How about the Pony Holidays are celebrated on the anniversary of the date the episode airs? Or we could just rename their IRL equivalents as just a subtle in-joke.

I knew the episode was going to be love-it-or-hate-it. I'm glad most people sided with the former. It was a dang good episode. And due to the stand-aloneness of the episode; it could be a good episode to convert people with.

I have converted a couple of people by mentioning it to them and pointing them to where they can find it. I would also watch episodes in school, which would pique everyone's curiosity. Those who approached me would get an appropriate explanation ("So, it turns out that the show is actually quite good. Have you ever heard of Lauren Faust?"). The important thing is not to force it on anyone or annoy anyone too much. This is a show that must be approached with an open mind. So you will have the most luck converting someone willing to watch it without resistance. (Don't worry, everyone caves in to curiosity sooner or later). I don't think you should be worried too much about bullying, though. If the teachers do it, you can sue their asses. If your friends do it, then they are probably joking around and don't mean any harm (they are your friends, after all). Lauren Faust is a good way to ease in the conversation topic.

Extra Credits made a reference to it during the summer. They showed a picture of Rainbow Dash and I thought: "What a pretty pony." Then, I found out about Lauren Faust's involvement after some research, and I searched for the thing on Youtube. The fan content did keep me at bay somewhat as I eagerly awaited the first episode of season 2.

To everyone who is upset that the ponies are not properly characterized and all that stuff, remember: It's a play within the show. Rainbow Dash wasn't really the one to dislike, it was Commander Hurricane. Now let's talk about communism!

Random thoughts: -"I see someone eating a gingerbread house!" Yes Pinkie, we know you can see the future. -I have never seen such blatant disrespect for giant hats! -Racism! -Fluttershy + Short skirt = weirdest boner right now -Oh hai, Starswirl reference. -So it's settled. Equestria is a country. -And so, the proletariat was joined in harmony through mutual not hate for each other and hate for THE MAN. -Brony Anthem, called it. Good episode. I really liked it. Final Score: 9.8/10 (I would give it a full 10, but Rarity would never wear that Christmas hat or mistreat that crown so.)

I'm gonna say it. This has been the best episode of season 2 (and season 1, arguably). Very good, and very believable characterization in this episode for my two favorite ponies. And we also got a fairly big portion of Applejack, too.
