    I'm really happy you think highly of it! Truth be told I never draw digitially- its my weakness. I just cannot use a tablet to draw. (I don't use a tablet at all actually) I draw the line art on a piece of paper, scan it, then color it in/tweak it digitally. My hands always get really sore though, because I don't use a mouse or a tablet, just the little track pad thing. ;__; I've always wanted to try SAI but last time I did it scared me off with my having no clue what to do. Well thank you! and yeah I think I get the gist of it now- so I hope to be able to knock another piece or two out today if I don't write some fanfic instead. Don't be too hard on yourself, I don't even think I'm a great artist and I have been classically trained in old masters style oil painting for like 12 years now. (I'm 19 years old so it feels like my whole life.) It just takes a lot of practice, mostly in being able to see things for how they look and not what they are if that makes sense. Also I cant draw on a tablet to save my life, I do all my linework on paper.

    Totally agreed. I didn't mean to disagree with your point I just wanted th extremity of my mistake to be understood I'm context to the style I was aiming for. Thank you for the advice! It's great to get perspectives from others, it's basically the reason I posted this in the first place.

    It's a good start and there's no need to be too hard on yourself. First of all the body is too long, and the line of th stomach is curved oddly. Also, the legs are too straight, make sure you distinguish the back hooves from the front in their shape. Keep it up, you did well with her mane and tail

    @nightmarecadence that critique is helpful, though the legs and body are a style choice since I wasn't really going for the look of the art featured in the show. Still I will definitely take your comments, especially the bit about the neck, and use them to work on my art in the future. Thank you!

    I'm not sure, I wouldn't say so but I've had plenty of people tell me I look just how like they think I am on the inside. It might just be more apparent to other people since we all have our own personal biases.

    The long legs were intentional yes but the wings are too small because they were an afterthought, I forgot to include them in the original line work. Also I did the entire piece in like an hour at 3 am, if that's any excuse thank you for the honest feedback, I really appreciate it!

    I drew he line work with pencil and paper as I always do, then colored it digitally using the paint feature on a website called ipiccy. I think I'm going to try gimp on my next one though.     Here she is! Valentina Crush! I've got a better quality piece in the works at the moment but I'm not unhappy with this one considering I did it a bit hurriedly in the early morning hours with sleepy eyes and apparently sleepy hooves. I hope you don't mind my posting this, it makes me feel a little presumptuous, but I also wanted to be able to contribute something! I love it here already

    Despite having followed the show since it's beginning and lurking around sites like this before without actually joining I've decided to give it a whirl in the hopes of meeting some like minded friends, and maybe being able to contribute something interesting! I'm excited to meet all of you!
