Bethanne looked over at Eric, smiling. "Oh, no, I'm nothing like Nurse Joy. I would hate to just stand in one place all the time, letting a machine do all the work." She turned her gaze upwards, to the clouds. "I enjoy roaming around under the blue sky, feeling the sun on my skin, the breeze through my hair. Plus," She turned back towards Eric. "It feels so great to know that my actions helped a pokémon in need. I wouldn't trade that feeling for the world!" She stood back up, dusting off her knees. "Let's go rejoin the group, shall we?"

A small smile stretched across Bethanne's face. "Hello Lurele." she turned to look up at Locke "Hello Locke." She switched to addressing both of them. "I'm Bethanne, and this is...." She pulled out the egg again. "Well, I'm not sure, to be honest. I was never told what it would hatch into when I got it." She was about to turn and ask Eric if his pokémon was still hurt from the battle, when she noticed a small yellow tail poking out of a patch of grass ahead. "Excuse me for a moment." She said, placing her egg back into its spot, and walking over to the tail. As she got closer, she saw it was an Abra. 'Hmm.... It'd do well for me to have a pokémon that isn't in an egg, and I've heard Abra's evolutions are powerful.' Bethanne stepped up to the Abra, pulling a pokéball out of her bag. She pushed the button on the front, causing the ball to grow in size, and readied her stance. Ready to throw the ball, she took a small step back, and lifted her arm. 'Oh!' She lowered her arm, returning the pokéball back to it's normal size and putting it back in her bag. 'It's hurt!' She walked closer to the Abra, and noticed more clearly the gash that had made her stop. It looked far worse up close than it did from a distance. The Abra looked at her, the look on it's face clearly said it was in pain. She knelt down, opening one of the many pockets of her pants, and pulled out a white plastic case, with a red heart on the lid. She opened it, pulling out a small energy root. She tore a bit off, putting the larger of the two pieces back in the case, which then went back into her pocket. She put the smaller bit in her mouth, and began chewing. Her face scrunched up in disgust at the bitterness of it, and after a few seconds of shewing, she pulled out the root bit, which now looked more like a paste. "This might hurt a teeny bit, Abra, but I promise it'll make you feel better." She spread the paste-like root onto the gash, causing the Abra to wince a slight bit. Almost instantly, Abra's wince turned into relief, and Bethanne wiped the remaining paste away, revealing the gash was completely healed. "Better?" She asked the Abra, which nodded enthusiastically in return, and teleported away.

Shi had been walking along the marketplace, going along without a destination in mind. She needed not any supplies or food, but she had a feeling walking through the marketplace was the right thing to do. Shortly, she saw a bunch of ponies sitting around a fire. One of them was holding gauze to his head. She walked over, beginning to hear snippets of their conversation as she got closer. They were talking about the mysterious portals that had begun to sprout up over Ponyville. She was maybe 20 feet or so from the group when a portal appeared in front of her, evenly separating the group from herself. She calmly stopped walking, and stared into it for a few seconds. She then bent over, picking up a rock, and threw it inside, causing the portal to close. Walking the remaining distance between herself and the group, she spoke once she was near. "Quite the nuisance, the portals are becoming."

As Eric stretched his hand and stepped forward, Bethanne took half a step back, hesitating slightly, then returned the gesture with a quick, yet sufficient, handshake. "Hello Eric. I'm Bethanne." 'They must all be trainers, but I don't remember so many teens in Acai. I guess my constant walking kept me from being too social.' She looked around the group, at the others that were there. Of course there was Eric, but there was also a boy with shaggy hair, a boy that appeared to have painting supplies hanging out of his pack, and a girl with long, red hair and green eyes. As her eyes fell on the girl, they also fell on the pokémon beside her. "Oh! Your poliwag looks hurt!" Bethanne exclaimed, walking over to the two. Remembering the sounds she had heard earlier, she asked: "The pokémon battle I heard earlier, was it you?" ((( I had no idea when I made my character how similar she'd be to yours. XD They could be long lost twins of sorts!)))

