    Thank you both. This idea was another rough sketch that I've been wanting to do for ages. Still have quite a few of those actually... Oh well, now I'm off to bed. It's funny how tired I felt immediately after finishing this picture. Didn't feel it until I hit "submit".

    It's funny how many times in my sketch book he comes out as angry and wild. The episodes that stand out the most in my head while drawing his expressions tend to be the moments where he faces down horrors, usually dangerous beings that had the misfortune of drawing his ire. Silence in the Library, Family of Blood, the Waters of Mars, all resound the image best said in the later episode... the Time Lord Victorious. One of these days I will have to draw a more whimsical image. After all, the moments we see the Doctor unbound in rage are greatly outnumbered by the Doctor who finds wonder in all the universe.

    Yep, I'm a huge Secret of Himh fan as well as the Land Before Time (only the first one!!!). Don Bluth philosophy on animation and storytelling is still, to this day, simply brilliant. Titan A.E. may have had its fair share of faults, but it also had some incredibly brilliant moments. Not to mention an awesome soundtrack. Thanks for pointing out it's one of Don Bluth's films. I somehow missed that.

    Hey, I like her, at least as an antagonist. I can't wait to see her return as they're are so many potential plots that branch off from her departure from Wonderbolt's Academy. She could very well be the next Trixie.

    Yeah, Rainbow Dash even seemed annoyed when they went right back to it, but they will need the perfect situation. After all they were so close way back in Show Stoppers, but they were all using each other's special talents, so nothing stuck. I actually can't decide if I would like them to get their cutie marks together, something that would be incredibly awesome for them, for for them to each earn them in a domino fall of episodes, something that would really depress the final member. A sort of "last of the cutie mark crusaders".

    Reminds me of Nietzsche's "If you gaze long into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back at you". An feeling of foreboding builds up in me the longer I look at it. Pretty cool man.

    Kind of, having to be put in a spot where you know know you are supposed to be a great ruler, and always having to aspire to that without having much of a say in the matter. Destiny or not, each pony feels that they earn their particular niche within their community, and while an natural born alicorn will still have the joy of discovering their cutie mark, they will never truly know why they were born an alicorn. What will they have to do to deserve it?

    Not an outcast, but set apart. While most ponies get to discover who they will get to be a pony born an alicorn would have a defined destiny from birth. That would have to be rough, having the feeling of choice removed, and no one who could relate.
