    The Scooby-Doo live-action film from the early-2000s sucks, but the worst part, IMO, is the treatment of Scrappy-Doo. I don't care if he's unlikeable, annoying, or one-dimensional. Bashing and villainizing him in the film is STUPID!

    The more I think about Yu-Gi-Oh GX's 4Kids dub, the more I realize how screwed up some of the jokes are. seriously, fat jokes at Chumley and transphobic jokes at Crowler? Those jokes won't fly in today's world.

      4Kids dubs in general are awful considering how much they alter their source material and do whatever they can to censor anything that looks remotely Japanese, and went as far as to have Japanese characters sing the Star Spangled Banner. Their approach to dubbing often comes across as Xenophobic

    One thing the writers at Looney Toons did so well was how they all but perfected cartoon comedy. They worked their asses off to make the jokes work.

      Yes, and they also tied a lot of jokes in with current events, making them a great time capsule of the times they were created in.

    Stories like the 2013 Red Sox, 1991 Twins and Braves, 2003 Marlins, 1997 Giants, and 2008 Rays are why I am completely against relegation in North American sports. If relegation existed, we wouldn't have such great worst-to-first stories.

      This is actually incorrect. As you probably do not know, most of the writers of our constitution were deists, not Christian. Not only that, but "one nation under God" was added sometime in the 50s or 60s to the pledge (illegally added at that considering church and state separation) for the purpose of setting us apart from our enemies at the time.       Actually, I never said they were Christian, bud. I know they were deists. And I know that the one part was added into the pledge in the 50s. However, it wasn't illegal. It'd be against the constitution if it were illegal.

      Anyway... what's the point of swearing in if they aren't consistently done the same way? I find it absolutely useless if it's inconsistent like you say it is.

      i could careless of how predictable the culprit is to some people, not all in the audience are going to suspect. To me, so long as the adventure was fun and endearing, I can easily forgive how simple a resolution is.

      I agree that the mystery was solved the instant they showed the new character. They set everything up pretty perfectly, motive and all. I was then hoping that the reveal would at least be very exciting, since we knew pretty much "who" and "why" they did it, I was really excited to see "how." It wasn't quite as exciting, but for sure Rarity fans loved it. XD
