    I hope this isn't too controversial, but I think human rights are a philosophy, and I don't think that just because the UN or whatever says something is a human right, that doesn't make it an "objective" human right. Sure, it makes it a LAW, but I don't think it necessarily makes it a human right.

      That is a fact and shouldn't be controversial there are no real rights you are not entitled to anything and said "rights" you have are always needed to be enforced via threat of violence.

      Why does this sound like a weaselly justification for torture and physical violence at the hands of states? I'm not sure about you, but I certainly appreciate having the rights I DO have.

       

      Would you want to live in Nazi Germany? I wouldn't either. I'd get thrown into a concentration camp and that's assuming the best. A homosexual that would also be called a "Jew" due to lacking Aryan attributes could be a death camp candidate.
