I've been thinking about the B-plot of GlomTales overnight, and my thoughts on it haven't changed. Della may be trying to be a good parent, but she took it way too far. Her actions in attempt to "discipline" Louie — caging him in his room, using a robot to stalk him, stunning him with electricity, using "how-to" videos to guilt-trip Louie, telling him that he had to give up his scheming habit "if he wanted to be a part of the family" — isn't discipline. It's abuse. Della's method of "discipline" included a threat to disown a ten-year-old boy — a boy she knew nothing about and by far the most emotional of the three — if he didn't abandon his ability to scheme.
To make it worse, everything signals that it's resolved for now, and I have no idea if the DT crew will address this conflict again. These kinds of tactics are manipulative and can damage a child's psyche; this is not something to be swept under the rug! I hope it gets resolved next season, because right now, I hold no confidence. The "Della bonding" arc is the worst of the show.

@Renegade the Unicorn Considering she almost lost her family again, I can see why she got really angry and put her foot down this time, so it's not out of character. But her methods of "discipline" are appalling, raw, and what a lot of abused children experienced. If this is closure, they handled it atrociously.
