Long receipts for a single purchase are crazy. Farewell to the rainforests if someone were to buy the entire store's contents all in one go and insist on a receipt. Outside of record keeping, your average normal receipt is nothing more than a free gift of a used post it note.

For me though, the annoying thing about going to pay for stuff is when they ask if I have a loyalty card. It gets awkward when you have to tell them that you've been seeing the other stores behind their back.
