  1. I doubt Fluttershy is manipulative. There hasn't been many hints on that. Fluttershy does have a job, it's taking care of the woodland creatures. She also has a chicken coop and raises pigs, for eggs and *ahem* truffles. Fashion and partying can make money but Flutters wasn't talking about money when she said pointless pursuits. Taking care of animals (Fluttershy) Planting crops (Applejack) Researching (Twilight Sparkle) Controlling weather (Rainbow Dash) Are jobs Flutters sees in higher regard. I'm sure this is how she feels. But it's not to be heinous to think that way, all the other ponies don't care about the jobs other ponies do, I'm sure Applejack feels the same way about Rarity's obsession with fashion. The difference was Applejack didn't stomp all over Rarity's integrity. And to have someone they trust more not to attack their emotions like Fluttershy it would of been more hurtful. Fluttershy had less experience with being assertive so she couldn't restrain herself.
  2. Applejack needs some more fleshing in. As a character there isn't anything that stands out from her. A pony with an issue always invokes a good episode. Applejack had two flaws so far. She can become overcompetitive and she can be too proud. Here's some ideas to introduce more issues she would have to deal with. -Applejack has shown a sign of xenophobia. She seemed to be the most spooked about Zecora. Maybe there can be an episode that capitalizes on that and her overcoming it. -Keeping a promise. Though I know this is closer to Spike's personality, from the episode where she didn't win any blue ribbons she was unable to face the others. It was mainly because she was ashamed of herself but she could also be those kinds of people that have to keep their promises to the end. -Must always provide for her family and others. Self-sacrificial. Sometimes this can be a problem, at many times she must be able to care for herself that way she can care for others more. -Third idea could cause her to also thinks it's best that Applebloom works hard and Applejack sets expectations high for Applebloom (Applejack does act like a strict bigger sister to Applebloom). It's possible that Applejack would become overly protective of Applebloom that Applebloom can either A ). Become too dependent on Applejack's coddling and be unable to handle difficult situations B ). Become really irritated about her big sister's constant nagging and run into trouble when she runs off. -Along with her xenophobia maybe she has a weakness for ghosts and magic. She is after an earth pony that doesn't deal with the supernatural. -Maybe she has a fear of riding boats. I know that's a bit of a stretch but maybe she has to try and overcome it to save someone. -Since Applejack is not a very refined pony, maybe there will be a problem with that. She might come across high class ponies that run Apple Businesses that would triumph Apple Acre and Applejack has to get refined to get "in" the system. Rarity could co-pilot this episode helping AJ.
  3. They were cute as ponies and as humans. But for humans there was other flavors since you know they wore clothes. Twilight in particular got a boost in cuteness for me as a human though.
  4. It appeared she needed an army to invade Equestria so she was going to go back and take high school students to be her army. Only reason I can think of why she would have an army of high school students rather than the military of that world could be explained that high school students are easily controllable due to their nature to conform easily.
  5. What's awkward is that the Principal Celestia in the movie looks nothing like the human Celestia doll Hasbro is trying to sell.
  6. Didn't time pass differently between Equestria and the human world? What would take three days in the human world would of just been a few minutes in Equestria. I could be wrong but I got that vibe from the show.
  7. Not as bad as Alicorn Twilight. I did wanted to see a spin-off movie of the MLP cast being humans (of course in an anime-like format but this is close enough). The high school thing turned out better than expected. The biggest downside was that it felt a bit rushed especially the crime/interrogation scene with Sunset Shimmer, Luna, Twilight and Flash Sentry. I felt that part could have had more scenes to it in a CSI detective spoof way or do a courtroom gag. Another rushed part was the final battle between Sunset and the six mane. Felt that could have added more scenes to outline Sunset's cruelty and made her defeat more justifiable.
  8. Not aware of DBZ logic but I suppose you mean he can grow right out of that horn. In fictional magic terms he would be able to transfer his soul into the horn to escape a timely death. I do think his horn being the only part not disintegrating was hinting that he may return for an episode. In fact something tells me his horn was integral for his survival after Celestia and Luna banished him.
  9. I think the reason people hate Angel is the same reason people look with disgust on spoiled kids that would hit their own mother when they don't get what they want at the store or something. Seeing as Fluttershy is like the mom and Angel is the spoiled brat.
  10. Is Lauren Faust working on Season 4? From different sources they point no. In fact she wasn't working on MLP since the second season. So why would anything she say be part of MLP anymore? I think the best thing we can say is that anything she says is how MLP could have been but not necessarily. Then we can come up with all kinds of conspiracies of Hasbro changing those ideas into being used to make the show worst.
