I would sign a pledge to only use it in our darkest hours as a community. Is that better?

I would probably split my sides laughing. Of course, if this ever did happen... Parents would storm Hasbro and probably try to burn the place down.

I would like to have the orbital friendship cannon. I would fire it at the people arguing about Derpy, and it would make everyone super friendly with each other. I would also keep it tucked safely away for dealing with trolls in the future. See a troll. Fire the cannon. INSTANT FRIENDSHIP!!!!

I think you overestimate how attentive some parents can be. I also think that you underestimate the cleverness and sheer speed that some little girls can be capable of. After having to babysit a few times, I have built up a healthy respect for the crazy things that young kids can pull off when you blink too many times. A certain relative of mine was notorious for having "sticky fingers" when she was younger. It usually wasn't the parent that caught them either, it was usually one of us and always after the fact - leading to some embarrassing returns to stores.

I hadn't listened to any of the leaked copies of the song, so hearing it on the show was my first time experiencing it. The very first moment that I heard the song starting up on the show, I think my facial expression sunk into a deep frown. I hate songs about smiling and positivity and things like that. They usually strike me as being cheesy and irrelevant. This means that I was pretty surprised when I lived through the song and found myself smiling. I'm not sure if it was the animation, the music itself, or just the way that they interacted. All I know is that I was sold. It wasn't just me either. I have a brother that specializes in cynicism and steely-eyed seriousness. He was grinning too! The song worked on him as well. Since the episode aired, I'm pretty sure that I have listened to that sound at least a hundred times (no exaggeration). I have no idea why I like that song so much, but generally dislike that type of song, but there you have it. (And I am fully aware of how cheesy sounding what I just wrote was.... Don't care.)

Oh... February is over already..... Ah geeze, where does the time go. It feels like February only lasted for a week. Ah well, I don't mean to contribute to the echo chamber, but it isn't quite the end of winter yet. Though we are getting pretty close to it.

Yeah, no kidding. I think that the Nightmare Moon toy that Hasbro released was just about as far as they would be willing to go in releasing villains as toys. And, of course, the Nightmare Moon toy comes with the combable mane as well - not sure if discord has anything that could be made combable. Of course if Nightmare Moon sells really well, then maybe that might change Hasbro's perspective, but, as you say, we still probably won't get a discord. As to the topic of this thread.... When I first saw the images, all that I could think of was this: And I thought.... Yeah, I'd buy those.

I would fight Discord. And, I would win. I wouldn't use physical force, magic, firearms, or any other conventional strategy. Discord is, easily, one of the most powerful forces in Equestria. A normal confrontation would be simple suicide. I would outwit him. While Discord has a great deal of raw power, his power makes him sloppy. He dramatically underestimated the capabilities of the Mane 6. I would confront him directly, and I would use the power of rhetoric to somehow get him to incapacitate himself. This is a fairly time-honored tactic for taking on arrogant, reality-warping entities. Of course, if by some off chance I don't win, then I would get brutally annihilated in a flurry of low comedy. A suitably epic if somewhat humiliating demise.
