No Moscow, Idaho?
-
No, I see it as a rule that if someone is first to insist, you let them. The o e exception might be for someone considerably younger than me that I know needs the money. Would you be offended if a friend of yours maintained their friendship with someone you had a falling out with?

I've had my ripe days, but overall not too strong of a bad smaller. I use Degree Ultraclear+ 72 Hour Antiperspirant Deodorant, because despite the name, it ain't none too fancy and gets the job done. I'll shower every 3 days at least when taking time off, but still more to do with accumulated dry skin and hair getting greasy more than anything. However, it's wash my scrubs and jump into the shower first thing after work, because in a vet practice you never know what an animal brings in on them, and you make contact with all manner of bodily fluids and parasites, none of which I want in my home. Right now we mainly use Native Bodywash. They lured us in with their opening limited run of Gummy Bear Scented Shampoo and Conditioner, and have a variety of scents. Currently we have "Sweet Peach and Nectar" as well as "Cashmere and Rain". There's a variety of other branded body washes in our possession as well, but Native has been our primary for about 2 years now. For hair, I'm currently using Pantene 2 in 1 Shampoo amd Conditioner. They labeled less by scent and more by how they treat your hair? I either have the generic clean one or moisture, can't remember. Anyways, decided to give it a go because it was cheaper and the same brand as my usual, but I don't really care for it. It gets the job done overall, but it lacks in its conditioning, leaving my hair less silky, so I'm waiting to finish the bottle and switch back to their separate shampoo and conditioners. Their Bamboo infused one is my favorite for scent, but I don't really need volume, so it's the Baobab and Hyaluronic Hydrating set mainly, but we switch it up some. Depending on the day, I'll also use Batiste Dry shampoo in the morning, either original or barely scented, and for work I put in Suave Max Hold Mousse and Hairspray. On these warm summer days, I'll spray my arms with Banana Boat SPF50+ Sunblock. If it's a date night, I might work a little bit of vanilla extract and/or tea tree oil into my beard. I've also been copying my girlfriend's skincare routine some evenings, which uses 4 products, but only the last one is really Scented as limes, and although a wash my face most mornings, that can stick through. Despite all of that stuff, I'm pretty neutral For me to have all of these scents at once, it'd have to be a special occasion on a Thursday. Hit up Target and get to huffing if you want that scent profile!

What was the very first video game console you ever owned?
SharpWit replied to Snoopy Fan's topic in Media Discussion
Nintendo 64 for the whole family, and a Gameboy Advance much later for myself. I don't actually remember who I got it from or what happened to it, but it came with only a SpongeBob game which I would kind of speed run, and Brother Bear which I didn't quite finish. I did buy a Harry Potter game of some kind, but it was too dark for me to see much so I didn't get very far. Also a Van Helsing game based on the Hugh Jackman movie, but again would get to a point where I was stuck. Skill issue I couldn't really afford to get more games and was put off by the two I got being "duds" so when I felt done with the original 2, I was done altogether. I got this later, but shout out to Pocket Poker! -
At the very least get some laundry done. Do you have any plans to eat something you haven't tried before, anytime soon?

In the state of Washington, all found cash of over $100 must be reported within 7 days of finding it. However, if no one comes forward to successfully prove it's there's, you get it back, minus processing fees, or any additional reasoning the police can find for withholding it. So my best bet for keeping it without getting in trouble, is to give it up. Chances are slim, but those are my best odds. Although Asset Forfeiture can get a little slimy so eh

Would you want your child to date someone who ..?
SharpWit replied to Reecejackox's topic in Forum Games
Sure, I've got nothing against my future kids being with politicians! Jokes aside, I'd be alright if it was a distant connection. Like, their grandpa worked in the mafia, but their dad grew up clean, and the only person they see that's still connected is that one cousin everyone has at the family reunion. You're part if the family in the sense you'll inherit some blood money that's been laundered, but not criminally involved. Would you want your child to date someone who was raised in a racist household? They themselves may not be racist, but you'll have to interact with the would be in-laws. -
I prefer withholding information or my own opinion if needed. I will knowingly pass on a lie from a family member to another, so long as there's no harm, but I will also specify that thing was said to me by them, which was true. Is it ever ok to leave a task unfinished, so that someone else may finish it for you?

