This is the first of hopefully many releases that are written, composed, arranged and performed by 'Draconequus', A Metal Band in Tribute to the spectacular show My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. This video is the first two tracks from the album that PlunderSteed and I are writing. It's an epic adventure that sees Twilight Sparkle and her friends embark on a quest to the "Lands Beyond Equestria." They must stop Queen Chrysalis before her Changeling army invades all of Equestria. Production for the rest of the album is in full swing, and we plan to complete it later this year. In addition, expect to see monthly covers, parodies, and other original pieces, all released on this channel. Nice job mate. I don't have much experience in writing cliptune music, but I can imagine seeing in some sort of "timed challenge mini-game" in a NES game (even though I don't think NES allow this many layers).

Haha real subtle band promotion there; I'll wait for some sorta band recording/demo, I don't like viewing things till they're some what finished.

So I had a chat with Michael who is rythnm guitarist for my band collaboration (If you don't know what that is Read this and this) And we were talking about band names, because the only thing he had come up with at that point "Discordal Element" which is a good start. This is a update on a forum post I made back in March. To summaries, I said I wanted to make a Power Metal My Little Pony Band, (cuz ya know, they're like bread and butter) and the main idea I talked about in the that forum post, was a concept album all with music following a storyline, about: The first main track being an epic power metal song called "Lands Beyond Equestria". Since then, I've gathered some awesome musicians ( , , , Keyboardist), written a couple more songs, planned out the storyline of the album and ALMOST finished everything for Lands Beyond Equestria. Rhythm Guitars, Lead Guitars, Bass, Drums and Keyboard have been recorded, and footage has been recorded for each part (except for keys...he was busy ok) But as I said, it's almost finished, all that left is vocals. Which I think most people can agree, is pretty damn important! We've had complications with finding a vocalist. Complications I would rather not get into, but to say the least, everyone is busy. But I'm hoping that everything will be for Lands Beyond Equestria will be finished by next weekend (The 3rd of July), but of course there's is no promises. After that I'm hoping that can release songs, covers and parodies on some sort of time bases'. An example of one for these, is a parody I've written called "Stop the Bronies" which is a parody of "Stop the Bats" and is basically about the hate and butthurt that people experience from Bronies. Now I should probably bring something to your attention, the drummer and Keyboardist are only temporary members, in fact they're good friends of mine, IN FACT they aren't even Bronies. What basically happened is I was having trouble finding member for this bands, and both of these guys wanted to do some sort of collab with me, so I thought this would be a good time to do that. They both liked the song, and they agreed to help me out. The reason I bring this up is because, I'm still looking for a drummer and keyboardist. so if you're interested please contact me via e-mail. Although you won't be in the Lands Beyond Equestria recording, you will however be in later ones (hopefully). And...I think that's about everything you need to know. ... @The True Black Star At some stage maybe, but what with probably happen is everyone will go off and recording there parts by themselves, using a some sort of template/backing track. Which might sound silly at first, but,considering that a lot of bands in studio record one track at a time, it's actually pretty reasonable. I've been a brony for about 2 years, and never really got that into the fandom, until I started listen to some Pony Music, and it's inspired me. First of all It's not gonna really be a band. More of just a group of people on the internet who make music, But regardless I'm gonna keep saying 'band'. The first big Idea I have for this band is a rock opera album. The opera is about twiight and the rest of the Mane6 going to a place that's outside of equestria, completely. Why? Because word has gotten to celestria that the changelings are invading equestria and this time they will be unstoppable. Sound cheesy I know, but that's really power metal in a nutshell. I've already written the first song for this album called "Lands Beyond Equestria", and I've made a draft for the song as well. Most of it is MIDI, but you should get the idea from it, also this is just a draft, it isn't my best playing. An mp3 and Lyrics are attached. Oh course like any other MLP Music Maker, we would do covers as well. here some of the cover ideas I've already had. Stop the Bats Parody (Stop the Bronies) about the war/hate against bronies. This Day Aria Metal Cover, I haven't seen a cover of it that quite has the idea I do. Babs Seed EVIL VERSION, the idea of this cover is a major to minor, faster, heavier version of the song. Basically imagine if Babs Seed was the devil instead of a bully. Opening Extended Theme, because for some reason I haven't seen anyone do it yet. The NOT Brony-medley, A medley of song that are often associated with the fandom, but with context removed, really have nothing to do with it. such as PFUDOR and werid al's music. The Mare of Nightmare Night by Skybolt, Rhapsody of Fire styled cover. Cuz it only makes sense. Luna by Eurobeat Brony, No cool idea for this one, the song is just awesome. Dimond Dogs by Eurobeat Brony, Again no reason, it's just fucking awesome. So here what I'm looking for in this Band: Drumer (TEMPORARY FOUND, STILL LOOKING): I'm basically looking for a Power Metal drummer. Needs to be able to play fast, lota double bass, and can also write drums solos (There's is a part for a solo in the song attached, at 2:37) Bassist (TAKEN BY NLR Information Minister): Looking for a fast bass player (I don't mind if you use a pick), Also would be great if can do fills and solos (There's is a part for a solo in the song attached, at 3:42) Second Guitarist (TAKEN, sxp): Me being the first Guitarist, I'm looking for a right-hand men to shred with. Need to be good a both Rythnm and lead playing, and can also write solos (opportunity of solo in song attached at 3:18). Keyboardist (TEMPORARY FOUND, STILL LOOKING): I'll be honesty, keys don't play a huge part in my writing. Most of its fill. But regradless I'm looking for a keyboardist. There isn't a part of a keyboard solo in "lands beyond equestria", but they'll hopefully be opportunities in others songs. Vocalist: (TEMPORARY FOUND, STILL LOOKING) I used a violin of the vocal melody in the draft, and that sort of sound I'm basically looking for. Good, Strong, Loud Vocal (Also since the rock opera is from the perspective of twilight, a good twilight sparkle impression would be wonderful, but it's not necessary).