Bethanne had just started her daily trek to the next town. She normally would have started much earlier, but due to how late she had stayed up the previous night, she overslept. As she walked, she began to search through her side satchel, trying to see if she had forgotten anything for the day. She saw the many ultra balls her parents had given her, shoved away into a tight corner, next to the plain pokéballs she had bought with her own money. Bethanne always hated how her parents constantly tried to win her over with money. The only thing she was ever truly grateful for receiving from them was her egg. Speaking of which, her egg was in a separate, safe compartment, snug and warm. She stopped walking, and took the egg from its compartment, holding it out in front of her. 'I wonder what you could be. You've been starting to make a lot of noise lately. I hope you'll hatch soon.' She thought, examining the egg closely. After a minute, she put the egg back into its pocket, and continued walking down the path. As she did, she looked at the sign. "Route 2 - Acai Town to ---" The sign had been defaced. The name of the next town wasn't visible. Soon after she continued down the route, she began to hear the sounds of a pokémon battle. She slightly quickened her pace, wanting to see what was going on. She kept going until a group of trainers emerged into her view. Two of them were consoling pokémon that seemed to have just been in a battle. She walked up to the group. "Hi" she said. Short, simple, and slightly soft.

'Tis a dark time in Equestria. Since the collapse of the Elements of Harmony, Equestria has had no way to properly defend itself from the evils that reside in the land. An organization known only as "The Government" seized it's opportunity, and began to crusade throughout the kingdom, seizing all areas it passed through. The Government seeped through all of Equestria, taking control over town, cities, even individual homes. Not even the city of Cloudsdale, which at first had turned into a refuge for the land's Pegasi, was truly safe, as it was engulfed by The Government's reign. As The Government spread through the land, it grew more and more powerful, using the inhabitants of the cities and towns it controlled to increase the size of it's armies. Eventually, all that remained free in Equestria was Canterlot. The princesses, not wanting to harm their own citizens, were forced to surrender, leading to The Government's complete control over Equestria. The Princesses were allowed to remain in their positions, but merely as figureheads. The only real political power in Equestria comes directly from The Government. New, harsh rules were instated, and punishments were made more severe. The entirety of Equestria is forced to work, building up The Government's power, resources and armies. It is no question that The Government's true goal is global domination. In an attempt to stop The Government's plans, the three Princesses of Equestria, on the morning of the Summer Solstice, took action. Princess Celestia raised the sun to it's highest point in the sky. Princess Luna raised the moon, placing it in front of the Sun, creating an eclipse. Using the power of the Eclipse to intensify her magic a thousand fold, Princess Cadence imbued four pendants with the magic of love. Together, the three Princesses took the pendants with their magic, each splitting into two halves, and teleported each half to a different pony across Equestria. "Do you really think this will work, Celestia?" Cadence asked, a worried look on her face. "All we can do is hope," Celestia responded, as the sound of The Government's soldiers grew nearer. "That the power of love shall not fail us." 'Tis a dark time in Equestria. Alan was flying over the road leading to Appleloosa. Just beneath him, the details on the dirt path blurred and whizzed past. Looking far above him, he saw occasional Government patrols guarding the air. Nopony was allowed to fly too high, at least, not without being questioned for hours. He turned his attention back to the road in front of him, and almost immediately, there was a flash of bright light right in front of him. The light blinded him slightly, causing him to crash into the ground, tumbling for a little ways, coming to a complete stop past where the flash originated. He let his eyes readjust to normal, checking his wings and limbs. Luckily, his tumble only left him with a few bruises. He then quickly slung off his satchel, opening it, and began to sift through, checking that all the packages were still in one piece. Seeing nothing was broken, he let out a sigh of relief. "Glad to see everything's fine. I don't make enough to have to pay damages." Alan said, to himself. He put the satchel back on, then turned towards where the flash had come from. Seeing something on the ground, he walked the few feets distance towards it. Laying on the ground was a pendant. Or rather, half of a pendant. More specifically, half of a Sun. Curious, he picked it up, putting it in one of the side pockets of his satchel. 'I'll take a look at it later, I've got to get back to delivering these packages.' Alan thought, turning to go back to Appleloosa. He spread his wings, and took off, not stopping again until he reached his destination.

Question: Do you mean soldiering like guns and cannons or soldering like welding metal and stuff.