Depends. Cross state? No. Inner city? Absolutely. Am I unreasonable for cleaning out someone's fridge without permission, but there's a bunch of expired things?

Too many to choose from! "Are you feeling it now Mr. Crabs?" "Oh these aren't homemade, they were made in a factory. A bomb factory. They're bombs." "I've got icecream!"

When was the last time you were on a boat? If you had to stack apples as a singular tower, how many apples tall do you think your tower would be? Are you willing to test the above hypothetical? Where were you when you ate your first peanut? How many yellow things are in your home?

Saturday, January 15th 2011. I was in the 7th Grade, wouldn't have joined the fandom or been aware of the show until another year and 2 months. Weather archives show that was a stable cool dry winter day, with highs in the low 50s and and lows in high 40s. After some digging, I can weirdly almost break down exactly what went on when I was half the age I am today, because the day before, "The King is Dead Album" by the Decemberists was released. My youngest aunt had been talking it up, so my Grandma whom I was staying with every other weekend had bought it, and we listened to it while working on birthday cards together. I would draw the pictures and my Grandma would write a haiku to pair with them. Before that, she would've woken me up about 8:00AM I think. According to the TV schedule, I would've watched SpongeBob, "Back to the Past", "The Bad Guy Club for Villains", "Boating Buddies", "The Krabby Kronicle". During that she would've made me 2 Scrambled Eggs, 3 slices of thick cut crispy bacon, 2 pieces of Orrowheat Potato Wheat Bread Toast, and a glass of milk. After the cards, I would've gone outside, shot my pellet gun for a bit, and play on the tire swing since it was cooler out. When it was time for lunch, it was most likely PB&J, and I'd go play in my room, Army Men at that time, but most of that was actually writing profiles of the prisoners. Names, religion, and belongings. My grandma would've been cleaning at the time, and the 103.7 the mountain music lounge was consistent enough that I could sing along for most of that segment. They would usually remove the first song and add a new one at the end, so you could know the rest pretty easily. That's how I remember it anyways. Dinner would be Mac&Cheese with fried hotdogs mixed in, then some more TV. Either more Nickelodeon, some Cartoon Network, Discovery Channel or Animal Planet mostly. I did watch some Two and a Half Men at this point which she didn't really like, lol. Then from 9-10PM she'd turn it to either criminal minds or Law and Order, then it was my bed time, though I would stay up another hour usually reading in bed.

how many times have you been stung by a wasp/bee?
SharpWit replied to Reecejackox's topic in General Discussion
Wasps collect meat to feed their carnivorous larvae, while mainly subsisting off of nectar and other sugary finds as adults. Part of the reason they're so aggressive is that they're not polymorphic like bees, in having a predisposition as a worker, drone, or queen in the traditional sense. The queen in question has to fight for her position as the most dominant member of the colony, which encourages aggression. Wasps also lack barbs on their stingers, meaning they can get you multiple times, and continue on their way, unlike the honey bee, where their sting is fatal to themselves. Wasps lack the body hairs needed to help with pollination, but they are good for pest control against caterpillars and grasshoppers. I would have to guess that I've been stung at least 15 times? The last time was most likely a bee on my forearm while rolling down a hill in 2017. Before that would've been 3 times by a wasp after I shoved a stick into a hole in a tree, and one flew up the length, around my arm, through the sleeve and onto my backside where it asked me how I liked them apples. That would've been 2014 I think? Before that I'm not so sure, the instances kind of just blend together from multiple times over the years at grandparents houses and daycare. My first sting thought, I remember that one. I was with my grandparents eating fried chicken at a beachside picnic table. A wasp wouldn't leave us alone, and I had enough, so I climbed onto the table and clasped it mid air. I didn't squish it though, and peaked inside where I watched it ram that stinger into my tender 3 year old palm. Then the crying ensued. I guess I'm lucky I didn't get sting in the eye. That happened ti my mom when she was little, and now she has an epi-pen for emergencies. -
Update, the Guppy colony and Goldfish are no longer with us. I'm not 100% sure, but our Beta might be a different one? We had a third Cat quite recently and tragically quite briefly. The little guy had an untreatable medical issue. We're still regularly crying. On a positive not though, we have a pet garden Snail and are looking to get some more fish soon. If the eyes are actual fleshy eyeballs, then no. If it's just a quirky set of dome like structures with tracking cameras and they don't light up at night, then sure. A house completely painted inside and out, with glow in the dark paint?

@Lunaholic How fair, thou hast prevailed in our isolation. Such miracles greet us in this coming age, a stolen past renewed. Enjoy them, if you can. Now for the assignment. Tell me, oh glorious reflection. What doth the voices say? The ones that haunt, the ones that prey, or have they long fallen silent?

Originally I was going to say Baseball, but I remember reaching this point where it stopped being fun? I started hitting that difficulty point where you stop winning no matter how well you do. There'd be a character on the other team pop up out of nowhere and get you out. Kind of like how in Boxing you'd start fighting a pretty much invincible Matt over and over again. So I'm going to say Golf, just because there wasn't a sourness that hit you the same. You either managed to get a perfect game with all holes in one or you didn't, so you'd try again. The game didn't mess it up for you.

If there's one I would puchase on the spot, it'd be that for sure

The one I played the most was a SpongeBob one that I could've sworn only had 6 episodes on it? I'd mostly watch it in a backroom at the office my mom worked at. It came in the classic nickelodeon orange plastic. I don't remember all of them, but it had "Wormy" and "Club SpongeBob" with the magic conch shell. I also had, "A Bugs Life" "Antz" "Toy Story" "Dinosaur" "Lady and the Tramp 2" 2 Different "Bob the Builder" "Beauty and the Beast" including the in-between Christmas special? "Peter Pan" 1 and 2 "Blue's Clues" And some others I'm sure. We still have one tape, but it has footage of me as a baby. My first step father was really into pirating, so we had a huge DVD collection at one point.

Water is what I would want to bend, because I'd argue it's the most versatile. You can effectively shape it to whatever you need with enough patience, practice, and training. Need a knife? Slice away. Forgot your work keys? Shape and shift away. Need to get somewhere on foot faster? Glide atop some water and pull it back in from behind. It's really a matter of imagination. A big one with water as well, is I could near instantly dry off from a shower by pulling all of the water off myself. And because of that ability as well, it'd would be super useful in my line of work where I have to frequently restraint and clean up after animals. Hold them in place with water, and swoosh up messes as I go. Earth and Air could potentially be used for holding as well. Fire's the only one that's an absolute nono, and with my luck that's probably what I'd end up with. But for the sake of this topic, I'm picking water. I also live in the Pacific Northwest, so rain is kind of our thing.

I'm very stuck on hopscotch because I'm hearing the clicking of hooves and chalk can be eco-friendly. Unfortunately, I don't think there's a way to make eco friendly video games unless they're purely mechanical? You could use wood and ceramics for parts. Make slot machines, a variation of pinball with bells but no lights. Maybe bubble ringtoss and some others? The only way to include an actual video aspect and include electricity, is if we're moving past an era like we live in today, where solar power and bioplastics are common, everything is carbon neutral/negative, ect. That or like fur clothing, has to be vintage and out of production. Relics of the past, maintained and kept around via green means.

Last night I dreamt that I had broken into my childhood best friend's home. I haven't seen him in like 8 years? And it had been like another 3 since we had really hung out I think? We only lived 2 blocks away from each other back then, but he did a lot of extracurricular stuff after school, and we didn't have any of the same classes, so our schedules didn't line up. One of the last times we hung out, his dad was surprised to me, because apparently it had been a year since I'd been over to their house. Great guy, great family, the time just wasn't there sadly. He's one of the people that got me into this fandom. Anyways, in the dream, I had broken in, and was hanging out in his bedroom, where I found some copper wire and small firecrackers that I had left from forever ago according to the dream. His mom walked in on me and was surprised but friendly, even when I admitted that my friend didn't know I was there. He eventually showed up and it was a little awkward. Not sure why I dreamed that. I had sort of done this before as a kid, where we were supposed to hang out after he got back from his baseball practice. I got to his house before him, and something happened that took another hour. Usually I would knock on the front door to see if he was around and we could hang out, but since I knew he was on his way, I just hopped the fence in the alleyway and went through the backdoor. I just hung out in his room working on some lego project we had begun a while back or something. His dad walked in and with some laundry and was of course surprised, but fine. At another friends house I would just walk in, and it would surprise his dad, but that was because for whatever reason, I was the only person their dogs never barked at, so his warning system never went off.
